3.Went for a walk by the harbour and managed to clear my head
4. Bought a bargain 99p necklace in charity shop - well chuffed!!
5. Chuckled at " the wiggles" on Radio 2....Can they really be that popular?....Sell out concerts worldwide....someone is having a laugh!

Morning all! Good luck to those of you with job interviews, fingers crossed. Glad you're feeling better CPP.
My five for yesterday:
1) Being invited over to dinner with DS1 and his partner later in the week.
2) Finding my online shopping order was all correct with no substitutions and lots of offers. Yippee!
3) Visiting my DM who is in a nursing home and very poorly. I fear she will not be with us for very much longer and it is so hard to see her like this, but I still want to visit her as much as possible, even though she doesn't always seem to know I'm there. I know the home are looking after her so well and this gives me some comfort.
4) Finding a sticky note on my cupboard with a lovely little message from my DH.
5) Catching up with some of my paperwork which I had let slip a bit.
Although nothing too exciting, it's just nice to have a day when things seem reasonably normal. It's been a bit manic here recently.
Have a good day everyone, hope you all have lots of lovely blessings.Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

Hi
Happy Tuesday everyone.
1. Off to my course Thursday evening for 13 days of prolific self development!
2. Had a cool weekend and much love from OH.
3. Was taught a few more reasons why he's so lovely. :heart2:
4. Had a sausagey/veg caserole with roast peppers and toms for dinner last night. Was yum.
5. Got the last project I had to finish at work, finished!
6. Discussing yesterday where Doglet might have her puppies
7. Going to stay with OH's sister for the course which will allow us to get to know each other better.
8. Feel like I've lost an inch or two on my tummy. YES!
9. Spent most of Sunday laying in with OH (never get to do it) and ordered pizza so we barely moved til I decided we should definitely go for a dog walk in the evening sun!
10. Slowly deciding what I want to do for my career... TBC!
:staradmin Have a lovely day :staradmin0 -
Well I got the job at the place I worked when I first left school, doing a type of job I left 10 years ago. So it all seems very strange indeed!!!
I start tomorrow:eek: :j - extremely mixed feelings.
But at least today will be my last visit to the job center building of doom and gloom!!! :T :jworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Delighted for you, newlywed!! :j Hope all goes well.
Just a quick post as I'm off soon to a Small Company Tax Update course  - you can be very sure that will NOT feature as one of my pleasures for today!
My 5 for yesterday:
1. Welcoming back my colleague after her maternity leave - great to see her again.
2. Short day - left work at 2.30pm.
3. Local second hand furniture dealer coming to clear out some of my house. He'll be back to take some more on Thursday. Getting there!
4. My brother popping round in the evening.
5. Managing to get back to setting up my shiny new netbook - have now sorted out the firewall, antivirus etc., sorted out Microsoft Office, etc. Still more to do before I can recycle my old PC.
Have a good day, everyone.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
Well done Newlywed! Hope you enjoy yourself!
I am a little worse for wear today as had an LP yesterday and so taking it easy! But still have a lot to feel good about-
1. The LP revealed high intercranial pressure so that they think is the cause of my headaches and bad vision in one eye.... now to find why I have the pressure! Because of this, I only have a teensy headache, nothing like the one I went in with! So that's a plus!
2. OH kindly put two cakes in the fridge last night but it blocked the fridge from opening so loads of things went funny in the heat  so will need to redo the fridge... still it did really need a clean as there were some leeks that had been in there for about four months  so it's a positive too....
3. I am less poor than I thought I was this month so I can breathe easy when I get my SSP pay!
4. Got my seeds through the postso glad that I can plant! I am doing atlas carrots so no need for deep soil hurrah!
5. The sun is out and I am eating the cake from the fridge- well wouldn't want it to go to waste :rotfl: so all is good in the world!
Going now to curl up in a little ball and try and think of the sea whilst I recover!
Have a good day allFeb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790 -

Hi all
Well done newlywed! I hope this job will make you happy and provide you with what you need!
wssla00, I hope you sort out your health condition and get well soon!
elizabunny (((HUGS))) re. your mum, I know what you mean, mine is still independent thankfully but getting quite old and frail. It is such a sad thing to see our mums decline, isn't it?
Thanks for the good wishes re. interview, to all of you. It was interesting and the people were truly pleasant. I haven't heard yet but I know they are interviewing until 2pm (which is now!). They told me they would let me know very soon as the project officer goes away on holiday tomorrow and they are hoping to finalise this post very quickly. So the wait goes on...will let you know as soon as they contact me.
Meanwhile here are my pleasures for the day:
1 - DH cooked breakfast for me while I was getting ready
2 - I looked really good in my smart clothes, I rarely wear them because there are no occasions for formal wear but when I do I get a lot of pleasure out of looking "corporate", as it is such a change for me!
3 - The interview was pleasant and not too stressful, whatever the outcome, it has been an interesting experience.
4 - After coming back home I joined DH on the allotment and did more clearing.
5 - Tonight we are going to celebrate the twins 21st birthday, I have booked a dim-sum restaurant that does all-you-can-eat for a very reasonable price and has a lot of veggie options YAY!
6 - DH and DS are cooking lunch (pasta and peas soup, the standard "healthy fast food" in our home).
7 - I am very tired because I did not sleep much (thinking of the interview) so I am planning a little siesta before going out this evening.
8 - Oh I had forgotten, I have been accepted for the Good Housekeeping testers panels and they are sending me a night cream to test!
Love to all xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
thanks everyone. Caterina, hope the job interview has the outcome you wish for.
Well, here's a quick list of mine so far:
1. Getting a job
2. Going to sign on at the job center and being able to sign OFF too
3. Starting work in the middle of the month means I don't have to wait a whole month to get any wages
4. The office closes earlier than I thought which means a shorter day
5. I'm getting my hair done today (was already booked) so should have a nice tidy head with all the roots blended back in, ready for meeting everyone I haven't seen in about 10 yearsworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hi
Have been feeling a bit down the last couple of days no reason to but yuo know how it can be sometimes but enough wallowing in self pity for no reason (gives self a kick up the bum)
Newlywed - Congratulations on the job that is really good news. I am really pleased for you
Mine for today:
1. Toasted teacake for breakfast
2. Finding all the bits I wanted for my dads fathers day present. Have made him a little hamper up of all his favourite things that I know he won't buy for himself
3. Popped into Mr.W at lunch time and they had packs of pork mince reduced to 35p per pack. Bought 2 but not sure how I'm going to get it in the freezer as full to bursting. Pork meatballs for dinner tonight
4. DD and OH laughing together this morning even if it was at my expense. Much prefer them to get on as they are so alike they are either plotting something or arguing.
5. booked a hotel for when we go to parents anniversary party for less than half what we originally thought we could plus can walk to parents house from hotel and is next door to a nice pub.
Hugs to all who need them0
