  • MHags. Kit Kat time. Take a break. You could also have some chocolate
    PK Beginineers!

5 You would not believe how tasty the stove brewed chicken curry was yesterday. Well worth the rubbing of the tum after beach ready BoP came home from flexing in the gym. Proper egg fried rice was tossed into the dish as well. Proper foods. Remember just last week BoP visited the dentist and does not have to see him again until November. That is what proper food does.

Tonight, third day brewed stove curry. Please remember that the refrigerator should only be used to chill wobbleades and wine!

4 At mill grinding the corn. The usual password change day has arrived again. Usual rules, same phrase, wrong month! Hope it blocks me out. IT and softwares type. Keep breaking the system to stay in work. At a previous salt mine, once went into their darkened room to borrow a top of lap. They had no windows! Yes, really, they had no windows. They had a big screen detailing how they were doing, in real time! ‘Thank you for calling the Notwork help desk. We are currently ruining other people’s day’ ‘You’re in a queue, here is some decent music to brighten you up’ They would never dare, & look away now, Gin by the Tiger Lilies!

PM2& They make your hairy folk look like choir boys!

3 Yes, it is now 35 years since I watched the BBC. It was at 21:33Z. It was a Monday!

2 Night the cans of paint normally used when I catch the big Warster on FryDay, will be splashed all over the walls of the bedroom. It will not get messy! That is why BoP uses proper paint from the dog, it does not drip, not like that water coloured powder paint from the emporium. How many more times does the BoP give it to proper!

Oh, on the subject of the Big Warster train, BoP is just organising his sojourn up to the north, via the Warster avoiding lines, but on the snail train through brum, to tell the customer we are correct. If they disagree, guess what. We are still correct. That is that settled then, we could do the meeting in a five minute phone call, but that would miss out on a decent curry at their place! Not all play, but work!

The normal process has not been followed!
  • 1) I have a poorly He Who Knows BUT the pleasure was contacting the doctors surgery and being taken seriously and the doctor (bless him) phoned within a quarter of an hour and left a prescription to pick up there and then.

    2) My eyes have improved and I don't need any new glasses said the Optician when I went for my routine appointment this morning Woohoo!!!

    3) Walked from the optician to the hairdressers as I'm feeling like a cross between a dandelion clock and D. Trumps hair to make an appointment and was offered 4 this afternoon, result.

    4) Bumped into two of my doggie walking pals at different times and then into Sue and Charlie retriever when I walked Cookie today so many cuddles, lovely!

    5) Hawthorn all along the lanes and hedgerows (and on our front hedge) covered in white flowers by the million, beautiful.

Mrs LW sounds like a great doctors.

We are very worried, DH’s tests have come back and the doctors phoned, he’s been called into the doc’s next week, the day after his bday, worried doesn’t really cover it.:(

1 A soggy drizzly day here, I watched a pair of Robins feeding each other not something I have seen before.
2 Did a lot of research into DHs birthday and found a great local deal for some grub on the day? I also thought I might try my hand at making something.
3 Another washing load done and hanging around the house.
4 Dinner will be 2 grilled sausages and various green beans, cawli, carrot and new spuds.
5 Very happy to find a home bargains have opened not far from here.:T

Best wishes to poorly MrLW and MrPK.

    Pleasures for today (Wednesday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Porridge with raspberries from the freezer for breakfast.

    3) Did various bits then went to see the hens and did an hour of digging on the allotment.

    4) Went for lunch at mum and dad's (pheasant curry) then took my brother to see the new bridge.

    5) Had an email whilst out from the Elections Dept and I am "on call" tomorrow in case anyone drops out or is unwell. So I can be called from 6.30am onwards!

    6) Brother has "introduced" me to AirBnB so I have £30 off with them.

    7) Did just over an hour of revision with bigger son - doing equations with brackets in them.

    8) Former work colleague came round with my leaving present - an orchid (never had one of those before) and lots of vouchers for our local garden centre!

Have done little all evening and am in bed now.

    Small collection:

    1. A wonderful evening at the live music club.
An extremely gifted young guitarist stunned us all with instrumental renditions of Over The Rainbow and Classical Gas. Classical Gas rarely gets played as it is so challenging, well, he met the challenge and then some. There were other wonderful performances too, it was such a good night.

    2. Nicely MS meals. I used up a packet of frozen peas, noted they were freezer burned but as they were going in with some rice to be cooked in the micro I knew they would rehydrate. Afterwards I looked at the Best Before for the peas. Feb 2016. They did rehydrate somewhat but still didn't look as plump as the dried peas that were in the pack of rice.
I'm still alive and the peas weren't wasted.

    3. A silicone waffle maker arrived in the post from China, it cost me pennies, and I'm looking forward to trying some of the recipes I have found on the Net.

