    Hello everyone :)

Hope everyone had a lovely time over the bank hol and is enjoying a good day today.

Well done to the new job getters and hello to the new posters!

    1. Hobbycraft was fun :p I got the material for making my Rockabilly costume and some other things that will be fun to play with.
    2. Had a lovely time with OH throughout the wknd, as always :heart2:
    3. My doglet may be having puppies in August as she mated with her fella yesterday. Only took him 5 hours to sort it out! Not something I'd ever want to force a dog to do: she was very happy to stand for him so we just kept an eye on them. So... beautiful little puppies acomin :D
    4. From the end of this week I'll be paying half the monthly amount I normally shell out for my phone as I updated my contract. Woohoo!
    5. Dyed a few things bright pink to update some old clothes. They are sooo pink! Got yellow and black to do also.
    6. Cleaned the inside of my car last week and it's still clean now - result!
    7. Went out for drinkys Sunday eve with a few friends and OH. Was good to see everyone having fun.
    8. Foundations went in for the house build last week and so this week the base will be built. It's really happening :T
9.Got my hair cut Sunday and it's really nice, only a trim and a fringe put in, yet it's quite different and pretty. Also dyed it darker and rec'd a few compliments so I was rather chuffed!
    10. Will be doing some serious tidying today after workies - weird pleasure I know, yet when everything is org'd it looks a lot nicer!

Have a great day all :j

    Hi All,

What a drizzly day :( Only good for watering the plants :)

ACEY - Glad to see you back. Poor cat! We had a cat with no tail who definitely used it to his advantage. Neighbours often knocked at the door asking for their cat back! It seems he was adopted by half the street:rotfl:

    Yesterday

    1. Spent an hour planting veg in veg plot. Looking good :)
    2. Popped into town with DH for cream tea treat. (2 for 1 voucher). Must have been on the same wavelength Caterina
    3. Roast dinner with chicken and ham, lots of veg, yorkshires and sweetcorn pudding........ DS2 wanted hotdogs and spaghetti
    4. Watched Going Postal altogether as a family. Nice change. :A
    5. Managed to stay in bed 'till 6.45am. A pleasure as still getting up about 5am due to combination of body clock and barking dog! (We think she gets lonely or she is scared of the dark!)

    Today

    1. Gave DH lift to work. Pleased I could go home again!:j
    2. Stopped off at S'field to get the half price toilet roll offer with my 50p off coupon. Yay! (I am obsessed with the price of toilet roll:eek:).
    3. Had to pop into Oxfam as I was close by and found some shoes and a colander. (May take the shoes back as DS2 thought they were dorky).
    4. Hair cuts for DS2 and me at the cheap Uni hairdressers. :money:
    5. Lunch of LO sweetcorn pudding and salad. DD sat at the table with me. She usually choses to sit in front of the television. :)

    Hi all,
Here's mine for today so far:

    1. Getting some large pots for £1 each (for when the courgette seeds grow big enough) - much cheaper than the garden center
    2. Discovering I have nearly 3 weeks worth of meals in the freezer - so just veg, milk, loo rolls and biscuits this week :D
    3. Another phone call from a recruitment agency, sounds like they are going to set up and interview for me and might have another role suitable too.
    4. Lots of running about doing jobs and taking phone calls today, so no time to sit and get depressed. Plus I made good use of my daily bus ticket today ;)
    5. Plants are still surviving in the garden (3 tomato plants and 2 basil plants in a grow bag, french bean in a pot, and two pepper plants all outside braving the weather.
    6. OH has more work in the pipeline.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening all.

I've had a very short day today - my cat woke me up this morning at what I felt was an unreasonably early hour for a day off, so I very naughtily went back to bed - and didn't wake up again until quarter to 11!

    So, my pleasures for today:

    1) A very long lie-in. :o

    2) NSD. :)

    3) Defrosted the freezer, so it's all ready for my meat delivery next week. It would have been consierdably easier if my hair-drier hadn't died just as I was about to start blasting the freezer. I haven't got another one, so it looks like I'll have to go shopping tomorrow.

    4) Having a very silly text conversation with my sister - she was at the hospital visiting our grandmother, and was apparently struggling to explain what was so funny!

    5) Last of the rubber chicken for dinner tonight, as spicy, beany burritos. (Well, actually the very last of the chicken - a few scraps - is going to be the cat's supper. ;))

    Have a pleasant evening, everyone.
Back after a very long break!

Thank you everyone for making me feel welcome!

    My 5 for today:

    1. Took my daughter for her haircut this morning and persuaded the kind hairdresser to cut my straggly fringe for free!
    2. Went to Mr T's and found the last few bottles of purple Lenor 25p bargain fabric softener on the shelf. Was SOOOO chuffed- first bargain like this I have managed to get. (I left the yellow bottles for someone else to enjoy as I'm not so keen on that one)
    3. Went to my weekly Slimming World meeting, enjoyed catching up with my new friends there and one of them gave me a bag of fresh herbs.
    4. Having my tea made for me for when i got back from SW by kind OH: yummy chicken with broccoli and new potatoes with mustardy mayonnaise.
    5. Watching a Carry on film with OH tonight and having a great giggle!

    Evening all...

CCP - I'm not jealous one bit of your lie in... nope not a bit... *grumble... not fair... grumble*

All in all a good day. Everyone seemed chirpy in the office and senior manage were conspicuous by their absence (an hense the chirpiness!). I have a new next door neighbour in the office and she seems really nice.

    1) My lovely neighbour popped her head out of her window as I was coming in this evening to let me know that she has added to my tomato collection! So now I have an additional 5 tomato plants to add to the 20 I already have! It was really lovely of her to think of me.

    2) Baking two cakes for one of my favourite colleagues as it was his birthday last week. One will be lemon and the other will be cinnamon.

    3) NSD

    4) My old boss brought her new baby in to visit us. She looked really well and very happy and calm - ie completely different!! Motherhood completely suits her despite the fact that she claimed to not have a maternal bone in her body. It made me a little broody... tick tock!!!

    5) Not having to water my damn tomato plants tonight as the rain is doing such a good job!

    Have a great evening all.

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

A quick 5 for today. I just managed to cut my finger on a bag of rubbish , a tin can lid I think, so I am typing one handed, apologies for typos!

    - Leaking guttering fixed. I can sleep soundly now knowing that we are watertight again.
    - Managed to stick to my diet all day.
    - Tried new recipe for tea, it was very good and healthy.
    - Lots of playtime and cuddles with DD.
    - 5th pleasure was going to be relaxing with my cross stitch. however my bandaged finger has stopped that, so itwill have to be relaxing in front of the tv instead!

Here are my five for today: :)

    1. Cut price blueberries! My favourite snack.
    2. Doing some more work on my cross stitch. Always nice to see it coming together.
    3. Seeing rabbits having a frolic alongside the railway tracks this morning. Aww
    4. A cup of tea.
    5. Planning my baking day! Got loads to do. :)

It's been an OK day today. I didn't spend as much as I had expected when doing the weekly shop, and I prefer the temperature a little lower so it has been nice. :) Hopefully I can get a nice early start tomorrow on the baking and by the end of the morning the place smell lovely. Anyway, I'm getting sleepy so I'll have a bit more of a browse on here and then call it a night. Take care, everyone (((hugs)))
