Raising a cuppa to Mhags early anniv celebrations, sorry it’s not a wine glass but I’m not drinking at the mo.
I/we overslept a vast amount, I think it was subliminal as we have a very early start tomorrow so making up for it.
Another load of washing put in and out on the line.
The weather was beautiful, I planted one of the pots with begonia bulbs we picked up from a cheap shop earlier this week while shopping for DF.:j
Popped out for an MSE boots order delivered to Boots to save postage, evening primrose, 3 for 2 and 50 percent off the order online and paid in boots points, can’t beat that.:money: but I do now have enough for 18 months!!!!:rotfl:
I have forgotten to food plan for today, now this could be an excuse for a takeaway, but the reality we just did the weekly shop and it was less than a takeaway coming in at £21. I always have fall back recipes choices are corned beef hash, omelette or wraps, but the request is for a hm lasagne so I am making lasagne, well 2 lasagnes always batch cook them for ease:o
Ohhh and bulbs from lidl there wonderful bulb packs for 1.29 if you don’t get their lilys as they come complete with red beetle.:)0 -

4) mr piano made lovely curry
5) then played a medley of Bowie and Thomas the tank engine. He makes me laUgh which is v good. Now he's off on a non date.

A quick collection.
1. Captain Guy Disney. I am a bit miffed that The Last Leg didn't highlight his achievement, but on reflection the Ch 4 current affairs/satirical programme has nothing to do with the Disabled community now, other than having two very good presenters who happen to have disabilities. Sad, because when it started it was our show, and it was brilliant. It's still brilliant, but it isn't our show any more.
2. Great night out at the monthly folk club in a local village.
3. Cooking a quick version of an old favourite, Onion, Bacon and Potato Hotpot
4. Using survey points to get Am@zon vouchers and pay for another pair of comfy, casual trousers.
5. All your pleasures but particularly the photos - and video! - Mhags shared on FB of the early Silver Wedding celebrations. Particularly the kilts. Much appreciated.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Quick pleasures for today.
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Sons went to their father's at 10 and will return on Weds. Several texts from smaller son.
3) Quickly did a few jobs (don't like to come home to the house in a complete state). Cleaned turtle tank out, stripped bunk beds, emptied bin and recycled and tackled washing up mountain.
4) Away to Oxfordshire to see my school friend. Stopped at Moreton in Marsh on the way but nothing doing in the charity shops there.
5) Friend helped me with my application form for Super Job. We also watched Casualty and she made duck pancakes then vienetta for my tea so all good!
6) In bed with 2 hwb (not long home) and will listen to Mark Steele again because I fell asleep listening to him the other night.
Hope you've had a great day, MHags, some very smart kilts today.0 -
DD. Good result, but the imps are ... I went shopping just now and we get the free paper and money off at w8rs. I normally use BoPsie card and get another, but not this week. Too much on the front covers!
5 Jenny is nearly 5 and her anniversary was this weekend. She is tested to the limits tomorrow. More later. See passim for notes about pink tickles.
4 Tea tonight we is having tikka chicken bits and salad.
3 Washed car when we got back. It is white again. Muck was everywhere.
2 That is the thirst anniversary over and done with. Next weekend is pearl!
As for the rest of you ...0 -
May I join you as need to focus more on the positives in life
1. Elderly pooch is well and happy and the floor was dry this morning
2. Two beautiful collared doves spent most of the day in my garden cooing and preening each other
3. The mini daffs are in full bloom and other shoots are appearing
4. I managed to "air my wheels" and post a card to a friend who is poorly
5. A perfectly poached egg with asparagus to dip in the yolk earlier
Life's not that bad after all..........:)0
