Winchelsea they remakedand remodelled our M&S. Now it's like shopping under floodlights and all space and no stock. They took a lot of the stock and displays out to make room and now you can't buy anything you want to. I have heard that the only people who like the new store are the ones who drive those car things in them.It seems to have been downgraded and it has lead to my shopping there a lot less as they no longer stock much choice in clothing and while you can now buy Jack Daniels and Wheatabix and other things you can get in Tesco, a lot of the M&S things I used to buy in the food section are no longer sold.

    Morning all

Thank you for all your kind comments....it's nice to know that people on here really care :D

newlywed - keep going girl...at least you're getting interviews...you will get a job...with your determination it will happen
nuttybabe - so sorry to hear your BiL has put a big dent in your alcohol stash
winchelsea - sorry to hear about your DH...hopefully you'll get the help you need. Your granny sprint made me laugh though :rotfl:
house elf - that pipeline is bigger than you think and there's quite a few things in it ;)
sparrer - sounds like you've been having fun painting the beach hut
savingforoz - at least you had a good gym work out to counteract the huge falafel :)
niksyg - sounds like Bodie learnt a valuable lesson about food. I'm glad to hear he's feeling much better
knithryn - how lovely of you to go to the effort of getting your neighbour a better and cheaper gardener

    Here are my latest ones:

    1) Getting my club card vouchers - had a good shop in Mr T's last night and stocked up the freezer and added a few more items to the under the bed stash
    2) Getting two loads of washing dried out on the line
    3) Getting some tidying up done - didn't over do it so a little bit left to do today
    4) Long chat with the 10 year ex on the phone - he was very impressed with my bargain hunting in Mr T's and is up for a charity shop trawl in Norwich next weekend ;)
    5) Brilliant weather
    6) Some fantastically cheap wine that tasted great
    7) Getting the bedsheets washed and out on the line this morning

Right I'm off to scrub the bathroom. Hope you all have a great day.

Sorry it's been a while - things have been busy but here goes:

    1) Drying some clothes outside, and it barely taking more than an hour! OK, so the clothes horse fell over, but it was worth it as the clothes smelt lovely.
    2) Having a busy day in the garden yesterday. I did some weeding and pulled the encroaching grass from the borders.
    3) Sitting in the garden sewing.
    4) Making a "spend £1 a day" challenge for myself and kinda sticking to it :)
    5) Re-reading cookbooks I've got, and finding a couple of recipes for things I can bake while the oven is in use.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

    Hello Everyone,

Again... Wow... what a stunning day.

    1) The gorgeous weather... it makes everyone so much more cheerful

    2) Taking a little bag of stuff to the charity shop

    3) Then popping into Wilkos and picking up a white currant bush for £2, and a chili plant and pepper plant for 50 each and sweet peas for 74p (all half price)

    4) Went to the local garden centre and buying two strawberry plants, and a blueberry bush.

    5) Then going to H*omeb*se to buy some pots for my new plants and ended up with 12 tomato plants for £3, and 6 strawberry plants.

    6) Got into the garden and weeded a patch to plant the seedlings in... not sure where I am going to fit everything in though! Most of the tomatoes are unplanted still... and the white currant has moved into my bath...

    7) Washed my lights and they have dried in the sun.

    8) Hopefully have found a home for a stash of shampoo samples that I have been hording - I have to use medicated shampoo for psoriasis so they were of no use to me.

    9) Will be baking some scones this evening and roasting some veg

    10) fresh bedding and shaved legs... bliss

All I have to do is get rid of my headache now.... grrr...

    Enjoy your evenings.

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Afternoon all. Hope you've all had a lovely weekend in all this sunshine.

I'll try and keep this short as I've got three days of pleasures to catch up on:

    Friday:
    1) It's Friday! :j
    2) And a lovely sunny Friday at that. smiley-happy005.gif
    3) Met my sister after work...
    4) ... and went to the local theatre to see a production of her favourite musical...
    5) ... then popped into a neighbouring pub for a drink afterwards, where it was warm enough to sit out in the garden at 10 at night. I love summer!

    Saturday:
    1) Another lovely day. smiley-happy005.gif
    2) My freebie French beans have sprouted.
    3) Lazy saunter along the seafront in the sunshine with my sister.
    4) Persuading my sister (who's usually of the "don't make a fuss" school) to complain when we had to wait for over an hour for our meals at lunchtime, and they were inedible when they did turn up (my fish and chips were both overcooked and stone cold, while my sister's Indian snacks had been incinerated so her knife bounced when she tried to cut into the onion bhajis ). By this time it was so late that we couldn't wait for replacement meals as my sister had to drive home, so the nice waiter refunded our money, including what we'd paid for the drinks we'd already drunk. What a star!
    5) Finally getting my fish and chips for dinner, from the excellent local chippy. Nom nom nom!

