I have had a truly rubbish day.
I have one pleasure and that was 4:30 when my working day ended and I could go home.
Actually, I have another one and that was taking Bodie pup out for a walk in the bluebell wood - thank goodness for furry friends!

    Evening all,

Hope you are all well. I feel quite shattered tonight and had to have a little kip when I got home!

    1) Being able to collect a couple of my Scottish colleagues from the airport on the way to work today. They had been forgotten by another collegue...

    2) Having to leave the office half an hour early to take said colleagues back to the airport

    3) Freecycled a food processor to a nice man - it was broken but he seemed to think that he could fix it. So glad to have it out of my lounge! Another big tick for the decluttering mission.

    4) Managed to aquire myself a nice new bra... well I somehow managed to perloin my mum's new bra when I went to visit last month. Luckily we are the same size!

    5) My flat is so lovely, clean and tidy after the bank holiday. I am a very definitely lazy perfectionist! I hate clutter and mess but usually CBA to do anything about it except get annoyed!

Right 2 days down and only 3 to go until the weekend!! And only 1 day left in the office. YAY... though I am being audited tomorrow... eeeek!

Hi all. Lovely day here today. My 10 for today:
    - finishing painting the sitting room & putting all the furniture back
    - sorting through the many books I have and getting rid of some (they'll benefit the local shop).
    - Helping out at playgroup during lunchtime - always cute and I had a table full of older girls this morning so they knew what to do.
    - Looking out of the window at my boys playing and suddenly realising I'd gained 7 extra children. Oh well, at least my boys went to bed with no fuss tonight.
    - Hearing my parents have finally got their garden underway - they're planting veggies.
    - Re-designing my kitchen - not that I'll get it, but I can try!!
    - The look on my OHs face when I gave him lasagne (we had it last night too!).
    - Organising a committee meeting for Thursday - no election TV for me!!! phew.
    - Booking a hotel for my friends wedding - finally.
    - Having a lovely (if not cold & wet nose up the back of my leg) hug with my 11 month old puppy! Shes HUGE!
    :):) Roll on tomorrow!
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get the job - and WD for looking at it as a positive experience. Your dream job is just round the corner!

    Evening

    Mine for today:
    1. Everyone up on time this morning with no nagging. Pcaked lunches made, everyone breakfasted and left on time:j. Plus I got some wahing on the line and some ironing done and a quick tidy of the kitchen. All before 7:30 this morning
    2. Picked up a couple of presents from Mamas and Papas for a christening presents for friends dd Christening in a couple of weeks. All for the grand total of 99p thanks to tip on MSE :money:
    3. Also got the new lakeland catalogue with a £3 off voucher in it. Can feel a trip to Windsor at the weekend so I can spend it:T
    4. Easy dinner of last nights left over fish and chips. Bulked it out with some HM onion rings and some bread chicken fillets. Not healthy I know but we don't have food like this too often
    5. As easy dinner prepared loads of veg, bagged and in freezer. Means less to do when coming in from work if everything is prepped.
    6. Chatting on the phone to family today. Chatted with SIL, then one of my brothers and my mum. Mum telling me that dad had got two free bars of milka chocolate with dime bar in it, with the vouchers I sent so he was very happy.

Niksyg - Hope you have a better day tomorrow
Girlysquare - Sorry about the job but well done on the positive outlook
Nuttybabe - Well done on the Sock Monkey sales

    Evening All,

    1. Lovely sunshine on my journey to work.
    2. Nice quiet day as Yr 11 on work experience.
    3. Making 'Bungee bird feeders' from clay, straws and bird seed with my 6th form environmental studies group. We are going to try to sell them at a car boot sale as a challenge for our environmental award. Good job we are not on piece work!!:rotfl:(Well done on your sales Nuttybabe - it must be hard work keeping up with demand!).
    4. Good shopping in MrM on the way home from work.
    5. Lolling about on the sofa all evening cos really tired.

Berniesmaster - Your doggie sounds lovely. The picture you paint is so familiar, but shoe strings usually mixed with mud in our house as she is a digger. We usually have 'slud' marks on our trousers, so stylish! ;)
Niksyg - Know the feeling, hope it's better tomorrow.
Girlysquare - all good experience. Well done!

Have alovely day tomorrow all. HE x

Oooo, good bits and bad bits today...

Must get the bad bits out of the way. To those who wrote about my sister's back appointment. Well, we still don't really know why it was brought forward BUT... the man thinks she might have rheumatoid arthritis. She is only 28 but my dad has it as do about 80% of his relations... Also I worked at school today and just felt as though I wasn't doing a very good job (if that makes sense) and was called into the head's office. Not because of my work but because she is new and had seen my sons have a "secret" file and she just wanted to check with me about their father not being allowed contact with them/not being alllowed to collect them from school. Its always slightly embarrassing.

    Anyway, 5 for today!

    1) Worked in school and, although not completely positive, it means I actually was doing something constructive. Also got to see son's friend's new baby brother as I left. (3 weeks old).

    2) Popped into the nearest town at lunchtime (school is in the next village to ours) and went in the new second hand shop. It was as though it had been put there just for me! I got a new story tape for the boys to listen to in bed (50p), some very fine wool for knitting Action Men clothes in a sensible grey colour (50p), a book for big son and a book for little son we had had out from the library previously because it is about someone with the same name as him! (Really quite an unusual name in this country).

    3) Bigger son had after school science so little son and I went for a walk round the village which was very pleasant.

    4) Picked bigger son then we went to get them some trainers. (Not very OS but it doesn't happen very often).

    5) Had a chat with my neighbour. Our paths don't really cross very often but he lost his job today. It is also his birthday and I find birthdays can be a bit rubbish when you're a single parent and cooking your own cake so sons and I made a tray of fairy cakes and left enough for neighbour and his sons by his door. They had rather a lot of icing and every cake topping going piled on them but were OK!
