Hey4od is the channel four on demand website. You can get loads of shows on there....whatever you want to watch all for free. I really like it as it means I can watch what I want when I want
CCP, Saving for oz,I have lost the touch with mine. I feel awful going back to buying it because I used to be able to make it no bother.... wonder what's up with me now..... It's a panny too so should be ok.... Oh well will try again!
Nuttybabe- A bacon and egg sarnie sounds just the ticketHmmm its making me hungry LOL

Hope you have/had a good visit with your Dad wogglemaker
How many chooks do you have Ginger Snap? I thought about getting 2 but don't know if I'd have enough space. Hope your tiler turns up this week
I feel for all the fans who spent good money going to SA to see the games live CCP, what a terrible waste. The spinach and ricotta lasagne sounds delicious. Hope you enjoy the goosegogs, my bush is autumn fruiting so have a long wait yet
Pleased you're home nuttybabe and will enjoy a night in your own bed...nothing like it, is there?
Hi Celia, welcome . Sounds like a busy day but fun and very healthy!
Oh dear jollymummy, bless the neighbour's kids . Good to hear you had a fun lunch though, to make up for not getting your lie-in
Had to laugh at you brother Tealady, I have one just the same. If it's any consolation it doesn't get better, mine's now 68 and still a real pain at times
Villagelife I so agree, it's the simple things we don't notice that are the best. I love seeing the poppies in the hedgerows
Sounds like a yummy foodie weekend savingforoz, but I hope you at least have a chair to sit on and a bed to sleep in!
My 5 -
1. Got a beautiful thank you card for my volunteering yesterday, although I did it because I don't like being in a crowd and could stay in the background
2. Phone call telling me I've won £25 in the raffle :T

Slightly fed up here... My Grandma would have been 93 on Friday (first birthday since she died) and my best friend at primary school would be 35 tomorrow. Anyway....
1) Giving the garden a going over and sweeping the patio area.
2) Using some left over puff pastry and making vol au vents.
3) Making my dad a father's day card and popping down to see him.
4) Spending well over an hour in the river Teme this afternoon with my sons. They tried to make a bridge across it (more like a walkway, really) - out of pebbles! It would have been OK had there been no current and if it wasn't quite so deep in the middle.
5) Going out this evening with my sister. Although I wasn't really in the mood. We went to see Show of Hands (a folk group) and I have to say - technically excellent, some good tunes, but oh my goodness to the inane prattle between the songs! What a know all! He would have been better just introducing the next song and maybe telling us the inspiration behind it, not attempting a joke... Still, perhaps that's just me being tired and miserable!
Nothing else to report from here.

Hiya...
I've taken a few months off from posting on this thread (everything got miserable for a while) but things are looking better now and I hope I can join in regularly again. Need to get things back on track on the MS front again (before the b**get) Lovely to see people I 'knew' from before still posting here.
My five delights for today:
1. A NSD
2. An afternoon nap with the window open and a warm breeze blowing in.
3. Quiche with some absolutely delicious organic new potatoes from the vegbox (and carrots and salad) for supper.
4. Getting a load of revision done with DS2 who has GCSE exams tomorrow.
5. On a complete whim, deciding to drive out to the nearest stone circle this evening. We arrived at sunset with beautiful red skies, the moon already clear and visible, the lights twinkling in the little town in the valley below and people gathering quietly, in small numbers, ready to see mid-summer in. It was really magical and, although we only stayed for a short while, I was very pleased to have shared the moment with DS2 who was caught up in the specialness of it all. (Made a wish that his papers are going to be straightforward tomorrow! Every little helps)
Sleep well and merry mid-summer everyone.

((((ACEY)))) I do empathise. My Dad died 14 years ago today and it really was the longest day having to drive down to London to pick up my DB and DSis then down to Cornwall to my step mum. I'm sure your Grandma and best friend are with you and know you're thinking of them x
Welcome back Broomstick :hello: looking forward to hearing how everything is with you
I really am going to close the lid and go to sleep now0 -

Acey - Big hugs to you today

2. Dinner with the inlaws and the lamb shank MIL cooked was delish plus followed by eves pudding
3. DD discovering that the best cure to stomach cramps is very OS in the form of a hot water bottle. She has decided she doesn't like being a girl:rotfl:

And finally
5. Found out we have free tickets to Wimbledon next Saturday:T:T:T:T:T0 -
Sorry for your losses ACEY and thinking of you.
Lovely, gorgeous day here to day, I have also been picking roses from the garden for the vases and they smell lovely.
My blessings for the past couple of days.

Hi all
Well I'm looking on the bright side but I am in a panic about the budget tomorrow as my hubby works for the public ector and we are really strapped for cash as it is. Folks forget that not all public sctor workers are highly paid execs and clock watchers. He's worked blimmin hard for 20 years now for not much money!
Anyhoo, try not to think about it. Here goes.
1. Gave hubby a lovely Fathers Day (really missed my darling Dad who died 8 years ago)
2. went up to lottie yesterday and planted sweetcorn and leeks.
3. got my hands on our car frst time for 2 weeks today - hubby usually has it for work - bought a couple of bargainous tops with my birthday money - saved from January
4. After being made redundant and applying for loads of jobs my nephew has got a new job and my other nephew has been set on as an electrical apprentice - bless them both. They are 23 and 18 and work so hard. In fact all 3 of my nephews do, two of them have 2 jobs already. Good on them.
5. My DS looked so cute in his uniform and sun hat this morning
Enjoy the sunshine
