    Hello Peeps!

What a busy bunch you have been whille I have been poorly! I have had a migraine for 3 days, so haven't felt like looking at the computer. Just caught up now.

    Recent pleasures

    1. The wonderful Sharon at work who gave me migraine tablets on Wed morning that got me through the day :A
    2. DS2 who is making his hamster sit on my head as I type!:rotfl:
    3. Visit to DD's college to see Vice Principle. He has agreed to let her drop 4th Alevel early as she is not doing well, and not getting on well with the teacher. Shame he would not agree to change tutor groups as she has the same woman as personal tutor  Feel I could have made a better case if not strung out on Migraine tabs!:p
    5. The relief of knowing I have sent all the paperwork off to the exam board tonight. Hope it is right.:(

Niksyg - Hope OH's tour of duty is not for a long time. I really feel for you.

Hope the weekend cheers us all up and makes the poorlies feel better. Love and hugs to all. HE x

Thanks house elf he won't be going for a while yet, and yes you're right shadowsfall, having a man in uniform is definitely a 'pro' of the job (but the dirty kit clogging up the washing machine isn't!)

Right - my five for today...

1)Had a really productive morning, got lots of little odds and sods done at work.

    2) lunch of last night's left over pasta and salad.

    3) Remembering halfway through the day that it's Friday so end of the week!

    4) Lovely tea of freezer fish n chips - mmmm chip sarnie!

    5) OH is washing up as I sit here with the most gorgeous golden sunlight flooding in through the lounge window.

    Evening all

Kids in bed at last! So mine for today

1 Leaving for school run almost on time!! :p

2 Popped into netto and got some whoopsie chicken thighs for £1. Got home and put in slow cooker and now have enough chicken for tomorrows tea of chicken in hm bbq sauce AND filled 6 whoopsie rolls with chicken for ds1 lunches and froze them. Quite good for £1 I think!! :D

3 Craft this afternoon. It was only me with dd and ds2 that turned up! So had a good natter with the teacher over a cup of tea whilst dd did dot to dot and ds2 played. And was given the 3 left over huge rolls from yesterdays cooking and they are really nice. :j

4 Made 2 fruit loafs to almost the receipe (had to substitute stuff) and they smell lovely! Cant wait for breakfast tomorrow!! :D

5 FAKEOUT NIGHT!!!!!!!!! :j Although we didnt get to watch a film as I took the kids out and got back a bit late so will watch one tomorrow night instead.

Off to crochet a skirt for a sock monkey now.

    3. We all pitched in to make dinner, so thumbs up all round. Nothing particularly glamorous or sophisticated but nice to be here.

    4. Did a P!necone survey so will have £4 vouchers coming my way soon, yippee! Am determined to get to the end of the month more solvent this month!

Errrm, that's it really, nothing exciting has happened today, but lots of pleasure in DD starting to get better :)

A good evening to all, I hope you all have a lovely weekend those who work especialy (wish I was well enough to - but it does have some benefits).

Lets see if I can make five today.

    1. It looks like DS had got the notebook working
    2. Spring onions showing through.
    3. Last day on 30mg steroids (just as well 'cause the jitters set in last night and I could not settle). It's just a pity the flair up has not died down enough for my liking.
    4. I still feel rough & Hubby not not bright so posponed going up to see dad - but the builder phoned tonight to say he would start re-doing the patio in the morning.
    5. had a quiet day with just a bit of ironing and another 1 & 1/2 skiens of wool rolled in usable balls
    6. Reasonably healthy tea tonight lovely butchers sausage, toms, beans, mushrooms and a lovely hm leek & bacon bubble & squeek.

    Good evening all,

    Todays pleasures:

    - Up and out first thing this morning - went to shops and got just a few essentials (bread, toiletries and birthday cards and managed to spend less than £6). Also went to the library to return one and take out another book.
    - Bumped into a neighbour who I don't see very often and had a right natter, mostly about another neighbour who is a [STRIKE]nosey and rude old woman[/STRIKE] bit of a pain :D, so we were sharing stories of our run ins with her. I thought the old lady just didn't like me much, but it seems she is rude to everybody else in the street too.
    - The sun shone for a little while.
    - I had leftover pasta bake for lunch which was yummy, but it filled me up and I didn't want much for tea, so only had a snack (saving money AND calories!).
    - DH getting home from work early.

Have a great weekend everyone. :)

OMG, do you live near me!!!!!!!!! My neighbour is just like that! She has never spoken to me in the 3 years we have lived here and wont speak to her other neighbour because when WE paid to replace HER fence (got fed up with her dogs using our garden as a toilet and barking at me when I went into my own garden), she complained to them that we asked her for half and they said she should have paid the full amount!!! :D
