I get that too. I think it's a new feature they've added in the latest upgrade, so you can 'unthank' someone if you change your mind later. It seems a bit of an odd idea to me, but I suppose they wouldn't have introduced this unless people wanted it - personally I'm just ignoring it. :)

    HTH. :)

Just another 'man'made invention, they try to confuse us but it's not going to work! :rotfl:

Nuttybabe- I know how you feel today, let's hope for some sunshine and something good to come your way to cheer you up :o

Just a short one for me today- determined to spend more time at work actually working (novel I know!) I seem to spend increasing amounts of time on MSE forums and less time doing work which ultimately means staying late in the office

My five for the day are:

    1) Bulk cook (didnt get time on Monday!) 1 kilo of mince and lentils transformed into 2 cottage pies, a bolognaise and a chilli
    2) Put money I havent spent this month back into the bank
    3) Tidy up the bedroom.... it still looks a bit like a bombs hit it :p
    4) Fix the two jumpers that have some how sprung holes in the armpits!
    5) Little supermarket shop (basket size only as I am currently not buying anything other than essentials unless I have used up everything in the freezer and store cupboards)

    Have a good day :A

Morning all! My 5 for yesterday:

    1. Yummy curry out in Bristol - generous portions!.

    2. Catching up with my friend from school, who I'd not seen for...ahem...30 years and a bit...

    3. Trying out a new pub with said friend.

    4. Overspending on my evening out and hence realising that I need to rein in my spending on eating out. Best to realise now so I can do something about it!

    5. Short day at work due to having to attend a course in the afternoon.

Enjoy the rest of your day, everyone.

    Morning all.
Good news on Dh's job - his company accepted his proposal and will be going ahead with it ASAP :j I am so pleased for him, he desrves it.
To celebrate his good news we had takeaway for tea, so diet was well and truly out the window. :o

Apart from the above good news, here are my other pleasures for yesterday:

    - A visit to the library. I borrowed THIS book on baby foods, it has some new snack ideas to try.
    - A wander round the shops in the sunshine. I realised that i must start shopping in our greengrocers again as I bought 1bs new potatoes, 2 large baking potatoes, a red pepper and a lemon for just £1.82p.
    - Getting lots of washing done and dried outside.
    - Cleaned living room and kitchen with just a damp microfibre cloth and used no nasty chemicals.
    - Finished a library book, I went "old skool" :D and read an Agatha Christie, it was rather good too.

Extra one: Feeling very positive about our future. After some uncertainty in Dh's previous jobs, it feels like we really can acheive our dreams :A.

    Good evening all.

I've been feeling a bit off-colour today for various reasons, not helped by having to re-wash one of my nice clean sheets as an incontinent seagull scored a direct hit within 20 minutes of the stuff going out on the line to dry.

I'm determined to find 5 pleasures, though.

    1) Finding out that one of my work colleagues also doesn't like the village my DM wants to visit next week. That's a pleasure as I thought it was one of these places everyone liked and I was just odd, so it's good to know I'm not (or at least not in that respect! ;))

    2) Bought some plastic backs to stop one of my pairs of earrings falling out. The stops were more expensive than I expected, but still cheaper than buying a new pair of earrings because I'd lost one.

    3) Received the new earrings I bought myself as a reward for reaching my first dieting target - very pretty, and fairly traded so I can enjoy them with a clear conscience. :)

    4) One of my colleagues reading out some of the Monster Raving Loony Party's manifesto promises at work - we thought the 99p coin was particularly inspired. :rotfl:

    5) Dinner from the storecupboard tonight, using up all sorts of odds and ends. The result smells quite promising...

    Have a pleasant evening, everyone.
Back after a very long break!

    Evening all

    Ladyhawk - thanks

Jexy - i cant believe how well he has grown. last year i didnt manage anything and the broccoli and cauli i have tried growing this year are not going well!!!

emilyka - must have been something in the air. :p

well, i am feeling alot happier today. dont know if it was because i was still a bit ill or because dh was ill so was down and brought me down with him or just that i kept thinking of things i needed to do!!

    Mine for today

1 Got some whoopsie turkey breasts, stilton and ham today. and 3 huge pots for my pepper plants for £1 each (much bigger than the ones I was going to get in poundland) :j

2 Sorted out the change of address (more secure) for the caravan insurance (finally) and they refunded ... wait for it..... £4.80! Better than nothing!! :p

3 Spent the morning on the phone regarding my little sock monkey venture, spoke to business link, hmrc, mortgage people, house insurance people and liability insurance people. I was putting off these calls as i thought i wouldnt like what i heard but all ok!

4 My salad leaves are doing really well, and some that i planted yesterday are sprouting! Tommy the tomato plant is still growing and i think he has a few flowers starting so might be getting my toms soon!! I did put him out in the sun this afternoon and remembered to bring him back in!! :D

5 Used the stilton in my hm cheese & ham pasta bake and it was lovely and everyone ate it.

6 Cleaned the kitchen and did the ironing at last!

    Have a great evening everyone.
