    Good evening everyone

    Mine for today

1 Dh had a conference call today about 'restructuring'. This always means redundancies!!!!!! :( Thankfully dh's region is staying the same!! :j

    2 Cinnamon swirl for breakfast

3 Left for school run on time

4 Sunny day so kids played in garden with little rabbit foo foo whilst i cleaned out his cage

5 As dh working from home today I couldnt do todays flylady tasks so I cleaned the bathroom and our bedroom and changed the sheets.

6 My homemade butter on an oven cooked jacket potato for tea

7 As we are celebrating dh not being put at risk I popped over the road for a bottle of wine. I haggled 50p off the wine and 10p off a flake!!! :T

Off to eat my flake now and might even have a glass of wine! :D

I have a spare 5 minutes, so here are my 7 pleasures for today:

    - Waking up to glorious sunshine this morning.
    - Putting up our new parasol and putting the cushions on the patio chairs, we bought them weeks ago and this is the first chance we have had to use them.
    - Taking DD into the garden to eat our lunch 'alfresco'. She thought it was great fun watching the dog running around whilst eating!
    - I was emailed some pictures of friends piglets and chickens, they are so cute!
    - Having a very productive day, getting lots of housework done including getting my washing dried outside.
    - Having one of my favourite meals for tea - Vegetable cous cous with herby YS lamb steaks.
    - Relaxing with a hot chocolate, knowing that I have done everything that needs to be done until tomorrow.

    Evening all.

I'm feeling a bit down again today, I'm afraid - I've been suffering from stomach pains which I've reluctantly decided I have to go to my GP about, I'm struggling with my new Open University course already and, just to make my evening, the cat wee'd all over the kitchen floor.

Pleasure one is therefore my nice new pair of cat fur mittens for next winter. (I'm kidding, of course! ;))

    1) Spotting a baby robin in my garden this morning.

    2) I couldn't get the M&S £10 meal deal I had planned on buying for dinner as my local store had sold out of almost everything in the offer, but I did get some nice sausages which were on special offer instead.

    3) Did my first ever post to the competitions board. I was a bit worried that I'd make a mess of it, not being very familiar with that board, but a couple of nice regulars stepped in to help me get it right. :T

    4) My spring onions have sprouted. :)

    5) A lovely welcome home from my puddy tat (before he blotted his copybook by missing the litter tray, that is :().

    6) Cheesy sausage wraps for tea. Very naughty and fattening, but rather tasty. :D

    Have a nice evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

Evening all :) Still no sign of Ollie :( I think someone brave should start a "where's Ollie" thread as someone may know her if she went to meets or whatever, just so we know she is ok.
Good to keep up with peoples ups and downs, even when I dont have time to post properly, its nice to read about everyones day :)

    five here for today....

    1) Did lots of accidental baking! Started off needing to make some goats cheese tarts, decided to use the roast pork leftovers for a pork and apple pie as staff meal. Turned out I had alot of filling and stupidly did the pie first... resulting in too much filling, not enough pastry, and no tarts! Ended up making a 2nd batch of pastry, finished the pies, started the tarts, to find I only had enough goats cheese for 4 tarts (grumble grumble) so ended up doing those and making 2 quiches for staff meals lol (least I have a few staff meals ready made!)

    2) a recipe book came through the post, apparently I won a competition of some sort recently and some pastry... not sure if this is the case of pie things I got 2 months ago thinking they were a sample, or whether I will get another delivery lol! But the recipe book was nice.

    3) Cleaned the girls out today, and its been a lovely day, so they were very happy girls, and I still cant believe some of the truly dilly things they do! They go into the pen when the gate is open, to check if I filled the feed tray, and then get confused and cant find the way back out... and I am just as daft as I then guide them to the gate that they come to and go in and out of EVERY day! Eddie and Maggie are getting a bit too brave though, I have visions of them ordering a pint at the bar soon, they venture so close to the Inn! Its better than me having to chase them down from halfway up the hill path I guess!

    4) It was so warm, I spent 45 mins with boo dog swimming in the loch after stickies :D and playing on our beach! I decided that was better excercise in warm weather, and it was so much fun! He loves swimming, and I love playing with him, without killing myself climbing up bloomin hills - its win win!

    5) I made Irn Bru icecream!!!!! Why did I not think of this before!!! Well I kind of made it, its in the freezer and I stirred it a few times, will let you know if it sets! (For those who dont know, i am addicted to diet irn bru, I do 18 x 2 litre bottles a week (no thats not a typo!) I made the plastic bottle greenhouse within a couple of months!) It was hot today and I had the genious idea of irn bru ice cream! There was no recipe available tho, so I kind of made it up, will see tomorrow if it sets! There are people who sell it, so it must be possible, but my usual never fail icecream recipe wouldnt have worked as it uses whatever solid ingredients I have, not tried with pure liquid! Watch this space!

Hi all (bit late in the day!)

1 NSD due to working from home.
2 Two wash loads line dried (I just love the smell!)
3 Picked a whole load of spinach for tea (planted last year and has put in a 2nd appearance).
4 Planted up two pots to brighten up the patio.
5 Planted some veg seeds in the hope they actually do something - maybe now its a bit warmer they will!
6 Have just done an online food order and because for once I've worked out some meals and looked in the cupboards I've come in under my weekly budget.

    Sleep tight all xx

    5 for Tuesday

    1. The delivery people have notified me that the beach hut is arriving on Friday :D. I just have to paint it and get the nice man to put it together, then transfer the essentials from the rickety old shed, take the rubbish to the tip and put the old shed on freecycle (someone might be handy enough to rebuild it properly for an allotment or something) and eventually the garden will look like one, instead of a shanty town

    2. Planted some sunny yellow and white marigolds in troughs and a tub for the patio (grand name for a few odds and ends of slabs of varying shapes and mishaps :D)

    3. Discovered that Walls low fat ice cream is far nicer than ordinary, in fact quite morish

4.Had the last of the asparagus with a mini roast pork dinner. The roasted red onion was delish, very sweet and light, and the 2 garlic cloves were enormous. It's just as well I live on my own :o

    5. A nsd...but I have found some shelving for the beach hut on Ebay which I might order tomorrow, when I've checked the measurements ;)

    Night night, sleepy tight
