A brief five before I start the day.
Still poorly. Must have a virus. Stayed home yesterday and seemed to sleep for most of it, so haven't caught up with reading everyones posts. So five recent pleasures.......
1. The House Martins are back. (Not the lovely group from Sheffield). They nest every year in next doors roof. I thought they would be put off by the renovations last summer, but they have returned!
2. Finale of the Dance Festival. DS2 finally agreed to me joining in the routine. I danced like a mummy, cos he only let me go to one dance class, and I wasn't v well, but it was fun!
3. Saw a Jay when I took the dog for a walk while DD was at swim training.
4. Beans, garlic and peas planted. Potato shoots peeping through.
5. Rescued some IKEA ornamental willow that someone had out out for the green collection. Will be ideal for making wigwam for beans and peas.
Have a lovely day. HE x0 -
Morning all,
A bright sunny morning here.
1. Waking up early, think I am finally settling into a routine.
2. Cobbling together a chinesey style meal last night. Ginger and spring onion chicken, with noodles and egg fried rice.
3. Seeing some more freecycle bits collected.
4. Filling the car with stuff which is decluttered from the home, so off to charity shop and friends.
5. A good morning hug from the dog.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!" Less things. Less stuff. More life.Fab thread: Long daily walks

1. The House Martins are back.
I got all excited... until I read a little further that you were referring to birds... (even though it's nice to have your birds back!)

Morning all,
Here are my peasures for yesterday:
- After we got back from my medical appointment, I took DD out for a walk up the high street. Bought a few bits in the butchers, their meat is fantastic quality (I am very fussy when it comes to processed meats like sausages) and reasonably cheap too - I got 6 x chipolatas, 2 x huge beef burgers and 4 x thick rashers of dry cure bacon for £4.60 :money:.
- Got most of the washing done and dried on the washing line.
- Yummy Roast for tea - YS free range chicken, pigs in blankets, Roast potatoes, veg and HM stuffing made with my new herb plants.
- Found out that a friend of my inlaws had her baby, a healthy little boy, :j .
- Enjoying the sunshine.Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

My five for yesterday, had a bit of a grumpy day yesterday hoping today is better:
1) breakfast in bed courtesy dp
2) cuddles from dd
3) sunshine at lunchtime
4) going to Boots to buy foundation and the sales assistant pointed out I could use two vouchers and save £9 giving me a £13.50 foundation for £4.50!
5) getting another Boots bargain, free nail varnish with two bottles of diet coke"We have to be kind because everyone is fighting a great, great battle" - Sir Richard Attenborough

Hello Ladies,
Hope you have enjoyed your day. Not sure if I'll be able to come up with 5 today... I haven't had a bad day, its more that nothing much has happened.
1) Presented a training session at work... and people actually seemed interested and I managed to take the occassional breath! (I normally talk really, really fast):o
2) Received £5 for doing some consumer insight work... not that I remember doing it so it was a nice surprise!
3) Took my car to be cleaned of all the bird poo that was disguising it! Though on my drive back my windscreen got splattered by suicidal bugs:mad:
4) Working from home. I had a lovely long sleep last night from about 7pm right through to 6am. So it was nice to get up gently and not have to get up and rush around.
5) the lovely sunny weather... it truly was a pleasure. Long may it last.
Enjoy your evening

Savingforoz his fees are quite high but you are welcome to borrow him any time
Sparrer -well done on getting on pulmonary rehab - I had to give up 2/3 way through due to mum passing away and a long stay in Brum, and am now waiting to get on another to pick up the bits I missed (Really need to get back on track with the exercise, but keep getting flair ups). Finding a range of meditaion/relaxing music and re discovering a relaxation tecnique learned years ago really helps a lot
Been feeling very rough today so lets see how many pleasures I can come up with.
1 Lovely sunny day
2 OH did 2 lots of washing and it all got dried on the line
3 Managed to sort the washin and there's not too much ironing for tommorow.
4 DD weeded the 2 borders of the front garden path and swept the path (and did a very good job to).
5 DD finished weeding the back garden slope (we just need to get the forget-me-nots in the second compost bin (which is also growing taters).
6. made a use-it-up pasta sauce to go with some tortalini (sp) it was so full of flavour you didn't need 1/3rd of what I made
Huggs and waves all round
