A flying visit here - my 5 for yesterday:

    1. Delicious curry with a friend at my local curry house, washed down with some cider that I was given for my birthday.

    2. Finishing work early.

    3. America crime dramas later on in evening.

    4. Welcoming my boss back to work after his holiday - and having a laugh at him not packing a jacket or trousers to go to Canada, a country renowned for being a bit chilly...

    5. Doing a little bit more clearing out in house.

    6. Speaking with an old schoolfriend and hearing how good she is feeling after getting her health issues diagnosed and appropriate treatment for them.
Life is not a dress rehearsal.

Yikes just obliterated and lost my whole post!!!!
Here I go again. Sparrer your beach hut sounds really amazing! Wogglemaker happy belated birthday wishes, hope you had a great day! Ampersand I love the poem in your signature. It reminds me of a photo we took when on a recent holiday. It was of a large group of sheep and lambs resting in the shade of a large tree. Such a tranquil scene and I will print out the photo today and get DH to frame it and hang it on the bedroom wall for me. No blessings to report yet today, but hopefully a few later. Have a good day everyone!

Hmm we had a car accident, I got whiplash. Hubby had accident at work got concussion. Great stuff too,(I was told by my employer of 5 years ago they had lost an invoice and wanted me to cough up, 1400 pounds. I said this was unfair after all this time and it'sfinally been written off - yay !!) hols, family fun etc, etc. I'm back and here goes and I WILL find time to catch up on everyones news.

    1. We finally have an allotment - hooray - another reason I've been AWOL.
    2. The sun is shining :)
    3. I can pamper hubby on Fathers Day as for the first time for years, I'm not working!!
    4. We're taking my boy (who is now 5!) for a splash about at the pool tonight.
    5. I'm about to make some tomato and parmesan bread for tea, and I'm hungry just thinking about it....
    Have a great day folks

Sparrer - the flowerpots must look great painted blue. I've seen the idea in magazines but have never managed to do it..

It was easier than I thought villagelife, I used ordinary old plastic pots rubbed with sandpaper to give the paint a a key, and used the wood preservative I'd used for the beach hut...don't know if one is supposed to but I did anyway :D. I put three coats on to make sure it's reasonably weatherproof then painted the flowers on with acrylics (thanks, freebie board). The first was a failure as I didn't realise how quickly you have to work with acrylic but after some tips from an arty friend learned to do it properly. Re your saying you've seen the idea in mags has given me an idea ...might take a couple along next time I do a car boot sale and see what the response is.Thanks villagelife!

Have to come back with this:

Someone with whom I have been involved through Charity has been allocated the flat we tracked and traced last week.

It is another wonderful piece of news.
