2. End of project wrap up meeting at work with some really positive feedback for me.
3. Drinks at the pub after meeting.
4. Day out with DD yesterday for Real Food Show, tried so much really yummy food and drink. Plus came away with so many free samples.
5. DD loving the Show yesterday especially as she got to feed a lambfor both me and DD to grow at home, plus a free potato planter and potato chits.
6. Free basil seedling plants at show
7. Shopping budget coming in well under budget this week. Plus got some really good whoopsies in Waitrose
Hugs to all who need them0 -
Here are my five pleasures for today:
1) Slices of a gammon joint I baked yesterday in a sandwich - mmm
2) Doing my Pilates for the first time in a week or so and feeling a bit better for it.
3) A couple of films watched.
4) Getting caught up to date on Ashes to Ashes - wow, things are really looking interesting!
5) Having a nice relaxing day
Beyond that, there hasn't been much happening today. Thanks to that gammon we don't have to go shopping for much this week. We'll need some fruit, and that's about it.I have no idea what to make for tea tomorrow night, either. Here's to me getting my mealplan inspiration back!
Have a lovely rest of weekend and take care, everyone
KB xx

Right, I give up....
I replied to everyone, gave hugs, welcomed people, spent the last 45 mins doing it... got to my 5 and it would seem that I pressed some STUPID button that was a keyboard shortcut by accident, and YET AGAIN lost the lot, not even me closing a tab in error... ITS NOT FUNNY!
now I am grumpyI am tired and grumpy now in fact so I am going to just post 5. I will in future copy paste after my replies, then when i do something stupid, I wont lose stuff again.
1) Gosia is excited I am going to help her tomorrow "I am so excited mom, you can help me make my head proper there is too much to do and I wont eat biscuits if yuo are there cause we will be organised" !!!!
2) OH went over to Gosias house today to disconnect a fire and help her a bit as a surprise and she was just so happy, he also remembered some fire grates we had for about 6 years, left in a shed of a house we bought, that would "come in handy one day" and one fits perfectly
3) Sorry another Gosia one, but we have one of those floor buffer machines for the restaurant floor, as the new house has wood floors and they cant afford carpet, they have sanded them and then used the wax and buffer, well that was the plan... you know the type of buffer, cleaners in hospitals and the school caretaker make it look easy, lift the handle it goes right, drop it it goes left... apparently Gosia resembled monica on friends (if you ever saw the episode when she did the floor and ended up standing on it as it spun!) and spent 10 minutes telling it to do what she said as she chased it around the room yelling "STOP IT! MAKE IT STOP! ITS RUNNING AWAY WITH ME! She told me all about it and I laughed so hard! OH was there at the time and verified it!
4) Having never used said buffer, it appears its my job tomorrow, watch this space!!!
5) left this one till last to add the pic! Was trying to add "after " pics of the hens, as we realised the ones on the webby looked terribad, considering how they look now, and when we took them, they looked so well to us from the state they were in when we got them! ( I didnt add pics to the website till we had had them for over a month, they looked so bad) EDIT! Have posted here if you want to see the famous lunch stealing eddie before and after! https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/32655695#Comment_32655695
Whilst trying to get the pics (why wont they STAND STILL!) I got this one.. not the prettiest pic, its not her best side lol! but you can see what I was up against! I got harassed, the phone is shiny and looks tasty, I was kneeling on the groiund so the studs on my trousers, my feet and even my bum was peckable (all to clean me off you understand!!!) (this is beaky) It was lots of fun to "try" and do, but I am a few short - out of 36 pics, 6 were useable!! Its amazing posting the pics next to each other of before and afters tho - makes me happy that they are so much better off and look so well now
Uploaded with ImageShack.usI will pay jexygirl the compliment of saying that she invariably writes a lot of sense!0 -
bless you Jex, I was feeling pretty grim then I read your post and saw the pic of Beaky...feel better now and she's adorable! Even if she does deserve an ASBO lol
I didn't win the ebay auction Blimus, think someone used that auto bid thingy and bid in the last few secs. Until then I had it for £1.75! It was a vase I would have used as a kitchen utensil holder, cream with a hand painted sunflower. My kitchen, when it arrives, will be French style in blue and cream with touches of lemon so I'm buying a few pretty bits when I see them. Never mind, something better will come along
Welcome newbies  , this is a lovely place
My 5 -
1. A very quiet day, did the bare minimum of housework which basically means I only swooshed the brush round the loo and washed the kitchen floor
2. a nsd
3. Made myself a roasted roots dinner
4. Long chat with DF, he's not too good today and it was a bit of an effort to cheer him but he did laugh a couple of times.
5. Being pleased today is over - a strange pleasure but tomorrow will be better
Night night, sweet dreams
S x0 -
Morning everyone.
got to make this quick as I have got to get ready for work. I have neglected to do anything useful, as not been v well all weekend. Nothing specific, just coldy and achy, no visible symptoms to get any sympathy from the family:( Thought I would get a little lie in as DD not swimming thismorning, but next door have installed barky dogs which seem to be outside permanently. gave up trying to ignore them at about 5am and got up:mad: Then I read Jexys post and Eddie made me smile :rotfl:Thanks Jex :A
Yesterday
1. Made gloop. (Nuttybabe your DH must have a v sensitive nose, nobody has complained in our house!.....yet).
2. Took DS2 to dance session. We are learning a routine to close the International Dance Festival. DS2 won't let me join in as I will 'Dance like a Mummy' but have hatched a plan with the dance teacher, (also a mummy), to learn it in secret and join in on Saturday:j
3. Dog walk with DS2, DH and smelly dog. She must have paddled in every muddy puddle at the Lickey Hills. Worse than a toddler!:rotfl:
4. Roast dinner for tea.
5. making a 'Shaduf' with DS2 to take in to school for his Egypt topic. It ends up as a bit of a competition to see who can get most enthusiastic about making things! Think I won again!:o
NB we do have two other children, but they took themselves off to 'gatherings' and only re appeared in time for food and homework!
