    Mine for today are:

Seeing some lovely rainbows today, weather has swung between rain and blinding sunshine.

Kids are currently tucking in very nicely to pasta, tom sauce and lots and lots of grated cheese. Even DS is feeding himself which is a revelation!!!

Finally getting chance to do some dusting/cleaning after last weeks painting marathon. I never realised how much it plays on my mind when I haven't done the dusting or put the vac round. Seeing all the tiny little bits on the floor (despite regular sweeping of laminate etc).

Having a sneaky surf this afternoon whilst DD was sleeping (after I'd done some cleaning of course!!! ;))

My lunch - tomato and pork sausages, onion marmalade and bread rolls. Was delicious :D
I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife :D Louise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.

  • Thanks for the kind words Olliebeak, it is a very confusing time.

1- bagging up £14 from the change jar
2- listing my first ever items for sale on ebay *crosses fingers*
3 - deciding not to get a takeaway curry tonight and gettting a much cheaper 'box' from M&S instead
4 - enjoying the warmth of the flat
5 - being pleased to have come back to MSE :)

    Hi all

Sparrer, good to see you back! Sending you (((((HUGS))))).

Here are my pleasures for today:

1 - Early morning preparation of sourdough for tomorrow baking

2 - Made DH sandwiches with yesterday's sourdough.

    3 - Aerobics

4 - Post-aerobics tea, sandwich and catch up with friend I had not seen for a while ( as I had not been at the usual Monday class).

5 - Free model haircut - wasn't terribly impressed at first by trainee's cut but supervisor intervened and did a much better job.

6 - Claimed £10 M&S voucher from a site that I fill surveys for. This, added to all the points I get with the M&S premium credit card, is going to pay for the best part of my Christmas shopping!

7 - TV licence and other documents arrived and I filed them straight away.

8 - Homemade baked beans preparations on course, 1Kg beans cooked, about to go down and make sauce, ready for freezing tomorrow morning.

9 - Planning hm baked beans on jacket spuds with veg sausages (shop-bought! Can'tmake EVERYTHING myself hehee!).

10 - Managed to catch up with enough work updates to be able to start the statistics work tomorrow, well ahead of deadline.

    Good night everybody xxx
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

  • (((((HUGS))))) to Sparrer and welcome back.

    Lovely day today:-

    1. House to myself first time for ages, disabled friend has gone to stay with another friend for a few days and DH went out.

    2. Leftover (from Sunday Dinner) cauliflower cheese for lunch.

    3. Making cards undisturbed.

    4. LO's (after visitors yesterday) for dinner tonight, another roast beef dinner for minimum effort.

    5. DD phoning to see if I want company in town tomorrow as she 'hasn't had me to herself' for a while. Ahhh, warms your heart doesn't it?

    Hello All

I hope everyone is well and not getting all these bugs that seem to be going around!!

    Mine for today -

1 Only putting on 1 lb at the weigh in - that was a relief after all the hob nobs I have eaten the last few days!!!

2 Sun shinning just in time for final school run of the day

3 Popping onto the flylady thread and doing everything on the list for Monday (parent group cancelled so I had all afternoon to clean with the help of dd and ds2)

4 Making a roast for tea and after 3 months of not being able to get my yorkie puds right, it worked today. I was well chuffed - was even better than the mil's!!!!

5 Got an evening of knitting planned. I am really enjoying knitting my scarf, dont know what I will do when its finished.

    Evening All :D

Wasn't on the thread yesterday as I'd had a mishap whilst coughing. Not to give TMI but it was in the lady department  Sorted now courtesy of my lovely GP and 3 months of lifting excercises :o My five for today are:

    1. My great doctors - I rang at 8am and was seeing the doctor by 10am

    2. My best friend came round this afternoon for a chat - we ended up talking the hind legs of several donkeys & drinking several pots of tea hi5.gif

    3. I have been addicted to playing games on Facebook for the last few [STRIKE]weeks[/STRIKE] ages actually and was pleased today when I was speaking to some other friends who are exactly the same sillywink.gif

    4. The family all appreciated the tea I made - quite simple meatballs and spaghetti - and all thanked me.

    5. Laughing at a silly advert on the tv.

Hugs to all that need one at the moment & I hope that you all have a pleasant evening xxx
