I hope Mhags has sorted her smalls. You never know ...

5 Had a good day with BoPsie inn London yesterday. The gallery us a bit useless, non of the pictures had prices on them. We really wanted a Turner for the front room. It would llook nice near the fire.

4 We had brunch at the gallery, devilled kidneys, fish and chips, and knickerbocker glory. Rhubarb version. Proper food. Though nowhere to get a cup of tea. Eventually found one, though they tried to boil the milk. Avoid.:(

3 Just had poached salmon, with home made parsley sauce, minted new tatties, and peas. Proper food.

2 Pearl week continues now with BoPsie, poor thing her legs have gone, getting excited as thirty plus one day is near. Oh, and tonight BoP thirst asked her out. It was a Wednesday!

    You sort it by walking

    Walking keeps you apart.

You sort it actually by talking!

We are still here. Another sunset and another sunrise.

I slept on and off, awake when OH was awake , which seemed often.

I've had a shower so feeling fresher and another load in washing machine to keep me topped up in clean undies! ( no hand washing DFV a fully equipped laundry room for patients / carers to use...I could even iron if I so desired but have not desired! )

So much kindness and gentle care around always.

So we start another day and see what it brings x

Even I've done some ironing today, MHags, and sewn up the hem of a pair of work trousers - it won't happen again for a while! Hope Monday goes smoothly for you.

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Porridge for breakfast.

    3) Listened to the Archers here and there.

    4) Croome NT all afternoon. Sons like the RAF bits best so had lunch in the canteen, found 3 more geocaches, wandered about for over an hour. Went on FB to see that my sister had also been there all afternoon but we had not seen her!

    5) Big tea of HM wedges (potato and sweet potato), baked beans and yesterday's pizzas. Then ice cream for sons. Then HM flapjacks.

    6) Had an end of half term mad dash to light fire, hoover then steam floors, put washing away, iron etc.

    7) Bigger son not too bad today.
  • The last ironing I did was back in 2005,:rotfl: I know this as it’s when we got married…Since then it’s not to say we have walked around looking creased and crumpled:o, I just don’t find it therapeutic.

(Said in a very small voice) I quite like ironing.
No, I am not offering to do anyone else's. I enjoy listening to music as I do it.
Having a steam generator iron makes it a lot more enjoyable as well.

Not much else to add. Tried a very expensive beauty treatment earlier, free to review, of course.
It felt like reconstituted egg white. When I read the label I discovered it was.
45 years ago my mum's magazines recommended painting that on as an instant facelift. It tightens the skin as it dries, which was the USP of this stuff. Except that you wash this off after half an hour.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
