Yes my other doctor was a horrible man (at least to me!).
His basic views were "you're young, you have a job and a rented house therefore nothing to be depressed about".
He read none of my background history (which my old GP made a point of sending over as it explained everything - only changed GP's cause moved area).
So I'm on my 3rd GP in 6 months and he's as brilliant as the one where I used to live! :)

Edit; Thanks for welcoming me by the way :)

    Good evening all

Hope you have all had a good day... here are my five OS pleasures for today

    1) Finished a report needed for work and managed to get it done in four pages!
    2) Found lots of things for elderly mum to watch now Wimbledon is finished and its all on one channel which makes remote channel changing via the phone not needed today! (Mum has dementia and struggles with the remote controls, was dreading the moans that there was nothing for her to watch!)
    3) Worked at home today in just a t-shirt and undies - nice and cool
    4) Had someone be really helpful supplying me with the information I needed - and at short notice!
    5) Now going to go and cook something for my supper knowing my work is complete for tomorrow....

    Hiya everyone

Nasty phone call from credit card people because i paid a day early so went on the wrong bill then they closed the account as someone trying buying a lcd tv on the card so couldnt use online services so didnt know!! Anyway, all sorted after speaking to a nice man. and then the nasty man phoned back, lied to me about speaking to dh and demanded money again, so dh had a go at him!!! :D Then I got a phone call from a charity and had the usual speal of we do this blah blah blah then said 'how much money are you going to donate' and i said what and they said 'how much money are you going to give us'. uuummmm NONE!!! Not asking if i would be able to donate, asking how much!! then they kept saying 'what, not even 20.00 or 10.00'. NNNNOOOOO!!!!

    Anywhoo

Sparrer - to my surprise my hair looks really nice, the curls have sprung back up and didnt take long to do so i wore it down today and didnt get any funny looks!!! :p Well done dh!! :D

Belated Happy Birthday zara, hope you got all you wished for and more :D
Lemon curd and/or lemonade patchwork but whatever you decided on I'm sure it's delicious
Caterina what a super bonus to DH's new job, free tube travel must be a really valued 'perk' :T
Congrats on your 3lb loss Kitchenbunny, wonder how long it'll stay off though with all the crumbles on the menu ;)
Hope you're feeling better CCP, perhaps you need take a little 'me time' when you can. Well done on getting ahead with the studies, now relax a little :)
Hi KarleyMarie, welcome . We're only tightknit in respect of looking out for each other, all are welcome here to share the good things, no matter how insignificant they might seem at the time. Keep coming back and keep posting your pleasures :D
Lol Celia I used to work in tees and undies but if I did that now I think I'd be arrested . Well done on helping your mum with the programmes, dementia isn't the easiest illness to manage for the carers
Tealady the breakfast sounds good, can't wait for the raspberries to come in for the same purpose. Good for you getting the bag, I love those freebie boards :D
Sounds like you had quite a day on the phone nuttybabe. What a horrid little man the original caller was. And :p to the charity, I didn't know they were allowed to do that. Blooming cheek

    My 5
    1. No lie-in today as it was so hot in the bedroom I couldn't sleep, but I sat out with my early morning cuppa and watched the cats and dog rolling on the lawn. (Not sure if the cats think they're a dog or the dog think he's a cat but they all copy each other :D)
    2. Made a shepherds pie well padded with oats and veg so that 4oz of mince has made enough for 3 dinners :j
3 Defrosted a YS chicken to have roast, cold, curried etc etc, I usually manage to get at least 6 meals and soup out of one :D
    4. nsd
    5. The sheer pleasure on a friends face when she told me one of her lettuce seeds had grown into a tiny plant. Not so long ago she was drinking and using, now she's clean and is squeezing every moment out of every day :A

    Night night, sweet dreams

Thanks so much for the good wishes, I am getting there anxiety wise.

KarleyMarie: I also have recently been diagnosed as suffering with anxiety, which is also largely related to my job. I am so glad your GP is being understanding and hope you feel loads better soon! Welcome to a lovely forum. I joined in for exactly the same reasons, to focus on the positive, "little" things in life. It does make a difference. :)

CCP: I really hope you are feeling loads better today.

Sparrer: I loved the image of your cats and dogs (or should I say dats and cogs?) copying eachother and rolling on the lawn. :)

Caterina: Very well done on your Race for life, I'm also hoping to run a bit next year, or maybe just walk/jog the 10k for a bit of a challenge. Please what was your freebie from Grazia?

Ladyhawk: How is your furbabe today? I spoke too soon about my chicken, she is very unhappy and off her food today just like last time. :(

Here are my pleasures for the last couple of days:

    1. OH outdid himself yesterday by fixing the loo seat, putting up bathroom light and also attaching a loo roll holder. Bathroom is almost done now, just waiting on the plumber to sort out the shower.

    2. Took DD into town to the secondary school uniform shop. Were served by the manager, a lovely chap, who helped sort out everything we needed (very expensive mind you!). Bumped into a lovely girl my DD used to be best friends with at nursery school, who we haven't seen for years, and it turns out she is off to the very same secondary school! Am really chuffed for DD.

    3. This morning had a lovely swim and 45 minute aqua aerobics session. Hope I will sleep better tonight as a result as I have been waking up worrying about things again...

    4. A lovely lady on MSE sent me her cowshed lip balm (as she didn't like it) because mine never turned up. Luckily I like it more than she did. :)

    5. Have been invited to a partylite party by a neighbour. Unfortunately its the same night as I have to go to DD's secondary school info evening, but it was lovely to have been asked all the same.

    3) Getting bathroom cleaned and decluttered. Put some shower gels etc away so the others get used up first! (I would blame OH but I'm just as bad as him when I'm in a rush!)
    4) Sorted out the dumping ground which used to be and now is again our landing!
    5) Forgot to include lie in :rotfl:think it's cause I'm getting used to them after being ill last week. Hope I get up okay for work tomorrow!

Hope everyones had a good day and hugs to anyone who needs them

    Evening everyone,

I didn't post yesterday as I spent most of the day on the verge of tears as I was convinced I would have to put the furbabe to sleep. He went down hill on Sunday night and I thought that was it. The vet gave him another injection and by the evening he seemed a little perkier, though that might have just been because he was allowed on my bed. The test results should have been back this morning but now they should be back tomorrow. I hope it brings good news.

So my pleasures from the last two days
    1) Dinner with two of my brothers, my SIL and uncle who was visiting from home. My SIL made a gorgeous dinner and it was all very good natured.

    2) Lost my phone... and then embarressingly found it in my handbag after getting it barred!

    3) Punnet of cherries for £1 from Mr A... divine!

    4) Having the furbabe in bed with me... he is such a lovely natured creature who I'll miss very much if the results aren't good tomorrow.

    5) Two things are STC on Freecycle. I had listed them a couple of times before with no takers but this time I had a few for each item.

    Night night all.

    Sleep well

    L

PS - I really liked your pleasure Sparrer about your friend and her lettuce plant. Inspirational really and it just goes to show that people can clean them selves up with the right encouragement and support.
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.
