    Evening OS peeps

First of all I want to send a big hug to all the poorly people (HUGS).
And a big thank you for all my lovely birthday messages, this is such a friendly place here.

Here are my pleasures for today:

    - A trip to Gloucester Quays today. We didn't do much shopping, but did visit the waterways museum that had loads of interactive exhibits and was very interesting. Although I was not impressed with all the roadworks going on in Gloucester, they had closed the pedestrian access to most of the bits we wanted to go and closed half the car park and roads off. I am going to write a letter to the council as there was no diversions or explanation of how to get to the town centre from the Quays. Within 5 minutes of arriving 2 other cars stopped us to ask how to get to the shops as they were going round in circles as well!
    - Treated myself to some small yankee candles with some birthday money.
    - Received some handmade presents from my sister - a necklace and earings and a 1950's inspired Apron that she handstitched herself - it is really beautiful, she really is a talented girl.
    - Seeing my doggy again after her holiday with my parents - she was very pleased to see us (although worn out from all her walks, as she is crashed out in her basket now!)
    - Being happy :)

Evening everyone, ((((HUGS)))) to everyone who needs them

Sparrer, yes DS is extremely inquisitive at the moment. He can't crawl but can crawl for the Olympics and can now shuffle backwards. DH has a Honda Hornet and I haven't actually been on it yet, he got it when I was pregnant. I'm so looking forward to going on the bike to see the Hairy Bikers on 28th May at the Lowry especially as I now have my black & pink leathers.

Here are my 5 os pleasures for today. :j

    1. Got a half price haircut this afternoon as I had a dry cut and it was only 10 pounds.
    2. Found some nice cake decorations for future step-mums 50th birthday cake at our local market and only spent 1.70.
    3. Didn't use the bus to get from town to the hairdressers. I would have normally done that as it's only a mile but it's one heck of a hill especially with a pushchair so saved myself 1.30 bus fare.
    4. DH is going rifle shooting tonight so I get a quiet bedtime with DS and then an hour on my own with the tv remote.
    5. Bumped into MIL whilst in town and was told her hairdresser will be over in a couple of weeks to cut DS's hair for the first time.

Hi all, hope everyone is ok. Seem to be so busy just now so not keeping up with all the news sorry.

    1. Going to the interview today. Think it went ok and should hear soon if I'm invited to second interviews. It's actually a job I really want to do (unlike the other ones I was interviewed for)

    2. When I got home (via Aldi) got a phone call about another job with possible interview next week

    3. Buying my mum some flowers in Morrisons and a pack of biscuits she liked (cheap and cheerful).

    4. Phone call from cousin and chatting to her young kids on the phone and them making me laugh.

    5. I managed to fit the bag of rustic chips I really fancied into my freezer - no easy task I can promise you!!

Mollythewestie, I live in Gloucester, the roadworks round that area are still a mega job in progress and a pain in the butt if you live here, heaven only knows for visitors. Eventualy there will be a tram style link between the Quays and city centre but we are not holding our breath.

Thanks people for the good wishes re lungs. my five for today are a bit brighter.

    1. Steroids have kicked in so feel brighter,

    2. managed to go to Morrisons this pm.

    3. lots of lovely whoppsies. kippers in freezer for me. smoked cod loin for DD & me, mushrooms for breckie in morning on toast - the roulade to go with them was half price offer. chicken drumsticks better than half price - now coated in chineese marinade - cooked and cooling down for the freezer
    4. Lemon marmade whoopsied for dad (he loves marmalade) and the sugar to go with it was on offer (2 x 1kg bags were cheaper than 1 x 2kg). will make tommorrow

5 Sorted out the chook from Sunday roast (large better than half price large organic) it did Sunday diner for 2, 2 x cheesed off chicken - freeze 1, 1 for ds dinner, 4 portions of chicken curry, 1 portion corination chicken (my dinner tommorrow) and 2L of stock. Am most impressed.

6 hubby helped with the curry as I was wheezing and spluttering.

7 bootsie kittens tea was being sorted by hubby, boots got a bit over enthusiastic with her cuboard love and bouncing, her head hit hubby right in the whatsits ( I'm still grinning).

    Evening Everyone,

Just got in from work :( Though I did pop out for an hour this evening to take part in the team night out... ten pin bowling which was fun!... but then sadly as everyone headed out for dinner, I headed back into the office.

    1) Only spent £3.15 on the bowling... so much for my NSW... but that was always going to be the downfall. And now I have to go to see a supplier tomorrow, who is virtually next door to Bicester Village there is no point in my trying to be good!! :D

    2) Bowling was good and I didn't shame myself. Infact I got a rather respectible 95. Wll it was respectible for me at least.

    3) VERY large salad for lunch with roasted veggies and smoked mackeral. Not sure how I managed to eat it all.

    4) Got loads done at work and my emails are back to being fairly managable... though I am now out of the office until next Wednesday so needless to say that they will soon pile up again.

    5) Ice lolly samples at work today... I'm always game for an ice lolly!

Sweet dreams everyone and wish me luck... I am going in a helicopter tomorrow for the first time!

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    1. Thanks for the best wishes for DD, she was bouncing around like Tigger this morning so did go to school, but was very tired and a bit hot again by 6pm, so going to keep an eye on her.

    2. My lovely daddy did come down at the crack of dawn to look after her to find her happy and cuddly and me squealing in pain......distinct lack of sympathy for me though, so I dragged myself into work and took lots of painkillers and floated my way through.

    3. I won a bottle of wine at work, slurp, slurp!

    4. Dd looked after me very well this morning, she has healing hands

    5. Had a low spend day after having to leave shopping in Mr T's as the queues were so long. I know it's naughty but I couldn't stay and wait as I would have been late picking DD up.....on the other hand, once I left the supermarket, i realised that actually I CAN live without about 80% of what was in the trolley! Note to self: don't go shopping when spaced out on painkillers!

    yellow!
Not going to attempt replies this evening, too tired and sore (see below!)

    1) went to help Gosia at her new "hoose" and managed to get all the floors done with 4 coats of wax and that oh so lovely buffer! Each coat applied by hand with sponge, then buffer, repeat x 4 in each room and hallway. I have muscles that I didnt know I had, but they are letting me know today - how on earth can my bum cheeks ache!!!!!

    2) Was lovely to read that the pic brightened some days :) Will post again when i get them to stand still!

    3) Cleaned the girls out today, despite my aches and pains! They had a lovely scrat around and made me giggle alot with their antics, especially the avoidance one when its time to go back in!

    4) made a cullen skink (its a traditional scottish fish chowder soup normally) quiche today. Been meaning to try it for ages, and was making quiche for staff lunch, so decided to give it a go. Was really pleased with the result, however, it meant the staff quiche was somewhat lacking in the pastry quality, since it was the offcuts ! It was still yum with some nice salad and hm colslaw - would be healthy, if i didnt have 2 huge slices of HM bread lathered in butter, and a massive dollop of mayo with it! Its the thought that counts, and I thought about it being healthy!
    5) got a lovely bag of doggy treats in the post today - a freebie off the freebies board - buster loves them, I am a great and popular mommy !!! gotta love MSE :)
