Good afternoon everyone
1. My elderly pooch is well and happy and there were no puddles during the night
2. I managed to wash my hair this morning
3. The blackbird is very happy with the wrinkly apple I chopped up and put out for them
4. Bluetits are picking up dog hair from a bunch I left in the wall basket - will make a nice cosy nest
5. After wind and rain earlier the sun has almost broken through
My life isn't so bad after all......0 -
1) I've got Maisie doggie ALL DAY and we went for a lovely sunny walk and now she's curled up on her bean bag fast asleep. She goes from strength to strength with He Who Knows (she's very shy of men) and even goes to him and touches his hand with her nose for a stroke, love her to bits!
2) Walking up to the surgery this morning for a blood test I turned a corner on the estate I walk through and in the front garden was a most beautiful clump of very early purple irises, they are such elegant flowers!
3) Walking with Maisie and Cookie this morning I counted 30 different species in bloom (includes the wild ones) which is pretty amazing for February.
4) He Who Knows continues to improve and isn't in nearly as much discomfort as he was at the end of last week thank goodness (and the NHS).
5) Lovely photos sent by DD2 of little Orley wide awake this morning and looking very sweet! love those grandsons!!!0 -

Thinking of you all Mhags, your strength shines through in your posts, so glad you have support.
BOP, glad Jenny beats on.
1.Poorliness just in the form of temperatures, sore throat, head, has also caused a pain flare, I flung open the windows to air the place. The pleasure being we don’t need to fend it off for work, but in a fluffy wrap, tunes for throat from stock and painkillers, with a tea.
2.Despite the lurgy managed to get 2 washing loads done and hung out on the line in this wonderful weather, but didn’t get anything else done, but I am sure it will still be there tomorrow:rotfl:.
3.The birds enjoying their food, and the yellow and purple crocus’s up in the garden.
4.Dinner tonight is from batch cooking the lasagne last week, so nice to be able to eat “proper” food when not feeling up to cooking this forums habits have taught me so much.:D
5. Re meal planned based on the fridge contents, I am going to have to do a proper chinese fakeaway this week, serious cravings.:o0 -
A quick collection.
1. Cooking at midnight - almost! The reason being I wanted to try a recipe in a lovely new cookbook - and duly did. As a result...
2. Lovely flatbreads to munch for a very late supper and for brunch today. I put the very simple recipe in to my review.
3. The pleasure of a cup of coffee made from freshly ground beans. Indian. I had no idea India had a coffee growing industry.
I was sent a coffee grinder/ spice mill to review last year and had just used it for pepper, today 6 bags of single origin beans arrived to review. I have Mexico, Vietnam and Malawi to try as well as more obvious locations like Cuba and Colombia.
4. Not blinding myself when I absentmindedly blew in to the mill to clean it of pepper dust - honestly! :rotfl::rotfl:
5. Your pleasures, thank you. Welcome to new faces.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0
