Hi all, bit of a strange day today.

CCP hope you are feeling ok now.

    1. The job where I once worked could be paying considerably more than I expected.
    2. Nipped in just in time as one of the prime people who used to know me is off on holidays this week.
    3. Apparently my reputation precedes me and I am invited in to see them tomorrow :D
    4. It's a job I can walk to (well about 45 minutes walk but still do-able)
    5. I will be able to catch up with a few friends I haven't spoken to for some considerable years
    6. I might be able to cancel the cv review session that's booked for later this week.
    7. There's a possibility I might actually get this job because they know me, remember me and haven't advertised yet.
    8. Going to the garden center and finding a lovely sage plant for £1.79 instead of their usual £4 :D
    9. Buying a small trough to make a herb box with sage, rosemary and oregano (have thyme already in the garden).
    10. Seeing some bees getting very friendly with my campanula plants.

Please just let me get a job, any job, just a job with a wage of more than £65 a week :(

Hi Ginger Snap you must let me know what you thought of the book when you finish it. I am about half way through, my sister said she cried so not sure what 's going to happen??
I used to belong to a book club but gave it up when we moved down here. I always enjoyed the girly gossip and of course talking about the book, nothing to serious. haha
    big hugs
    xx

    Hello everyone,

Another long day in the office. Had a 121 with the boss today, it went well-ish but I didn't feel as if my boss was in a particularly engaged. I told him my work load was too much but his response was that I just have to stop accepting projects... ummm... not so easy to say no to a group of directors when I am a mere minion!

Good luck for tomorrow Newlywed - really hope this one works out for you.

    So mine for today... hmm...

    1) NSD! It's my 7th of the month... so am on course for 15 this month.

    2) Yummy soup for supper tonight - nice and easy.

    3) Chatting with some of the other late birds in the office this evening and fantasizing what we would do if our syndacite won the lottery.

    umm... now I'm struggling...

    4) Oh - a strawberry from the garden... gorgeous!

ahhh... there must be one last one...

    5) Oh yes... my friend C texting me to invite me to another friend's hen night next month. I'll go along even though I don't think the couple should be getting married!

Snoozy time now... am exhausted and need to be up early tomorrow.

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    5 for today!

    1) Had a very easy day with no appointments/jobs that I HAD to do.

    2) Went for lunch with mum and dad.

    3) Got on top of the housework and washing.

    4) Saw a photo on Facebook of the young man my sister might soon be stepping out with :-)

    5) Took the boys to the next village (which has a proper village green with a maypole unlike our little mining village that just has a main road slicing it in half!) We played football and they had a go on the tyre swing hanging from the tree.

    6) Made spaghetti and meatballs for tea, haven't made meatballs for ages and I shall have some for lunch tomorrow with some cous cous.

Finally.... does anyone know anything about Serbia ? My little son has to write a project about it for school (he is 6) - they have all chosen a different country that is taking part in the world cup. Any information would be useful. I'd quite like to get hold of some Serbian coins or something else that he could pass round in class.

Sorry no idea about it at all, but for everything like this, I always start with Wikipedia :
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serbia

I would opt for the food section and make some food to bring in.
