Morning all! My 5 for yesterday:

    1. Like Ladyhawk, doing really well on my to-do list - managed all of them.

    2. Hopefully (fingers crossed) sorting out an annoying problem with the reception on my TV.

    3. My favourite crime dramas on TV.

    4. Cuddles with Fudge Foster Cat in the evening.

    5. Taking a bag of clothes and other stuff to the charity shop.

    6. Sorting my budget/finances for May and all looking good. I am going to limit going out for meals this month (see signature) which should help.

    Have a good day, everyone.

    Morning!

Had a lovely day yesterday, my pleasures were -

    1. Went to a car boot with OH and Bodie pup, Bodie was soooo good, and had loads of people make a fuss of him, plus we managed to get a gorgeous old map of the Solent, some desperately needed edging shears, a ceramic dog bowl, a pretty plant pot which will look lovely with my homegrown lavender and an unopened tin of Farrow and Ball paint for £5!!

    2. Lunch of yummy reduced crusty rolls and ham with ys quiche

    3. Had a snooze in the afternoon for an hour and a half - felt muchly refreshed afterwards!

    4. Took Bodie to a big pet shop in the afternoon and got him a new camouflage collar (not very OS but made OH very happy when he saw it - well, when your dad's a Royal Marine a red collar just won't do!!)

    5. Bodie had his first visit to the beach in the afternoon - we didn't stay long as he is still only little, but it was really quiet so we let him off the lead and he seemed sooo happy, it was lovely to see!

    6. Yummy tea of spaghetti and meatballs, followed by ys yoghurt.

    7. We wanted to watch the burning of the wicker man at the Butser Beltain festival, but it cost a tenner each to get in and no dogs allowed, so we found a footpath that we could watch it from, settled down with a bottle of Guinness each and watched the whole thing for free!

    8. A good night's sleep as Bodie was so exhausted he slept for 6 hours before whining to go out.

Off to Hampshire Country Fair today...have a lovely Sunday everyone! x

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Ok, here are my five for today. Lord knows there aren't many (as I've not done very much rather than anything else :p )

    1) Discovering a load of frozen raspberries, cherries and blackcurrants in the freezer. They're now defrosting with a couple of brown bananas I also found so I can have smoothies for my pud!
    2) Getting in at midnight this morning and being asked to make a pizza. I felt like Jamie Oliver :D Unfortunately, DH fell asleep before he could eat any of it - but apparently it is just as good cold :D
    3) A nice relaxing day, coupled with a nice hot bath.
    4) Chilli Bean Burritos for tea - hopefully soon as I'm getting hungry.
    5) Watching the MotoGP and having a kip on the sofa ;) I love MotoGP, but I also find the sound of engines going around a track very restful...

As I said, we've not done much today. We spent a bit of last night in a smokey atmosphere so I've been up half the night coughing. I've just spent a while looking to see how I can boost my immune system so I'm in the process of doing that now - here's hoping that'll do the trick! I might light a candle for tonight to make the place smell nice. Righto, I'm off for a bit - I'm going to make a lemon & ginger tea and hope that works. Take care, everyone, and have a lovely evening.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Evening all (well, more late afternoon, really). Here's mine for today:

    1) Long lie-in this morning (slightly longer than intended, actually, as I had real trouble waking up for some reason).

    2) The first swifts of summer swooping round the rooftops.

    3) My DM has agreed to my suggested alternative for Tuesday's day out. :) And she's found a voucher for us to use for dinner when we get back - this MSE thing's infectious! :D

    4) Changed the bed so I'll have nice clean sheets tonight.

    5) Roast chicken for dinner - I'll have it with salad to make up for yesterday's sub-standard offering. :)

Have a lovely evening, all - and no need to get up early tomorrow, either. ;)
Back after a very long break!

    Hi all, here's mine:

    1. The rain meaning I didn't have to bother watering the plants in the garden :D
    2. Planning a rare day out tomorrow with the family.
    3. Laughing with friends - about being jobless and broke etc - but it was good to laugh.
    4. DH making me a cuppa this morning.
    5. Trying to remember not to worry about the tomorrows - I have everything I really need for today (as well as packed lunch stuff for tomorrow ;)).
    6. I have 4 very brown nanas begging to be made into muffins... so will go off and do that now, as well as get some dinner on ;)
    7. Two of the jobs I've applied for have their closing dates during next week so hopefully should hear something soon.
    8. I've enquired about volunteering for reception/admin in the local hospital (thought it might look good on the CV as I'm also applying for admin jobs there ;)) - plus it's only 20 mins walk away.
    9. Being reminded of flylady website - and I have the books too somewhere :o - Feeling the need for some structure and routine in my unemployed days and hoping this will be it.

    Oh, this looks fun!

    Ok then, my 5 are;

    1. Went to get the shopping with my shopping trolly so I could get it on and off the but instead of getting a taxi.
2.Bought a nice bit of cheap beef brisket in the yellow sticker bit which will do dinner tomorrow
3.My slow cooker broke so I got one in the sale for very little money and its even better than the old one.
4.Going to friend's house for dinner tonight instead of eating out.
5.Finally sewed a button onto a pair of trousers.

Oh and I cut my DH's hair today to save going to a barber!

There, it makes me look quite good really!

    Haven't done this for ages!

1 Coloured hair (been doing this for years now - so much cheaper!)
    2 Made a Victoria sponge.
3 Walked the dog with my lovely neighbour in the rain - first time in about 3 weeks as we've both been poorly so we didn't care if we got wet, loads to catch up on!
4 OH making a lovely steak & kidney pie for tonight (and a veggie version for DD).
5 Watching the greenfinches on the feeders as I type this!

    xx

    Evening everyone,

I've had a really good day so think I've got more than five.

1 lovely chat with Dad this morning, and got his wish list for freezer bits when eldest goes up next weekend.
    2. a visit to the greenfingered board told me that T & M had 1/2 price veg seeds
3.Got some new varieties to try but spent more than I should on veg seeds, though will save money next year and some were for dad
4 found 1/2 a reduced price brown bloomer in the freezer and turned it into some lovely Bread & Butter puds. 4 are in individual portions to go up to dad.
    5. lots of lovely yellow sticker items on my Sunday afternoon trundle round Morrisons.
    6. Being able to spoil dad with said yellow sticker items as they are things he will like.
7 Finding several nice looking salmon fishcake recipes that will use the really meaty pack of salmon trimmings found in Morrisons.
8 kitty might be growing up after all (caught and killed her first bird today)
9 batch of twinks now nestling (hiding) in the large cake tin.

    Hugs to all
