    I iron reluctantly.

    1. Watching rugby. Interesting finding out the rules of the game!

    2. DS2 cooked a roast. It was lovely.

    3. Seeing more daffodils out - well two more.but others may be out soon.

    4. Reading more of my book.

    5. Listening to the birds while I cleaned the chicken coop.

I always iron at home and enjoy ironing as long as I've something to watch or listen to . I don't really understand how people don't iron !
However as I have been using the tumble drier here and folding as its still warm and then it's getting put in an overnight bag it doesn't need ironed. I was really just remarking the laundry facilities are so good here that you can iron!

It's 7pm and we are still here.

Music therapist sang ' sweet child of mine ' and ' Loch Lomond' whilst strumming his guitar . Made me cry!

    Nice chat with social worker.

Kids all in at various times. Uni started back today .

It's been hot outside ...I've been wearing a cardigan as aircon is so cool!

After a day of much restlessness OH is finally settled. It's been one of my most difficult days.

Onwards....see how we get on through the night.
    X

    Have a good Monday :)

Battled to connect anything here mhags and have just managed mob.
Can see most of your post:-) which was whole point of multi attempts.

This morning's & hugs are honey-on-buttery-crumpets ones, with usual black green tea.

    Gentle dreams for you both.

p.s. &'s a bit of an iron maiden, even to fairly often extent of rugby club tea towels, noted in disbelief on rtn. Not last w/e though, nor last night. Spent equal of ironing time untwirling them from line and picking out twigs and leaves.

Delurking just to send gentle, caring thoughts to mhags. Your amazing strength awes me always.

Pleasures rather thin on the ground here but will pull myself together and count my many blessings.
    1. My family
    2. The ginger ninja - has been very poorly indeed but turned the corner properly now. Good to see him barking at the postman today (never thought I'd say that).
    3. My garden - tiny but so green in a bleak place.
    4. The sky - ever changing, always lovely.
    5. Friends - how very lucky I am.

As always, thoughts are with Mhags and family, Rosie and Tilly particularly want to send special licks to Haggis.
Safe journey DD and enjoy your trip.
My name is Lainey and I like ironing, there, confession made!

    Some pleasures for the weekend,

Early up on Saturday morning, time taken over first cuppa of the day.
Watching Rosie dog tackle what was basically half a tree, size matters with my big girl and she only likes the biggest sticks.
3 Points on the road for the U's, pleasure as DB and DN were there.

    And for Sunday,

Birthday celebrations, lovely Capt S knows me so well and treasure haul included 3 books by R Hobb, heaven.
Lunch out at waterside pub, too blowy for walk so just had to stay in and eat, it's a tough life :)
Remains of afternoon then spent lolling of sofa, watching I Morse reruns and dozing off.
My lovely family and friends, blessed indeed.

  • 5 It is that day, between one event and another. You see BoP, being the knight in shining armour, thirst caught the ye of BoPsie in the January of ’86. It was when BoP had the bucket on the Wednesday late February that he managed to woo her. And within the year BoP and BoPsie were wed. Proper job down with the registrar. You pay your money and get you bit of paper!
4 Enough of that. Now back at the mill, and chief millwright has muted there is a bucket load of hay coming our way, and it is time to line the pockets. Looks like BoP will be making hay for a while yet.
3 BoPsie is in town today. Now BoP, as readers are aware, has waited year on year for his train set. I wander!
2 Nite for others, BoP is inn the gymnasium wear his pink tuti for his pack of six. You know you want to see it. More later.
    And tomorrow!

to add to the ironing debate. I put it off as long as possible, then set to it whilst watching or listening to something on ipad. Then find it wasn't so bad and that i should do it more regularly. then don't :rotfl:

    Happy Birthday, Lainey.

    Pleasures for yesterday

    1. Managed a bit of a lie in.
    2. favourite breakfast of sourdough toast, avo and topped with a slice of bacon. OH cooked dinner later of roast beef
    3. load of washing done and partially dried on the line.
    4. OH gave the lawn it's first mow
    5. Sorted out pictures for a photo book I bought OH a voucher for at christmas. Ordered it today - the voucher runs out tomorrow. :T
I wanna be in the room where it happens
