Evening all, Huggs all round if you are in need or just fancy one.

Here are my five for today, I might even be able to make more. Lets see how I do

1 Hubby managed to get the washing dried ohn the line before the rain started.
2 Seven fish pies now in tin foil trays five for dad 2 for me
3 Most of the ingredients were whoopsied!!
4 The lovely smell after it rained
5 Watching kitty decide she was a coward - too cold and wet to go out
6 Hubby bought me a more expensive (direct drive) food processor - I'd have been happy with a cheap belt driven one. (can now mince meat again and make cakes - I've not got enough strength in my arms now to do it manualy)
7 The Phillips he bought was on special at 1/3rd off
8 Had a good laugh at the recipe leaflet included - the frount and back cover are in English, but the recipes are in every language but.
9 Called in to Lidl on the way home, had a rummage in the bacon piece which are on down to £2.00 from £2.50 and found one that was all bacon steaks. Also some beef tomatoes and mushrooms on offer to go with tea
10 had a lovely tea of steak, beef tomato, mushrooms and sweetcorn fritters (note to self - I really must start using recipes rather than fly by the seat of my pants).
11 Son wants to go and see Grandad without us, so he can help out on his own.

WOW - writting this all down has made me really happy,

    Evening all,

I've had such a productive day... the to do list really got me motivated and I have completed 19 of the 34 things on it... :) I have been gardening until 7.45pm this evening - at 7.46pm it started raining! Hope the rain keeps up over night because I planted my tomatoes, brussel sprouts, broad beans and dwarf beans out, as well as my freesias. I love freesias!

    1) Getting so much of my to do list completed - including rearrganing the lounge and hanging doors two sets of doors on my own. I also rearrange the deep freeze so that I now know vaguely what is in it.

    2) Kiwiboy called and we had a nice long chat and have arrange to meet up for drinks when I get back from Inverness on Friday.

    3) My lovely friend C called to get advice on what to do about her fancying a friend. I don't know what she asks me for relationship advice... I've been single for 10 years!

    4) I managed to use my "I'm only a girl, I'm pathetic, please help me" look to great effect at B&Q - a nice man loaded my trolley with potting compost and told me that as the bag was slightly split it would be half price. Bargain!

    5) Put some more books and DVD's onto Amazon and some stuff onto freecycle as part of my ongoing decluttering mission. I have also put a bag aside of stuff to go to the charity shop tomorrow.

    Have a lovely evening!

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    My 5 for today:

    1. Pottered around the garden a bit. Earthed up me tatties, won't be long now till i can harvest them, hopefully...can't fit any more earth in the pots they are in, and they are enormous pots.

    2. Made a large lasagne for tea and a veggie curry for my DD. We tool the food over to Mum and Dad's to eat it with them.

    3. Baked 2 x trays flapjack. Yum.

    4. Me and Mum went to Mass together this evening.

    5. The day started not so good as felt quite poorly, but it is ending much better, though i do feel doped up with medication! I'm not illegally doped though ;-)

Enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend folks!

    Evening everyone,

Well the curse of the birthday struck again if a day late. OH found out yesterday that his boss is probably going to wind the company up very soon.
    Anyway pleasures for yesterday/today:
    Friday
    1. Knowing we can manage on my income with some belt tightening. Plus we have some savings from the last year of being good to help us out as well.
    2. Applying for a job online for OH whilst he was giving me the news on the phone. I don't believe in hanging around. :D
    3. Went out to dinner with OH, DD and the inlaws last night for my birthday. Had a lovely meal
    4. Inlaws paid for dinner which was very nice of them
    5. MIL made me a pear and chocolate chip birthday cake, it is so yummy
    6. More birthday cards including one off my best friend from school
    Today
    1. DD and OH doing a driving experience each at Mercedes Benz world. These were vouchers that were christmas presents
    2. The big smile on DD's face when she drove past us on the 4x4 course. She has never driven before (only 14) and loved every minute of it. Now wants driving lessons there for 15th birthday:eek:
    3. Wander round the museum at Mercedes as was included, bit boys and there toys but still interesting
    4. Had lunch/dinner at a local golf club, not OS but half the price of Mercedes
    5. Coming home and having a lovely nap

Hugs to all who need them especially Newlywed. Jexy loved the poem. House elf well done on the OFSTED

Had lots of little pleasures today, but if I had to pick 5........

