    Evening

Carolyntia - Good luck with the interview

    Mine for today
    1. DD's washing from camping all done and line dried
    2. Spent the gift vouchers for a lovely local jewellers I was given for my birthday. Bought a silver bracelet with a red enamel strawberry charm. Red is my favourite colour:D
    3. Resisting the tempation to spend more money in the jewellers. I did have to walk out with my eyes closed:rotfl:
    4. Chatting with my mum on the phone and she sounded a lot more settled than she has for the last week, thank goodness. She is visiting my SIL this week who lives on the South Coast and parents live in North East. It is only the second time they have been since my brother died so hence the stress as my mum is still finding it very difficult to come to terms with
    5. Easy dinner of chinese style meatballs with noodles and sweet chilli sauce as all preperation was done so just needed throwing together. As not much to do made some pasta salads up for tomorrows lunches. DD is off sandwiches at the moment so trying to think of different things she can take for packed lunch other than sausage rolls which she would live off every day

Hugs to all who need the,

    *Zoooooooooooooooooms In at high speed*

Apologies for AWOL posting, as usual real life gets inthe way - have been reading though! (this is the point at which I stop myself from replying to everyone!)

    1) Finally made the door for the bottle greenhouse today!

    2) My lettuces, strawberries, carrots and tomatoes have suddenly appeared!
( *cough* so suddenly in fact that erm, someone must have bought them from a shop today *cough* )

    3) Spent ages "tending" to my lovely plants :D Having never grown anything, I am amazed how relaxing it is! (I have radishes, dill, parsley and 2 other things whose tickets have blown away so I dont actually know what they are, but they are growing and I did them from seed!)

    4) took Boo dog for a swim in the Loch again today as the weather was so wonderful. I decided to drag the Kayak thing down to the loch and see if it would take my weight - its been there since we have, and i never trusted it! But it was awesome and I didnt sink!
However, in my wisdom, some time ago, I taught Boo dog to "help" drag the hire boats up the beach by grabbing the ropes and pulling with me.
Result = EVERY boat must be pulled up the beach - SPECIALLY ones with mum in them! - according to boxer dog logic...so whilst I was trying to paddle out, he kept swimming to me, grabbing the rope bit at the front of the kayak, and swimming me back to shore... and dragging me and said plastic kayak thing up the beach... gotta love him :) Wish i had a camera!

    5) The girlies, not to be outdone on pleasure giving front, had a lovely time out scratting in the sunshine, well Paris, in her eagerness to greet me, managed to fly over the fence when I went out to let them out (better than last time when she spent 2 mins trying to stabalise herself having landed on top of it...) The shock on her face like "huh, what happened? How did I get here????" and 13 other girls suddenly very indignant, making a right racket the other side of the fence, wanting to know how come she was out and they weren't! Perhaps they were out a little too long today though as one started nesting lol.

    *zoooooooooooms out*

    Morning All,

    No sun :(

Carolyntia good luck for your interview
    Welcome Maxjessdru

Not the best day yesterday, schoolwise..............hope today is better.

    1. Lovely sunshine, but the heat in my classroom gave me a headache.
    2. Took DS1 to the dentist. Our dentist is lovely ;) (Yes I know I'm prob old enough to be his mother, but a girl can look!). :rotfl:
    3. Lovely home cooked ham, (Nigellas 'coke' recipe), with mash and carrots for tea. Bought 4 YS shanks for 39p each and only used two for tea, so lots left for sandwiches!
    4. Watering the veg patch in the quiet.
    5. Dog walk with DH round lake.
    6. Bed at 9.30pm as headache threatening to return, and if overtired I tend to get things out of proportion, so early night was prob a pleasure for everyone!:o

Off to the school gardening project today, so rather glad it looks like the day will be a bit cooler. Taking my Cath Kidston wellies:)

Have a lovely day. HE x

Hiya, jexygirl, good to see you back!

    My 5 for yesterday:

    1. Ordering my shiny net netbook and accessories from Amazon! Thank you, kind boss!

    2. Finishing work early as I was at a client close to home, so I worked my lunch hour and was home by 2pm. (I finish early on a Monday anyway).

    3. Not being in the office all day but out at a client's premises.

    4. Yummy savoury rice for tea. Not too heavy for this hot weather, but still tasty and filling.

    5. Thanks to my boss offering to pay for my netbook, I was able to transfer the money that I had earmarked for it to my savings account. More for the travel fund! Plus I can treat myself to MS Office 2010, which I've been hankering after and I just haven't been able to persuade myself that I could make do with Open Office, which is free. I have a weakness for pretty software and techy gadgets but with my MSE head on, I don't often indulge that weakness!

Just round the corner from Southwark is a little street called Joan St. Its pedestrianised so kids can run about and there is an Ev, a Thai Silk and another which I cant remember. All of them are lovely and its a little oasis in the middle of all the bustle.
Cogito ergo sum. Google it you lazy sod !!
