    Hi all :j

Winchelsea those little pears sound so sweet! Glad you had a nice day.

bunny, your post was very sweet too - the bit about DSs last day at school - aw!

emilyka continue continue continue your healthy choice! So good for you! Well done!

Sparrer, excellent post! Loved the details :)

Ladyhawk well done with the audit!

Well, my five for today would be...

    1. Medium circle went well last night though I had a bit of an odd headache - naughty spirits pressing on my head felt like! Found out how to protect myself from negative energy and when the teacher guy said a wee prayer for our guardian angels to come down and be with us I had a lovely suprise. My little black doggy that I had from a very small pup and who died last year, was suddenly surrounding me and I could feel her face right in front of mine. I was quite moved that she's protecting me. Very lovely. :heart2:
    2. OH was a happy bunny due to the footy score last night and got a little tipsy. He then called me and told me how much he missed me coz he hadn't seen me and text me when he got in saying much the same. Lovely chap he is. :D Great to have a good one finally.
    3. Stroking the cat last night when I got in and noticing how pretty her coat is.
    4. Saw my little nanny last night before the circle as she lives near. Had a chat about how she got her wedding ring and how old it is - it was made in 1865! She got it in 1945 when grandpop told her he was going to marry her :heartpuls Ever so sweet. They met 3 months before he was shipped out with the Navy and they waited til the war was done to be together. Beaut!
    5. All alone in the office today so relaxed yet productive day to come!
    6. Can't wait to see OH tonight as he's coming round.
    7. Read through a few threads elsewhere on this site (non-money related) and realised just how positive and lovely this one is! Some of them are just not pleasant to read.
    8. DM just calling me from Tescamos and asking if I particularly want any cereal... I rarely eat cereal! Was nice though! Told her to get some 'chips and dip' and she wondered if that was in the Taco/Fahjita section... silly billy!
    9. I've managed to arrange my car seat so it makes my neck and shoulders relax a bit, it was so not comfortable previously!
    10. Planning on whisking away a tad early today to vote before the mad after work rush, goody goody!

Have a lovely day everyone, enjoy all the different pleasures that surround you :)

hi all, sorry haven't been keeping up with the thread too much...
Seem to spend half my life on the internet these days with internet banking to check how much money I don't have, job searching every day, and then various threads on MSE.

    Anyway, here's mine:

    1. Flylady website reminding me that instead of moaning about how no-one else does anything I should just get on and make the home how I like it.
    2. Flylady thread meaning I have pretty much cleaned the whole home this week including the dreaded bathroom and it looks and smells better :D
    3. Not feeling guilty about being sat here with a cup of lady grey and some shortbread biccies since I've just spent ages cleaning the bathroom. Usually I sit on my behind thinking of all the stuff I ought to be doing!
    4. Free listing weekend on ebay means I can dig out some things to go on and see if I can make a tiny bit of money.
    5. Sunshine.
    6. My tomato plants and french bean plants growing.

Thank you all for your kind words :A

Sparrer I am using Zyban which I think is helping quite a bit- I'm thinking about food more than cigarettes!

Jex how are you feeling today? Big hugs!

Kittikins and CCP I know what you mean about the heating- OH and I play cat and mouse with it- I turn it up when I walk past it and OH turns it down- I'm very bad for someone who is trying to save money

Blimus Glad your sister is okay, I had a scare a few years ago, awareness is key and hopefully your sister will prompt nearest and dearests to check more often

    My 5 for today are:
-Still no smoking (I hope this one will feature on my list for the next few months)
-I got to see OH before work- usually we are like ships that pass in the night but he got up later tonight had a cuddle- started the day well.
-Summer bulbs in pots just starting to peek through
-Drank a litre of water by 11am!
-Written shopping list for 'fresh bits' and WILL stick to it :p

Hope everyone has a good day x

Thanks to everyone for sharing my relief about my sister. And Emm-in-a-pickle -I think all the members of the family will be checking, checking, checking now.

CCP - I don't blame you turning on your central heating! It's been freezing. If we didn't have storage heaters then I would've had mine on for a bit too. I've been going to bed with a hot water bottle this week.
wogglemaker - intrigued as to what your mystery tree will be. How exciting!
emilyka - sending 'be strong' vibes for you for giving up smoking and losing weight. It must be nearly impossible to tackle together.
Emm-in-a-pickle - OMG that beefcake sounded so yummy. I'm going to have to try that out someday soon. *drools*
Tealady - well done on your win.

    Here are mine from yesterday:

    1) Needed to use up some mini sausages, so made the boys sausage, mash and green bean dinosaurs in a nuttybabe stylee! Thanks for that tip nuttybabe - they went down a storm.
    2) Thanks to a lovely bottle of choclate vinegar I found at the back of the cupboard, I've mostly been eating salads which has got to help with the weightloss (yes, I can see the contradiction there!)
    3) 30 minutes of full-on cardio workout in my front room. It wasn't a pleasure at the time but I felt virtuous afterwards.
    4) Finding a few more items to put on ebay.
    5) Jamie does Venice followed by Desperate Housewives.

Can I ask what is chocolate vinegar?!? I'm not sure whether it sounds lush because of the chocolate aspect or gross because of the thought of chocolate and vinegar together? Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree though :p

You watched Jamie does Venice too... I was drooling a little at the TV, partly the delicious looking tiramisu and partly the chef!! :rotfl:

Here are my pleasures for yesterday:

    - Getting to stay in bed until 9am as DD was sleeping :j.
    - Cobbling together a pasta bake with some bits in the fridge.
    - DH was working in London, but got home 3 hours earlier than if he was working in Bristol, so he got extra cuddles/playtime with DD in the afternoon.
    - Catching up with tv programmes on sky+ (CSI, Great British menu, Iron Chef etc.)
    - Weighing myself and finding out I haven't gained any weight after having fish & chips AND fudge on monday (Well its surely against the law to not have those foods when you go to the seaside, is it not?! :D)

I am looking forward to watching the election later and might stay up all night to watch the results coming in.

ETA:berniesmaster - forgot to say a big hello from a fellow south glos resident here too

I'm so pleased I've found other people that love Jamie O for more than just his cooking skills! ;) I think there's something incredibly sexy about him. I don't even really know anyone else that even likes him as a person! I went to Jamie's Italian in Bath on my honeymoon a few weeks ago - it was incredible.

Has anyone watched Food Revolution (the American series he did)? It's incredible, if you get a chance please do.

    Anyway - things for today:

    1) Swimming first thing to use gym membership - lovely to be in the pool at 8am
    2) HM butternut soup
    3) HM bread with the soup
    4) HM banana bread as a snack
    5) An event at work left loads of food behind (packaged cheese, bread rolls etc) so I have filled my bag with goodies!

Have lovely OS days all x
