    Hi everyone

    My things for today:

    1) appreciate that it's raining as I don't have to water things in the garden (bar stuff in the growhouse)

    2) eating HM butternut squash for lunch and thinking that I didn't waste the squash and the carrots that were past their best

    3) eating HM breadmaker bread with the soup!

    4) Glamour magazine arrived from £6 for 6 months subscription, got free SJP perfume with it too which I've put away for a friend's birthday

    5) Final Graze box arrived :( Had to stop getting it as on a £65 for the month grocery challenge. Everything looks yummy in it though so will at least have a week of delicious treats!

Enjoy your OS days everyone x

Hope everyone is having a good day. ((((hugs)))) to all those who need them.
Here are my five from yesterday:

    1) Good news re my sister's lump in her breast. She has been told that it's very unlikely to be cancerous as it didn't show up black on the scans. She still needs to see a specialist to determine what it is, but at least it's not what we were all dreading. :j

    2) Has been so cold, windy and rainy here for the past few days that it was great to see the sun come out in the afternoon.

    3) A NSD.

    4) Another fan of the local library here - reading a really good book that I only picked up because I liked the cover art. DS1 has also borrowed the 'Twilight' audio cds for free!

    5) Heston's 70s feast followed by Shameless (a bit harsh tonight but it's very good).

    Hi everyone,

Have been away, and since being home have not got around to doing my 5 - so here they are for today:

    1. Sunny here and warm enough to go out in a gilet rather than a coat.

    2. My pear tree blossom has obviously been fertilised by the bees etc - lots of tiny, tiny pears at the bases of the dying flowers.

    3. The carer came to look after DH, and I went on a short train ride for a change of scenery. Great to get out for a few hours.

    4. Had a good night's sleep last night - either DH had a settled night, or, I was too exhausted to hear him wandering around! (Hope it was the former!)

    5. Took a packed lunch out with me, and sat on a bench by a river to eat it, watching the ducks and hearing the birds sing.

    6. Got a small bargain in a charity shop - M&S underwear still in original packet and in my size. Had been thinking I needed some soon, so just right!
Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!

    Evening all.

Blimus - that's fantastic news about your sister.

ACEY - hope your sister is OK.

Everyone else - hugs where needed! (Sorry, I had intended this to be a detailed Ollie-type post, but I'm not feeling at all well this evening and am finding it a bit hard to concentrate. :()

Here's my pleasures for the past couple of days:

    Tuesday
    1) My DM came to visit.
    2) A bit chilly and grey but it didn't actually rain. :)
    3) Nice walk round Petersfield lake, playing spot the bird (we liked the blackcap most, I think).
    4) Wandered round the shops and I didn't buy a single pair of earrings. ;)
    5) Did a Reverbe and picked up 20p.
    6) Nice dinner, with a £10 off voucher. (Although I've just looked at the receipt and spotted that they charged for a glass of wine that should have been included in the price of my DM's meal. My DM paid and, as she didn't have her glasses with her, she must have not spotted the mistake. I'll have to flag that up to the restaurant, although I don't suppose there's any chance of doing anything about it now.)
    7) Got home to find a kindly neighbour had taken in the delivery of my Open University books.

    Today
    1) Another day without rain, although chilly and grey again.
    2) My favourite tree is starting to come out in flower.
    3) Used a voucher for 50p off a jar of red pepper pesto. I've never tried it before but I like tomato pesto so I'll probably enjoy it.
    4) Long lunchbreak at work as the computer network broke down just as we were all coming back to the office, leaving us with nothing to do except talk for an hour or so. :D
    5) Switching the central heating on when I got home. OK, that's rather un-OS but I'm really not feeling well. :o

    Have a nice evening, everyone.
Back after a very long break!

Evening all, Huggs to everyone in need

    1. All our new fruit trees are showing leaves.
    2. The unknown extra that was in with a Morrisons plum tree is showing some leaves (but we still do not know what it is).
    3. Hubby potted on 4 self-set ferns from our big one and 5 foxgloves that self set in the lillies from the garden centre so that's 10 freebies for the garden.
    4. All the free pack of sweet pea seed germinated and are now climbing up a wigwam in our new patio pots.
    5. Found recipes on the web for the pork shanks hiding in the freezer until I knew what to do with them. Also salmon fishcake recipe for the large pack of fresh salmon trimmings.
    6. a nice cuddle from Puss in Boots
7 A big cuddle up with crochet day and hm ready meals all round as I felt grotty again.
    8. Rhubarb seeds have germinated
    9. Got the next much needed appointment through for my lung consultant after chasing up hospital bookings office (only 2 months late)
    10. Got a place on a Pulmonary Rehab course in the next town (Tried google earth for directions but no luck) no answer on the phone - must try harder
    11. Little note book almost up and running