    Sunday:
    1) Sunny yet again. :)smiley-happy005.gif
    2) Got a load of gardening done, including potting on my tomatoes and peppers which have finally decided to grow, after nearly two months' wait.
    3) Re-found some rare breed sweet pea seeds which I'd forgotten I'd kept from last year's plants. I'll have to get them in tomorrow and see if they grow.
    4) The portion of chips from last night was so huge that I can have the other half of them with my salad tonight.
    5) Might treat myself to a glass of wine to go with dinner. The bottle's open in the fridge and needs drinking before it goes off, and I've got to be at work horribly early tomorrow so I must make sure I get a good night's sleep. ;)

Hugs to everyone who's having a difficult time at the moment. smiley-hug002.gif
Back after a very long break!

newlywed as Carolyntia says, keep applying for those jobs
nuttybabe what a liberty! I agree with sparrer's excellent suggestion, do ask them for wine vouchers for birthday and Xmas (and buy some really, really cheap stuff for next time they visit)

    Welcome Thrilla
Winchelsea hope things are calmer for you and your dh now, and you have time for some 'me' time

    My five for today:
    1) lie-in as dd slept in today
    2) cuddles from dd this morning, :wave:to everyone from dd
    3) dd finishing her homework today
    4) second lot of spring onions have sprouted, sowed third set for succession today
    5) glorious sunshine!

    Hi all,

    Here's mine:

    1. Sunshine
    2. Getting all the washing dry nice and quickly
    3. OH made holes in my plastic trough planter so I have now planted out all my salad plants - giving me more room on the kitchen windowsill to plant some more seeds :D
    4. I think two pepper seeds have finally sprouted :D
    5. My rose has loads of buds on - roses always make me happy
    6. My "alan fradd" has lots of buds - it'll be the first year it's flowered so looking forward to it http://www.shootgardening.co.uk/plant/cistus-alan-fradd
    7. There's a local secretarial job going where they want an immediate start and I can do that so might be a bit higher up their list.
    8. I have my OH, friends, family and a full belly :D
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

    hiya everyone

well, after yesterday i went to bed in a really bad mood. made worse by the fact that my neice spilt a cup of milk on the carpet and my sister did nothing to clear it up. i waited for 10 mins and then cleared it up myself! all i do when they are here is clean up after them!!! cups, glasses and plates everywhere and they use a clean glass for every drink even if they are having the same thing so why not refill the glass they just used!!! But i did send bil out this morning to get a case of beer that we all drank today when we attempted to have a bbq so that made me feel better! and been invited over there next weekend so i will drink his nice wine!!!! :rotfl:

    so mine for today

    1 a lie in :j

    2 Bacon roll for breakfast

3 A bbq before the rain started and another one after the rain stopped to use up all the food

4 My gloop - i did a white wash and ds1's school shirts were filthy, covered in mud and tomato sauce and bolognaise sauce. I have never known such a messy eater!! anyway, i did think my gloop would struggle with this lot but it brought it all back to white!! :T

5 Gave my sister 2 huge sacks of clothes. baby clothes and stuff i have slimmed out of so got more space in my dinning room.

and 6 sold the sock zebra so can replace the wine for the caravan!! :D

gonna have a nice relaxing evening and an early night i think.

    Good Evening Peeps,

Knithryn - I wish I was your neighbour. Listening to harp music in the garden sounds idyllic.

So much easier to find pleasures on a sunny day!:)

    1. Sunshine
    2. Spending most of the day gardening
    3. DS2 had two little friends over to play. They seem to have had a fun time.
    4. Hair dye, plucked eyebrows, glycolic peel. Feel almost human!;)
    5. Looking forward to HM curry with samosas from yesterdays car boot, and wonderfully fresh naan £1 for 4 from the Kurdish shop at the bottom of the road. Another reason why I like living in such a multicultural city :D.

    Last week before half term:j

Have a lovely day tomorrow. HE x

Knithryn, I bet it was lovely playing your harp in the garden, such a beautiful instrument, wish I was one of your neighbours :)

Hello everyone, what a lovely weekend, here's hoping the weatherpeople are wrong and this lasts for a long time.

    Today's blessings...

    1. The sun :)

    2. Surprised DD with a trip to the pool this morning using our swimming passes, and we were very happy when we discovered the outside loop bit was open. Who needs Spain when you've got our local pool :)

    3. Went to a car boot sale to buy some tomato plants and ended up with plants and 2 good books and a lovely skirt for me and...

    4. DD chose a cute little dress for our neighbour's baby :)

    5. DD's best friend came over to play in the world's tiniest paddling pool this afternoon, they had such a fab time in the sun
