Hi all, hugs to all that need or want them and hello to all newcomers to the thread.

Here's mine for the last few days:

    1. Doing flylady so the home is cleaner and I'm just getting on with doing it instead of being stubborn and sulking :o
    2. OH giving me a big hug and a kiss for cleaning the whole bathroom (it's his job but hasn't done it for a while).
    3. I have another interview (tuesday) so at least some employers are still interested in me :(
    4. Everyone liking the pitta pizzas I made for lunch using ketchup, pre-grated cheese, left over frankfurters chopped up and some chicken. Cheap and easy ;)
    5. Being able to borrow a carpet cleaner - done the hallway so far, lounge tomorrow and then the bedrooms :o Couldn't believe how gross the water was from doing the hallway :o
    6. Sainsbugs not delivering the chicken breasts I ordered so popping to Aldi and getting them CHEAPER! Doh!
    7. Meeting up with some old friends I don't see too often and having a chat and a catch up.
    8. Remembering I had expensive printer paper for my filofax (4 pages to an a4 sheet all perforated and hole punched) and printing out my flylady lists and some encouraging sayings/poems to use as my "control journal".
    9. Baked butternut squash for tea - good food recipe.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

    Evening all,
CCP - sorry to hear about your gran.
Jexy - your poor chooks... they just thought that you wanted to include them in your picnic!
Caterina - hmm... not sure about going steady. In fact I am seriously considering giving him the boot. He seems to have lots of female friends and maybe just is not good a moving from friends to more than friends. Anyway until he makes up his mind (I will not do the chasing) I am firmly back on the market!
Newlywed - Good luck for the interview... hope this is the one!
    Lysa - welcome!
Blimus - WD on the bargain camera!

    1) Baked some very yummy scones with some very sour and slightly chunky milk

    2) Popped into town to look at clothes but luckily didn't see any I liked... phew!

    3) Came home via the rubbish tip and got rid of loads of bits and bobs that have been hanging around for ages... like 10 years worth of batteries that I didn't want to put with the regular rubbish!

    4) As I was round the corner from Asda I did battle with the hordes so now I have a full fridge again. Asda was not the pleasure, the full fridge was!

    5) Roasted some butternut for lunch tomorrow (what's with everyone using butternut today??)

    6) Big load of washing on and drying. I am going to put the whites on before I go to bed tonight. I might even get round to doing some ironing... though I won't hold my breath!

    7) First of my little seeds are sprouting - I don't know what they are but it's exciting!

    8) Bought some DIVINE Ben and Jerry's which was on special at Asda - £3! It's not a flavour that I have tried before... but I am truly in love... it's called Fairly Nutty. It caramel ice cream, with caramel swirls and almond praline... what's not to like!

Have a fantastic week everyone. I really hope it warms up!

    L

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    Hello everyone

Ladyhawk - the wine would have helped if dh hadnt drunk most of it!!

Sparrer - he did used to have his little attic room with his ps3 in but moved it into the dinning room so no, I cant get rid of him!!! :p

Jexy - thanks. I remember have a bbq round sil's house and her chickens trying to get the buns! They kept nicking them out of our hands!!! :rotfl:

CCP - I so am sorry to hear about your gran.

Caterina - things will get back to normal, it usually doesnt bother me but think what got to me really was him ignoring me when i went out to get HIS beer leaving him with HIS kids for 2.5 hours!!! I am never without the kids and he rarely has all 3 so I think it was that, that topped me over the edge!

Blimus - today was better but i still need a bit of a rant! :p

newleywed - what carpet cleaner have you got? i have a vax and after cleaning the carpet it still looks dirty although I know its doing some good as the water is black!!!!

Just a little rant today. I didnt get a lie in as ds2 has started screeching on a morning which really isnt pleasant to wake up to (dh had a lie in as usual!!!) Then I discovered the kids had nits and I found this out because I had nits!! (we are all nit free again now but will probably last until middle of week when dd takes her hairband out in nursery again!) my car still isnt working, looks like its the battery so need to find money for that now! more stress! and breathe.........

    Mine for today

    1 Sausage sandwhich for breakfast

2 Popped to netto after getting a text off my friend saying lots of whoopies and got some chicken and double cream.

3 Used the whoopsie double cream to make butter. I made butter!!!! :D I had some on my fruit loaf and it was divine! got the buttermilk ready to make scones tomorrow.

4 Kids played out in the sun with little rabbit foo foo whilst i cleaned his cage out.

5 Used up last of yesterdays whoopsie sausages for toad in hole for tea and everyone ate it and had dessert of whoopsie chocolate cupcake.

    and

6 I spoke to my mum today and she sounds quite positive that she wont be needing more treatment from what they said on Friday (fingers crossed) and she seemed genuinly happy that we are going to the caravan in a few weeks so we can visit her. Usually i get the comment of 'i didnt think you'd bother'!!

So not a bad day afterall! :D

Have a good evening everyone (now off to drink dh's wine that he didnt drink yesterday as he was drinking mine!!! :p)
