    Evening all...

Hope you are all doing well.

    So for today... let's see...

    1) NSD. I'm hoping to have a NSW at work this week... it should be achievable if the boss pays for bowling tomorrow night! I have £6 in my bank account so am feeling a little poor. Hopefully some of my expenses will be paid in to my account on Friday... but they are a little lax with payment and I will probably only recieve them next Friday :(

    2) I had my gorgeous scones for brekkie with butter and jam... what a pleasure! I hate breakfast cereal and hate eggs even more so I am pretty limited as to what I can do to make breakfast interesting. Fruit just never is enough.

    3) Samples of camambert and brie from a supplier... YUM!

    4) Nice comment from a colleague... pity it was because my blouse was undone!! (by mistake!!!)

    5) Getting a really nice note from our admin guy... the lovely Rob... who was so chuffed that I brought him a box of tablet back from Inverness.

    Have a lovely evening everyone.

    L

PS - Loving the confidence of your number 5 Caterina!

Still catching up with all the posts since I was last here, (((HUGS))) to all in need especially CCP - thinking of you.

Well, I have had a very nice day today (Its my birthday!). I have had lots of treats, cards and a mammoth shopping trip.

Here are some of my pleasures for today:

    - Woke up early and was presented with my gifts from DD and DH. I already had my "main" present, a new phone, so wasn't expecting anything else, but I got some books, a fab cupcake recipe book, and a pretty cover for my phone.
    - First of all, we went to Street in Somerset and I bought lots of clothes, all at outlet prices, I even managed to get some reduced T-shirts BOGOF :money:. DH treated me to some new Le Creuset dishes, which already at a reduced price, but they were also buy 3 get 1 free AND I got a free pie funnel voucher with my pie dish! I am already planning some meals to use my new dishes!
    - Next, we went to Cheddar and walked through the gorge. It was a beautiful day and we all really enjoyed the long walk, we also bought a big bag of cheese and crackers which we ate for our tea.
    - DH bought me THIS "Dig for Victory" shopping bag, which is just too cute and is my favourite present of all!
    - Finally, as I have been treated like a queen all day, I am SO grateful to have such a lovely family and especially my DH who has been (and always is) fantastic :A

My birthday celebrations will continue tomorrow, as DH has an extra day off work and we intend on having another busy day.

Evening everybody. Hugs & good luck wishes to all who need them.:hello: My os pleasures for today have been

    1. Went to Warrington with my Dsis and only payed out for what I needed. Got some more dummies for DS and he lost another one while we were out. They were 2 for 6 quid at boots but when I got to the till is was a fiver :money:
    2. Auntie made a loaf of bread for DS and DH from her bread maker and gave me some recipes to try in mine. I'm used to doing gluten free so have no idea how to make normal bread:)
    3. Actually got a voucher of this website for H&M. My Dsis used it against some maternity clothes and the rest were on sale so she got a bargain. :money:
    4. Went to Weight Watchers and lost 2.5lb after a few weeks of half a pound here or there. Stayed for the whole meeting and walked there and back even though my friend offered me a lift.
    5. Went to Mr S on the way home and bagged a Pork Shoulder joint for 3.46. It was a fiver when I walked round the first time but timed it perfect on the way back round.

I'm having my haircut tomorrow but I might just ask for a dry cut and save myself 8 quid.:money:

    Good evening all

Ladyhawk - I did!!! :D For breakfast I have my hm fruit loaf. or i have hm fruit and cinnamon bread or breakfast muffins or a kind of breakfast twinks (any excuse to eat twinks!!! :rotfl:) or pancakes.

    Tealady - thanks

Jexy - brilliant picture! love it! :rotfl:

House elf - its only him that can smell something. when i take the washing out of the machine all i can smell is the fabric conditioner!

Kittikins - i get itchy as soon as we get the letters which are far too frequent!

Shadowsfall - Much better day today thanks (not a rant in sight!!! :j) I got a really good deal with orange as well when my contract was up.

Heres mine for today - a good day today.

1 pm from Caterina - thank you. I love this thread. Everyone is so friendly.

2 Got todays fly lady done :j

3 hm fruit loaf with hm butter mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

4 the chocolate cake i made (as per flyladys todo list) was the best chocolate cake i have ever made! I nearly didnt make it as it has coffee in and i really hate coffee but you cant taste it at all!

5 whoopsie chicken gougons in a hm bbq sauce with hm paprika wedges. Lovely lovely lovely.

6 I made 2 loaves of bread with the butter milk as i lent my scales to my friend so couldnt measure out the ingredients for the scones (i used mugs to measure for the chocolate cake) forgetting that i needed to measure a lb of flour but guessed that! They look the best yet - not tried them yet though!

Thats all for me. Have a good evening.

    1. NSD, a "benefit" of DD being ill and not leaving the house!

    2. DD's not 100% but has been so cuddly and perky in between having a fever and being languid, bless her little heart :)

    3. My pa will be coming down tomorrow morning to look after DD whilst I go to work, sure he can't wait to be with his beloved granddaughter, especially as she's bound to need even more cuddles than usual.

    4. In anticipation of the paternal visit, I have tidied my room (as DD's sleeping with me yet again, lol) and have tackled Mount Ironingberg! My house is always a mess, so if I can do a few bits, it'll look good ;)

    5. A really old housemate has got in touch via FB, so exciting!! We were such good friends, looking forward to catching up with her.
