    My 5 for today folks:

    1. After dropping off a bag at the charity shop I found a new indigo linen marks and spencers shirt for £3.50. Perfect for doing the garden as its long sleeved so I won't get as burnt.

    2. Our new window cleaner managed to clean the windows that we, and all other window cleaners, could not reach so they have had their first wash in 3 years and look great. He was a lovely chap too, and was telling me all about his wife who is being induced tomorrow. He was very excited, bless him.

    3. Managed to choose tiles and tiling borders for the bathroom from B&Q and OH helped me get them all home (all 18 boxes of them!) Now we just have to hope that the new tiler actually comes back to fit them as he promised! (we don't have much luck with tradesmen)

    4. Nice tea of Whoopsied pasta bake from Asd@ with broccoli. DS loved it and was happy his sister is on a residential trip so he could eat her portion too!

    5. Earlier today our chickens started making a terrible cackling noise that went on and on. I was worried there was something seriously wrong with them and then I realised they were trying to tell me that their feeder was empty!!!! :)

Have a good evening everyone. :)

Hello all :) hugs to all!

Caterina- congrats! Have a great time there!

Wogglemaker- Hope you are feeling better! I had my pump on today to get used to it but think I might have problems.... kept bashing it on stuff and pulling it...ok when you are trying it.... not good when it's attached to you! Oh well.... roll on Monday!

Ok...sunny weather here! So needed to take it easy! Here are my 5 today!

    1. Steak for dinner :). A very rare treat but saw in Asda and just had to have it!
    2. planting up some more veggies ready for winter
    3. Seeing my garden hard work come to fruition. I can't believe I have green fingers..... I never thought I would, but the little green tomatoes on my plants today showed me otherwise!
    4. Remembering a funny thing today about my brother buying a can of juice in an oriental supermarket because it was called "Sweat" I called him up to remind him he has a can of sweat.... unsurprisingly he hasn't drunk it!!!!!!
    5. Watching the bumble bees play about on my jasmine today. They looked so happy! Oh to be a bumble!

Have a good day all :) It's so nice to see everyone is getting good news.....! It must be because we are so positive, it is radiating out of here into the world :D

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Evening all. Bit of a quick one from me as there's not much of half-time left and I'm enjoying this match. :)

Caterina - congrats on your new job! :T I hope you treally enjoy it.

    My five for today:

    1) Nice and sunny all day, although it was a bit chilly this morning - my teeth were chattering by the time I got into the office, and the car park's only 5 minutes' walk away.

    2) Discussed the company's new sickness policy with colleagues and found everyone agrees with me that it's both ridiculous and insulting. It assumes anyone who takes time off sick is skiving, and wants managers to take disciplinary to action to "resolve the problem". We've got a meeting about it in a couple of weeks and I've been asked to put forward the team's concerns - I just need to make sure I keep my temper. :o

    3) Found a new, good quality hairdryer in Wilkinson's for £11 - considerably less than I was expecting to have to pay. :)

    4) Had coffee and a cake with a colleague this afternoon, although our 'meeting' had to be cut short when I realised I'd left the emergency hotline unattended. (Luckily no-one phoned in the 45 minutes it took me to realise. :o)

    5) Football to watch tonight. :D (Sorry, but I love it! :p)

Have a nice evening, everyone - football free if preferred. ;)
Back after a very long break!

    Evening everyone

Caterina - congratulations on the job

Sparrer - thats so sweet your neighbour's daughter felt she could go to you for a cuddle. On saturday our neighbour came round (her hubby is in hospital recovering from a fall) and ds1 gave her a huge hug when she came in and cheered her up. :D

A quick one from me. Ds2 was up several times last night screaming, and has been ill today although did perk up a bit this evening so hopefully he will be better tomorrow. I am feeling a bit hanging and need an early night I think!

    1. The sun shinning

    2. As ds2 was dozing most of morning in ds1's bed I cleaned the bathroom

    3. I then cleaning the bedroom and put on fresh sheets and sprayed round lavender. Cant wait to go to bed tonight! :D I did change ds2's sheets as well, just got the other 2 beds to do tomorrow.

    4. Listening and watching the birds in the garden. Now I have mowed the lawn they are all out there scratching around and having mudbaths!!

    5. Lots of cuddles with ds2 today even after he seemed better.

    Have a good evening all.

    Evening

    Mine for today:
    1. OH buying me a bottle of pimms as a present for no reason. Enjoying a glass now with lots of ice, stawberries and lemonade.
    2. Posting my dad's fathers day present. It was quite heavy and sticking lots of stamps on (20) because I was too tight to go to the post office and pay the postage. i get free stamps from a survey site. The parcel did look funny with the mass of stamps on
    3. Having an ice lolly in the office this afternoon, it was yummy
    4. Only buying what I needed in Waitrose which was a small piece of fresh ginger - total spend 10p
    5. DD getting a place at college next year to study childcare 1 day a week as part of her options:j:j. She is so excited plus the course is on the campus near to home and not the site that would take her about an hour to get to

Hugs to all who need them
