Hi everyone,
Just popped in quickly to do my pleasures...
1) gorgeous sunshine and enjoyed a little wander into town to get my glasses fixed
2) Free ice cream at work
3) Frozen fruit samples, yummy curry sauce samples and some veg spread samples from work
4) Little snooze when I got home
5) Hopefully got a cat sitter to look after the boys when I go away. She is coming to see me tomorrow to discuss. She sounded really nice on the phone.
Night all!
LMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Evening all
hope you're all well and hugs to those who need them. Firstly well done Catrina !!
righto.
1. Had a lovely morning with my pal and her little boy. She's potty training him at the mo, we had a lot of giggles while he sat on his potty and would not let go of his ice lolly
2. Had a nice chit chat with Mums at school and neighbours.
3. Read a bit of my library book, it's fab.
4. Had lovely cuddles from DS who has really enjoyed his football themed day at school.
5. Spent a smashing hour up at the allotment tonight and had a chst with some lovely allotment neighbours, they are so friendly and kind.
Take care everyone

Evening all! What a glorious day!
My 5 for today:
1. Free packet of raisins from the gym.
2. Not very moneysaving, but necessary - ordered a new mobile phone for my trip, as my one is triband, not quadband, and won't work in a lot of the places where I'm going. Did have a Tesco voucher to use on it, though.
3. Revised my budget for June and I have more money available now as I've been really watching the outgoings this month.
4. Yummy savoury rice for tea.
5. Finishing early at a client near to my house.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
Sparrer I'd be lost without hubby, he's always clearing up after me when i go and do too much. Hopefully he'll have to do less when the specialists sort out the wonky bits of my immune system. It may even mean fewer courses of steroids
.
1 more for Wednesday
An extra 2 loaf tins bought reduced at Mr T - Dad now lives on his own in Brum so I do cooking for his freezer, with 4 x 1lb loaf tins and a food processor I can knock up a batch bake of cakes really easily with pop in loaf tin liners.
Back to Thursday
1. A beautiful sunny day in glorious Gloucester.
2. Finished off the pre Brum run batch bake with cherry, coconut, ginger and plain fruit cakes (each two of).
3. Managed to empty the dish washer after the morning neb & tablet thing before starting the bake run.
4. Hubby got more planting done, nearly there on the mammoth flower run, we always start off too many seedlings.
5. A quick trip round the GP'S, chemist and Morries gave me my repeat script (woops forgot to add nebs to serevent so ended up with inhailer instead) but can rectify tommorrow as managed to get a quick appointment for annual health review. Also lamb joint, lean breast of lamb and sirloin beef joint reduced to half price .
love and hugs to all

A flying visit for me today, so here goes!
1. Finding 5p on the street. I do think times are harder as there was a 1p on the floor of the bus tonight and quite a few people bent to try to get it!
2. Making a big batch of meat feast pasta.
3. Making some chewy snack bars.
4. Getting a bit more sewing done.
5. The lovely weather.
Have a good evening, everyone. I'll try to catch up a bit more soon!

Evening
Sparrer - Hope they manage to sort out the pain relief for your friend and make him more comfortable.
Kitchenbunny - please can I have the recipe for the chewy snack bars if possible
Wogglemaker - All that baking sound yummy I'm sure your dad is looking forward to your visit
Ralloctiger - I'm worn out just reading what you got done this morning
My pleasures for today:
1. Enjoyed the pimms at bit too much last night:eek: so the morning chores were reduced to the minimum and sat with a cup of tea instead of doing some ironing before work
2. Bacon sandwich this morning from the cafe across the road from the office. Well my excuse is they did have an offer on so got a bag of crisps and can of coke thown in for free.
3. Managing to solve a problem at work on my own that no one else knew how to do:T I was feeling very smug with myself
4. Being able to find the cheapest price for a present my mum wants to buy for my dad for his birthday. All ordered for her saving over £100 and she said I could have the nectar points for the order which were on double points.:money:
5. On my walk to pick DD up from guides seeing a flock of parakeets flying overhead. They were such a vivid green colour.
Hugs to all who need them or just want one0 -
Unbelievably weary tonight., eyes almost on strike already!
1. The other half of the shed went and although they did clear up my poor little garden looked like a bomb site with the final contents of the shed all over it. Have worked off and on for 4 hours and finally stopped when I realised I was almost sleep walking. The OS part is the shed going to a good home and I've lots more things to put on freecycle :T
2. A nsd...didn't have time to think about it!
3. Made a very tasty odds and ends wok dinner added to pasta twists and a lonely pork fillet. Discovered that one jar of pasta sauce will last me five/six times, so it's hardly worth making my own
4. This one may be too much information...I dug out the clothes from the linen bin, that I wore when I did some gardening earlier in the week, and put them on to clear up the mess. They'll get washed tonight (using Econ7 of course) but I didn't see the point of dirtying a fresh lot.
5. The neighbours have returned from their holiday. While not really OS it will save some paracetamol...the two teens do like to share their music when Mum and Dad aren't about. (Not complaining, I was a teen once, honest!)
Going to fall into bed now, night night n sweet dreams

Loving all of the posts on here!:D
1. Cooked some chicken pieces to make chicken burgers whilst on holiday.
2. Cut a lot of our salad bits that we have grown, to bring with us and eat, whilst on holiday.
3. Ate all our leftover duck from last night, with veg and gravy, before we left. Arrived at our caravan to find it spotless.
4. Had fish and chips instead of planned supper. Very impromtu.
Cause it was a knackering drive up here.
5. Watching the footy now.
And then Sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Felines are my favourite

5 for yesterday (if I can remember) and 5 for today...
Yesterday
1) Child psych coming to the house to do his assessment on little son for autism (all the different specialists have to see him). I had to leave the room but obviously was hanging over the bannisters, snooping! I could hear a few autistic bits, don't know if they seemed serious to The Man or not. The child psych was called Neville and he introduced himself to smaller son to a lot of giggling... then he said, "Haven't you ever met anyone called Neville before?" and smaller son said, "No I haven't!" before cracking up again! Poor Neville!
2) Took smaller son back to school after The Man had gone and was asked if I want to volunteer again next year and which day would suit me. I have been there for 4 years now but there is always that time towards the end of the academic year when I wonder if they'll want me back.
3) The electricity was off all day due to repairs in the village (no cup of tea for Neville!) so I went to mum and dad's for a cuppa after lunch.
4) Had a quick chat with my neighbour which is always good when you are single and sometimes days go by without chatting with another adult.
5) Went in to the local town briefly for library books and went to the 2nd hand shop. Got some Next shorts for smaller son and 2 brand new Next T shirts with Dr Who designs for older son :-)
6) Older son had after school fencing club so smaller son and I went to pick strawberries up the lane.
Today
I will have to stress my hermit-like existence over the past 6 months for readers to understand the significance of the first 2 pleasures...
1) Met up with someone from college. Which probably doesn't sound like a big thing to anyone else but meeting someone new, driving to the station to meet her, driving WITH AN ADULT PASSENGER!!, going for a cup of tea AND chatting with someone for 2 hours is something I never do. And it all went well.
2) Went to my neighbour's and looked after his sons for a bit so he could get some jobs done.
3) Went to Sainsburys and have some nice main meals lined up until after the weekend.
4) Went swimming with sons and my brother.
5) Boys were happy all day and got to see the baby ferrets in their new run at mum and dad's. Look away now if squeamish - the ferrets eat a lot of road kill and our cat had caught and killed a bird and the ferrets had that too and thought it was very tasty!
That's about it. Quiet day tomorrow.