Happy Mondays! HE x
Kittykins - I have pm'd you a code. HTH0 -
lilian1977 - SNAP re The Ghost film, DH and I went yesterday too (alas paying full price, though!) and we found it very good - although the ending is not entirely to my satisfaction, I was hoping for something different! What's the KGB deal?
https://www.kgbdeals.com - they were selling Cineworld vouchers for £1. Definitely worth keeping an eye on , a lot of the deals are rubbish but this one was great
Jexy - I love the picture of the chook! So cute! I'm struggling to be able to take a decent picture of my new hamster too
Got up early today to have a tidy up so will post later with my five for the day xMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Caterina nice to see you back
Blimus are we going to get some samples of photos taken with your sparkly new camera??
newlywed like the idea of your control journal - and good luck for your interview - hope this is the one!!
Right, had a lovely weekend, pleasures were:
1. Saturday morning spent just pottering about the house tidying up and making the place look nice
2. My favourite jeans I have had for aaaages have had a hole in them which I sewed up!
3. A friend I haven't seen fora year came to visit, we had a rather blustery walk along the beach and then home for tea and scones (ys not hm!)
4. He took me out for dinner which was a real treat!
5. OH came back from RM training afew hours earlier than expected which was a lovely surprise.
6. OH and I went for a slow leisurely walk along the seafront with the pup after dropping friend off at the station, stopped for hotchocolate and met some lovely waggy dogs(one looked like a womble which had us singing wombling songs all the way home!!)
7. Finished watching a film we had startedlate a few nights ago, The Kingdom - very good!
8. Share a tub of specialoffer ice cream with OH whilst watching Funny People - hilarious film!
9. A lie in this morning as not at work as having to go to hospital for some test results. I am pretty terrified, but trying to keep busy until we go to keep my mind off it. Thank goodness OH has got the morning off to come with me.
Well - at least the sun is shining.....Clearing debt to save for a simple wedding.Starting 2016 With debt of £77000 -
Morning to everyone and hugs for anyone who needs them. Sorry I don't have a lot of time to reply as I've got a busy day today. Here are my 5 for yesterday.
1. Spent less than our budget on our motorbike leathers :j. I got fabric jacket and trousers for 90 quid :money:. DH got his leathers which were fairly expensive but he did look drop dead gorgeous in them and he will be wearing them everyday to get to and from work.
2. Say my Auntie and her partner at the thundersprint as well as Dsis and fiancee. We had a lovely picnic with DS clawing after everyone's sarnies.
3. Couldn't decide what to cook for tea last night but that magically MIL produced a chilli so that with a jacket was tea and DH's lunch for today.
4. Received more car book bargains from Auntie for DS. She goes to them every week and buys Next coats and shoes for 50p. As DS is 8 months old but wears 9-12 clothes and will be in 12-18 bodysuits and sleepsuits by the end of the week this is really helpful.
5. Sat and watched Godzilla with DH after DS had gone to bed. Love that movie
6. And one more, Auntie said she had some foam magnetic sheets for me that I was going to buy from Hobbycraft for SIL's birthday present. So I'm going to collect them today :j
I'm having so much fun writing these down. It makes me appreciate so much. Now I'm off to get DS uncovered with banana mush and get ready to take my Dsis maternity clothes shopping.:j Everyone have a lovely day.:wave:TOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid offDebt Free Goal September 2017#106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£10000 -
Sorry to hear about your grandmother, CCP. Big hugs xx
Welcome, lysasparkles and savvyshe, keep posting, it's lovely here
Good luck with your tests Nikysg, hugs x
Nuttybabe - I feel your pain, DD used to get nits and share them with me on what felt like a weekly basis when she was at nurseryHowever, since starting school in September, she's only had them twice, yippee!! Am feeling a bit itchy now, lol.
Yesterday's pleasures
1. DD and her little chum woke early but calmly yesterday and put on a puppet show for me that was magical and a real memory to treasure, along with the handwritten invitations that all of the teddies and I were given
2. DD has written a notice informing all interested parties that puppet shows are held in her room "this way" and stuck it to the front door. It's adorable, I daren't take it down
3. Did a Reverbe and found 1p in a jacket pocket
4. We met up with one of my friends and went for a lovely little walk in a local wood and saw billions of bluebells and other beautiful flowers.
5. I made fairy cakes for our picnic that went down a treat
6. DD and I had roasties and roast carrots with lentil pie last night, yum yum
7. My guess at the proportions pastry turned out beautifully. I must have granny's knack at pastry as I seem to always make scrummy pastry things - I say always, I've made it about 10 times in my life.....
8. Visit from a dear friend, complete with belated birthday presents for me and DD. It was lovely to spend a few hours catching up with her news.
Working from the sofa today as DD had a fever of 102 this morning and a headache, but Wallace and Gromit seem to be helping her get better.0
