    Hi all,

Congratulations Caterina. Hope wednesday goes well for you.

    First day is over!!!
Somewhat weird going back to a job you did 10 years ago and meeting a lot of the same people you worked with back then!

But I think it went ok :o I just feel a bit like a fish out of water and it's been a while since I worked so I've got brain ache tonight :rotfl:

Still, tomorrow should be better as I might have slightly more of a clue what I'm meant to be doing :D

    Um pleasures....

    1. Seeing people I haven't seen for 10 years and them all seeming pleased to see me back :o
    2. Help from a few colleagues when I didn't know what I was doing
    3. I managed ok, though rather slow at the job I think.
    4. I'm so tired I'm going to sleep well tonight :D
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

Evening everyone from a slightly tipsey Ladyhawk!

CONGRATULATIONS CATERINA - hope it is everything you were hoping for.

    1) Lie in today as was working from the London office and only had an off peak train ticket... such a pity...

    2) yummy lunch which was relatively cheap - a gorgeous warm half baguette from M&S, pot of hummus and bag of carrots and I was a happy girl!

    3) text from potential suitor... watch this space as we have a date next Tuesday

    4) Drinks with my dear friend L and we are planning on going travelling next year... she was in tears when I said that I wanted to go with her! (in a good way obviously!!)

    5) Found a really nice pub on Marylebone High Street which serves reasonably priced cocktails and seems suitable for my birthday party in September.

    sleep tight.

    L
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

I've combined yesterday's blessings with today's so here goes.
    1) Tickets we had been waiting for the weekend for the Good Food Show have finally arrived, Hooray! It was a bit of a close one.
    2) Another 2 helpings of lovely Broad Beans from our Garden. We eat the young ones pods and all and love them.

    4) Another visit to DM later today, thinking I might take a few garden roses, they won't last long but they smell georgeous. I don't think she always knows I'm there but I'm hoping she will be able to smell the roses.

Evening all. Hope you're all well in all this smiley-happy005.gif

    My five for today:

    1) Wore my new yellow sandals to work today, where they attracted a lot of attention. They only cost me £10, and they're yellow! (My favourite colour. :D)

    2) Had a department meeting this morning where a few miserable souls were complaining about the noise of friendly conversation in the office. One of my colleagues then came back from lunch with a vuvuzela - that'll teach 'em! :rotfl: (Although the rotten spoilsport wouldn't actually let us play with it in the office. :()

    3) Got home to a freebie pack of marinades I'd forgotten I'd applied for. They look lovely, and I've re-written next week's meal plan so I can try one. :)

    4) My blackcurrants are starting to ripen. :j

    5) Nice dinner of chicken and bacon salad tonight - it's my dad's favourite salad* and it always makes me think of him.

    * In that it's the only salad he'll eat - he calls vegetables "guinea pig food". ;)

sparrer - I hope the tests your friend had today had a good result. My thoughts are with him, and with you too.
Back after a very long break!

    Good evening everyone

Thanks for the well wishes of ds2. He is alot better today but thought it best not go to toddler group this morning just in case.

I had a really good day until dh got home and said everyone in the company has been put on 90 day notice. Not that anyone is getting made redundant, they are looking into wages and car allowances etc so looks like dh could lose the car allowance. More to worry about as he has to have a car thats less than 4 years old for work so got one on finance as the car allowance paid for it - something else to worry about!!!!! :(

But anyway, will worry about that if it happens!!!

    1. Popped into netto for milk and spent a small fortune on the whoopsie bit. Got loads of chicken, sausages and cheese.

    2. When I got home I redid my meal plan for the next month and went through EVERYTHING in the freezer. Should have enough meat to last this month and part of next month!!! :j So budget reduced again!!! :j

    3. I have baked chocolate cake and twinks and frozen veg and cheese!

    4. The kids made rocking boat fathers day cards for the grandparents so just need to put some photos on and put in post. They can make dh's cards tomorrow.

    5. Went to family seal (kids starting to fight ALOT by then) and made fajitas. Had 1 at family seal and 2 for tea!!! Ds ate 3 of them in family seal!!!

I can hear screaming so best go and sort kiddies out!!! Have a good evening.