1/. The 3 older kids have all baked something today so we have a cupboard full of sweet and savoury treats and happy kids!

2/. We've had a long family bike ride

3/. DH is out with the "lads" tonight so I've had the pleasure of doing exactly what I want this evening.

4/. The babies both went straight to sleep tonight without any fuss

5/. DS1 CHOSE without prompting to sit and read a book by himself (this is something rare but increasing it is a work in progress! ;))

    5 for today!

    1) Had sun this morning which gave us time to do the garden. Lots of rain since and the garden REALLY needed it; we had had 2 weeks with no rain at all, apart from a drop yesterday.

    2) Got on top of the washing and drying.

    3) Took the boys to see their father in the contact centre and he behaved himself! No silly manufactured dramas and tears for a change.

    4) Had some nice Aberdeen Angus sausages from Sainsburys for tea, they were money off and really tasty.

    5) Dr Who and Casualty.

    6) Boys played very well together this evening. Some very complicated game involving old plant pots from our gardening, they even took them in the bath with them!

A quick 5 before I go up the wooden hill to Bedfordshire...oh, I'm already in Bedfordshire, silly me

    1. Spoke to ex OH on the phone, he's still in a room on his own but sounds much perkier, been up and doing his exercises like a good boy ;)

    2. Vac'ed, dusted, polished and baby-wiped all through upstairs. I :heartsmil baby wipes, I keep a packet in every room. Mr A sells them at 4 packs for £3, they're ideal for window sills, radiators, painted furniture, lamp shades, the glass in the front door, trainers, getting grass stains off satin shoes...even removing male-up :D

    3. Sunshine on and off all day giving just enough warmth to have the door and windows open, then a good shower this evening to water the garden

    4. An evening with friends from my fellowship, I swear one day we'll be arrested because of the raucous laughter that comes from out meeting room :D

    Night night, sweet dreams

Dear Mr and Mrs "5 OS pleasures in your day"
Jexygirl will be absent from posting this evening, as she has had a busy day and night, and had the requisite brandies, in order to relax her, and therefore does not have the concentration span, nor the dexterity to reply as would usually be the case.
She has however read all of your pleasures, and is pleased to hear all is mainly well in the 5 OS world.
She hopes that by writing this note, that she will not have to do detention, as she is not AWOL, simply reading then going to bed!
She will aim to resume usual attendance in due course.
    Yours
    Jex

(well a note from your mum worked well in getting you out of PE in my day! Not that I want to get out of replying, just the usual, weekends / busy / bloody customers!)

and she finally worked out after 4 months, how to make that quote her sig! :rotfl:

Hugs to you and OH Tealady, well done for being so proactive on your OH's part, hope he finds a good job quickly.

Hello everyone! Yup 4:30 and I can't sleep (again), so what better thing to do than record my Saturday's happiness :)

    1. Naughty me went shopping to Mr T's with DD yesterday when we were both very overtired, cue lots of naughty treats and a realisation that my budget is going to be tight this month. Oooh, but proper English muffins are soooo yummy :)

    2. I had a lovely time at the opera with my friend on Friday night, apart from being very woozy during the first half because I might have taken one too many of my painkillers!? Thankfully she drove, lol.

    3. DD really enjoyed her sleepover, I had to virtually drag her out of her friend's house about 2pm yesterday as they were playing so well :)

    4. DD and I had a celebration dinner of pizza in the sitting room last night :)

    5. Have just reserved a little stereo for my new ip0d to sit in, will put £25 L0ve to shop vouchers towards it and Arg0s will give me £5 voucher as it's just over £50 :)

Right, back to bed I guess!
