Savingforoz - please share where you got the software for monitoring your time on line!!! Puuullllllleeeeeeeeeeaaaazzzzzz! I waste far to much time online even though I try to convince myself that it is "research"! :)

Ladyhawk - will PM you, as I'm not sure we're allowed to post links to stuff like that. Check your inbox.

SFO - another request for the software link, I know I spend far too much time online and need to reform my bad habits, maybe knowing exactly how long I've been wasting might help me reform my ways......(probably not, lol!)

    1. Sunny again today
    2. YS rye bread and pizza in L!dl
    3. helping out at Rainbows and having a great time with the little ones
    4. £4 LV0uchers turned up from a survey, yay, just in time as I've got more month than money
    5. Have booked a work in London day soon, complete with free lunch :)
    6. DD went to bed easily tonight, so far she's not come down with a pretend tummy/headache or loneliness or complaining that a teddy has been naughty, so fingers crossed!
    7. $ky+d a Wham programme the other night and am currently reliving my youth :)

Not a very exciting day and little to tell but..
    1. Taxed the car. Not exactly OS although I did save £40 by taxing it for 12 months rather than 6 (and I'm blowed if I'm giving any government  more that I have to)
2.The daffodils are just over so I've cut them down to ground level. I'm hoping they'll multiply next year as they were amazing, they had four or five heads on each stem and although a late blooming variety were in full flower for about 8weeks.:)
    3. Looks like I'm on track to have £40 left over at the end of the month, which will go in the holiday pot :D
    4. Knife and fork salad sandwich for lunch and a prawn salad for tea. The prawns were whoopsied in Mr A, big and fat and very tasty
5 Luther on television. It's a bit too gory in places for me but I get up to make a cuppa or bury my nose in an on-line crossword during those parts :o

    Night night sleepy tight

I didn't get up to much yesterday. I have had terrible trouble with my teeth in the past and one in particular has become very sensitive to hot things, have a feeling I might need root canal treatment on it :( . I have a real fear of dentists, but I think I ought to get it sorted before our holidays...

Anyway, I will try and find 5 pleasures for yesterday:
    - Pay day for DH, we now have the money to get our Euros.
    - DD stood up on her own for the first time! :T Where has my baby gone?!
    - Vegetable Cous Cous with marinated lamb - one of my favourite teas.
    - Free baby and toddler magazine in the post from Sainsburys with lots of recipe ideas in.
    - Put our crisp white cotton summer bedding set on the bed, although I couldn't find 2 matching pillowcases. I hunted high and low, taking everything out of my airing cupboard, until I found them hiding INSIDE the quilt cover! :rotfl:
    Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set
    Debt free thanks to MSE

    Hi All,

Catching 5 mins while DH takes dog for a walk. (Don't think he approves of me spending time idling on here :().

Molly - I try to store bedding sets folded inside one of the pillow cases for exactly that reason! Hope the toothache is better soon.

    Yesterday

    1. Meeting with lovely home tuition teacher. Will miss her now her pupil has moved on.
    2. Lots of YS bargains in MrM again. (4 free range chickens for £9).
    3. DS1 had bad reaction to injection at dentist. Swelling had gone down by the evening. Poor boy :(
    4. Washing has line dried.
    5. 1 pot chicken dinner in the slow cooker.

    Today

    1. Waking up to the smell of cooking chicken.
    2. HM ham in my sandwiches for lunch.
    3. Watering the plants at 6.30am. (In dressing gown). V peaceful.
    4. Whole staff curry celebration for successful OFSTED after school. Jolly company as usual:rotfl:
    5. Looking forward to Orange Wed to see The Prince of Persia.

Hope you have a nice evening. HE x

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    hiya everyone

had a bit of a nightmare day with dd. she screamed because she didnt want muffin for breakfast as she wanted fruit loaf, then screamed when i gave her fruit loaf as she wanted muffin!!! then screamed that she didnt like her trousers, then screamed that she didnt like her shoes, then screamed on the way to school that she didnt have her gloves!!!! not the best start to the day!!!! :p

    but anyway...

1 bacon and egg roll after first school run (had to use up the bacon and roll - honest!!! :D)

2 Cleaned bathroom, even scrubbing the vile bits  as per another thread on here!!!

3 Made more gloop! I love that stuff!

4 Made a chocolate cake - lovely lovely lovely

5 Dd had a pre school development check and everything good, i was surprised that she did everything and spoke rather than just clinging to me like she usually does in situations like that. ds2 joined in and i was told he was too young to do it but managed everything she did so was told no concerns for when he has his as he can do it all now!!! :D

thats it from me. have a good evening everyone.

Evening all. Well, I don't know what it's like elsewhere in the country, but it's decidely chilly in Portsmouth this evening. Hot water bottle for me tonight, I think! smiley-gen125.gif

Molly - I'm sorry to hear about your tooth problems. I suffer from a major phobia of dentists myself, so you really have my sympathy. I hope it gets better soon.

house elf - hope your DS has recovered from his bad dentist experience. <shudder> :o

Carolyntia - hope your interview went well.

ETA - berniesmaster - I'm glad your floor's got fixed, and I'm sorry to hear about your best friend's dad. Good for you for being there for her.

    My five pleasures for today:

    1) A colleague bought HM cake into work. It was actually a bit sweet for my taste, and my colleague said it wasn't the best cake she'd ever made, but hey - it was still cake! :D

    2) I finally got an answer to a question I've been nagging another department about for months. It's not a good answer, as it indicates a major regulatory matter has been overlooked, but at least the department now accepts I had a good reason for nagging them.

    3) I've been looking for a new cardigan for work, and found a nice one in Tesco (of all places) for £14. I then discovered it was part of an offer to buy trousers and a cardi for £15, so I got a pair of trousers for a pound.

    4) I started a new section of my OU course tonight, and it's really interesting - a great relief as the course has been pretty hard going until now. I've just answered a post on the OU student forum from someone else saying how tedious the first week is, so part B of the pleasure is knowing it's not just me! smiley-sleep019.gif

    5) Another dinner from the freezer tonight. I've got next week off work so I'll take the opportunity to defrost my freezer, then refill it thanks to a special offer from my favourite (usually rather expensive) online butcher. (Donald Russell, if you're interested - fantastic quality meat, but the prices can be  unless you get a good offer.)

Have a lovely rest of evening, everyone.
Back after a very long break!