    4. Visit from a friend, I'm doing well for visitors this week.

    5. As a result of a chance remark from this friend, I am being given a lawnmower. The grass outside my fence is no longer cut by the local authority, and although I have a strimmer, my lawnmower passed away some years ago. The lawnmower uses plastic blades which are tricky for my friend to fit with her arthritic hands.

    6. Your pleasures, thank you.

    Morning all

What a lovely sunny morning it is too here in the Midlands. Washing is on and OH and I have a 'date' afternoon at the CBSO :T

    Pleasures for yesterday

    1. Annoying trip to London to the library went ok. Train was early so i was out before i thought i would arrive (IYCWIM). Got my reserved book OK and the ones i'd had to put back the day before were easily visible on a trolley. So i got some of them out again. I know rules is rules, I know it was my fault, but bliddy annoying none the less
    2. Walked back to Euston through Regent's park. Man it was lovely, even though it was a gloomy day. Birds were singing away, the flowers were in bloom and many fat squirrels were scurrying about. Someone was feeding them nuts and they ran up, grabbed a nut and scurried away then stopped and were ferociously concentrating on eating them like a toddler with a biscuit :D I walked a total of 4 miles yesterday
    3. Got a free cup of tea in the first class lounge and treated myself to one of my favourite chocolate biscuits as I'd walked off the calories
    4. got some niggly study related jobs done
    5. Chicken and apricot casserole for tea with some left to freeze :T

    Have a lovely day all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Bit of a stress headachey thing going on so I'm in bed ...without watching masterchef!

Work. Love a Thursday . My busiest day.
Lovely walk with dog boy. It was so chilly this morning ( needed gloves ) but bright .

Then the stress kicked in. DD2 had a hospital appoinment , she'd told me date & time ...just not where! We were assuming it was at local hospital. Had arranged to meet our lovely pain doctor for a quick catch up at cancer hospital cafe ( it joins main hospital) , I had a pile of puzzle books (without their front covers) to donate that I've saved from going in the bin at work.

Just going into the hospital is hard. Going into the building where we held our beautiful silver wedding party was hard. Coming out the lift and seeing the stunning views I saw everyday was hard. Seeing lovely doctor was lovely. She told us there was a shuttle bus that ran staff to other hospital where our appointment was so we got on that for free and then a lovely nurse showed us where to go....other hospital is old and sprawling.
Upshot of a whole afternoon spent there is she needs major orthopaedic surgery on both hips. Luckily the consultant we saw is a specialist in what she needs. Shuttle bus back and train home.

It was I think the longest I've been out the house in over 2 months so was glad to get home to my dog boy .

    Sandwich for tea.

    Tomorrow is another day :)
  • 5 Now yous do not want me to tell you how to treat the ladies do you, but after BoPsie did wrong at the weekend and had a night in the shed, she is again back in the frills of things. Last evening, and as BoP does every so often, I goes out and grabs the bar guns! Well the cream bars of Mr Fry were on offer at the w8rs. And as I like the Turkish one as well, I grabbed one each, a pack of three treats. Well BoPsie, who is clearly after something, this morning put into the lunch box for BoP, two choccies. One cream and the other Turkish. Tum shall be rubbed!

4 And as well you don’t need me to tell you that you do it inn moderation, it is not everyday that BoP needs the choccies, so the Turkish has been wolfed down. And the cream bar, it is being eaten in chunks. Did you know that it was the first fondant chocolate bar in the world! Proper food was also eaten, with fresh orange, digestive biscuit at eleven, and salad. Proper food.

3 Now as you all know that BoP preaches about proper food, and just this very morning on the wireless thing, not bbc, they were talking about boys not eating. Well, just yesterday a colleague that eats carp, crisps, chips, cake etc because he works away from home. Again not very well. Another excuse! No, was it the Australian film. Kenny. No one checks their poo! If you eat carp. All I will say on the matter, except I know of others around my grinding stone that have underlying health issues such as heart and c. And I know mine. I don’t want my wheel tappers having to take time out because of it. I was not very well two year pass. I got it fixed. It hurt, I had no money, but I would not be grinding the corn today if I had not.

I for one of my twitter friends, who gets the kids to make meals from the near throw away rubbish in the emporiums and teach them how to make a meal of it. Just the same as year pass my beavers in eating fruit and making a proper sandwich!

    Some are beyond the pail!

Oh I said Kit Kat yesterday as well. Proper three fingered version on my apprenticeship. Now I did that for a reason. MHags take a break! You need one.

2 On break. Blow me cobblers! Me hearties! BoP and BoPsie are less than ten days from the Apple of Big! And the curtain, the ballet and the trip the lights fantastic on Broadway! More gloating from BoP later!

    Viva la republic!

Note to editors. BoPsie does not sleep in the shed!
