Hi all from the wet and windy Isle of Wight, it seems that I always get the bad weather on holiday, however luckily I have found a nice free internet service at the local library and here I am!

Unfortunately no time to look at all the posts that I have missed but thought I'd pop in to say hi and post a few pleasures at random:

1 - Holidays with DH, who cares about the rain?

2 - It is raining in London too so I don't have to worry about the kids neglecting to water the garden

3 - Even if not totally "under control" my eating is not entirely OUT OF control!

4 - Only today it was really rainy, we had some reasonable weather, not enough for the beach but enough not to get wet.

5 - Just opened an email inviting me to a job interview on Tuesday!

See you all in a few days time xxx
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Here are my five for the day,
    1. All traffic lights on way to work were green.
    2. Managing to take lunch into work. It is so much nicer than buying lunch at the canteen.
    3. Peaceful dry walk with the dog this morning.
    4. Managing to tie up lose ends at work before having tomorrow off.
    5. Jacket spuds for tea.

Evening all and hugs to all who are not well. here's mine for today - really surprised I managed to make 5.

    1. Went back to bed for a lie after doing nebs, insulin and tablets this morning.
    2. DD finaly washed my car
    3. Christened the new cast iron casserole with a pork hot pot for tea.
    4. Hubby finished off the hot pot 'cause I felt wonky and it was lush.
    5. Spring watch on the telly and a nice quiet evening with my crochet & some music

Evening everyone! Hope you have all had a good day.

Just brief tonight as only just sat down and promised OH I will sit down with him and watch a bit of telly together.

    1. My counselling session was great and really made me see things in a new light. :)

    2. My eye test went well, though lasted an hour and twenty minutes  (optician brilliant though and really wanted to get it right as I have been struggling with my eyesight and last glasses no good). Managed to choose some new frames which i think are gorgeous. Only downside was the cost of everything!!!!!:(

    3. Got lots of little jobs done today, even though I was out a lot too.

    4. Lovely evening walk round the block- enjoyed the smell of pink roses in a garden as I walked past and the woody smell of a newly erected fence.

    5. A yummy tea of eggs from my hens, sausage, chips and beans. Even better that it was cooked by OH :)

    Good evening all

CCP - Firstly, how can you not have made twinks??????? I thought everyone on os made them!!! And yes, thanks to all the tips and receipes i have picked up on these boards my cooking is getting rather good BUT it means all the weight i lost last year is creeping back on!!! Worth it though!!! :rotfl:

Sparrer - if i sit down during the day i will be asleep so have to keep moving!!! :p

I have had a good day today, thought I would struggle as dh was up till gone midnight working so i stayed up with him then I got up to get kids to school. But anyway,

    1. Left for school run on time!! :j

    2. Toddler group this morning. No craft planned so I got the paints out and ds2 decided to paint me instead of the paper!!! And for snack we had pancakes!! yummy!!

    3. The other volunteer at toddler group has had a clear out and has given me 2 huge bags full of wool. I have put most of them away but kept a few fluffy balls of wool out for teddy bears when I get time!! :D

    4. We made fairy cakes in under 5's cooking. And one of the mums brought in 3 different chocolate cakes for us to vote on for a birthday cake she is making! So lots of cakes for us today!!! :T

    5. Italy was the theme in family seal so we made pizza. Kids had them for tea so less for me to do!

    6. My tea was just chucked together out of the fridge/freezer with stuff that needed using up so quite pleased about that!

    7. Inbetween dashing from school to toddler group to school to home to school I managed to clean kitchen and hoover downstairs! (we have mice and even though council came out and put down poison and said they were gone I dont think they are!!!! so hoovering all crumbs and cleaning kitchen HAS to be done at least once a day now usually twice and even 3 times if I have time!!)

    8. From the grabbit board I have managed to get 9 bottles of wine (assuming they get delivered tomorrow) for £21 with £12.50 cashback!!!!!!!!!!! So less than £9 for 9 bottles of wine!!! :T:T :T

Hope everyone has a good evening.

Here are my pleasures for today:

    1. A cup of coffee. I don't usually drink these, so when I had a cup this morning (I honestly was having difficulty concentrating due to tiredness) I was buzzing lots. And giggling.
    2. Pulling the team I wanted to get out of the hat for the World Cup sweepstake in the office. If I'm going to take part in something like this, I wanted to have one of the favourites. And I got the team I wanted :D
    3. Fajitas for tea. I love Mexican food.
    4. Getting a free concealer on the front of a magazine.
    5. I saw lots of rabbits in the countryside on the way home.

So as you can see, not really great pleasures, but they're there nonetheless. There are good days, there are bad day, and then there are indifferent days like today.

    Hi Everyone,

Hope the world is treating you well. I have had a bit of a grumpy day today... grrr... people can be so annoying!

    1) Yummy pasta and HM tomato sauce for supper when I got home :).. only left the office at 8pm :(

    2) Chatted on the phone with my friend L and arranged to have drinks with her tomorrow

    3) Chatted on the phone with my friend G and arranged to see him on Sunday

    4) Arranged with a colleague to go to Thorpe Park on Saturday. Got a 241 voucher from Nectar last week. Not sure how to use it though... do we just turn up at the gate or do we have to book online?

    5) Hearing that an ex-colleague's wife is pregnant and being relieved that we won't have another 9 months of baby details from him like we did last time. He really did overshare!

    6) Hearing that a friend from school had a baby girl this morning called Rebecca Hope.

    7) Deciding that I am going to have a little lie in tomorrow and work from home until 9.30 before heading into London. I did nigh on 12 hours today so I think I deserve it.

Night night... don't let the bed bugs bite.

    L

and an cheeky extra 8th... while taking the rubbish out tonight (a job I hate) I saw a little hedgehog! I have never seen a live one before and I love them! It was very exciting :)

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    2) Mum and dad came round for a cup of tea.

    3) Child psych phoned and is coming to assess smaller son next week. (All the experts are checking for autism now).

    4) The Financial Ombudsman lady phoned about my PPI claim and said it looks hopeful :-D
