5 Millwrights have been at work and you should see the water race. Will be on the big train going nurff through WarsterShire soon for a night with the customer. Steak shall be eaten and usual rules will apply.
4 BoPsie has bin on the web thing and booked tickets for the French statue in the ginormous apple. Holiday is less than a hundred days now and only the ballet left to book. More later. Cannot believe I am flying over pond, at the same time as doing an engine controller for the kites as well!
3 Was in me vest and shorts last night with the pack of six sorted. The tutu needs washing.
2 Night Me and BoPsie will snoggle up and watch a film. We had as Cary Grant of Saturday and she went all stary eyed.
Do it from the outset, not from when someone else beckons you to do so0 -

4) Watched 24 Hours in A and E.
5) Tidied the house a bit before the chaps come tomorrow to mend the storage heaters.0 -
1.We popped out to Lidl with a shopping list, and only veered off to buy carabiners on their offer.:p
2.Home and made lunch out of the fresh bread.
3.Changed our bedding and fresh bedding on, and did the same for all of the animal areas.
4.I made HM lasagne, and one for the freezer, with salad and fresh bread from today’s shop.
5. Animals playing around like lunatics with us.0 -
* Kitchen and hall are now completely painted and dry. We love the colors I picked out. Whew! It's hard to plunk down three hundred dollars for paint and hope the the painted wall samples we tried look good on the entire surface. I know it is often said "it's only paint' but I don't hold to that because of the cost of both paint and labor. So very relieved! And happy!
* Things I ordered are coming in. Everything is so expensive but that old kitchen lasted 60 yrs. Maybe this one will last a long time too. I'm buying nice quality. Not the most expensive and I'm sale shopping like crazy but I think it's things that will really last. I've lived here 32 yrs and except for replacing the dishwasher and fridge nothing else has ever been done. The walls were wood paneling and only slightly darken than the cabinets. I cooked through raising six kids in that kitchen. It was hard used and held up well. But pretty it wasn't.
* Quoye is learning a few words of Spanish. "This is agua mom"
Why our public schools don't teach it equally with English is beyond me. Hispanics make up 48% of our state according to census records. It's higher than that because we have many many illegals that live in our state... many for a long long time...that can not turn in census information. We border Mexico.
My dear friend has been here for 23 yrs legally with a green card. Two of her sisters became citizens years ago. We all have convinced her to study for citizenship because of the current political climate. Better safe than sorry!
* Chile relleno casserole can be made in a crock pot. (Still no stove hooked up) Interesting texture but the flavor was great. I saw a recipe for roast chicken in the SC so I'll try that tomorrow night.
* Not so fuzzy headed today. Great sign!!
Note to BoP: I'll be in Gotham the third week in May.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

.
Mila, I've roasted chicken in a slow cooker and it's one of my favourite ways of cooking it. The meat falls off the bones, there is no waste and you get the loveliest concentrated meat jelly for stock, gravies or soups.
1. A fun and laughter filled night at the music club. One of our most popular performers had a mock stage invasion by his 'groupies' - underwear was thrown!Only snag being, thongs and G-strings have no weight, so several attempts at throwing were needed to get the underwear to the stage...
:rotfl:
Sadly I'd stopped videoing, I wish the girls had mentioned their plans.
The underwear hung from the mic stand for a while - I asked for it to be removed, as it was a slight distraction so it was duly plonked on the table in front of me. Which led to a good photo for the club FB page, at least.
2. Looking at my finances and then remembering - no water bill in February. £40+ extra to play with this month.
3. Heron had almost 2kg of 'cooking' bacon for £1.49. Some good meals ahead, I got some decent belly pork and already have the liver in for home - made faggots, yum.
4. Students doing well in practice exams means they are exam ready = income.
5. Your pleasures, thank you.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Morning all for the first time in an age.
Pleasures since whenever
1. I feel better - the chest infection was nasty, and lasted longer than necessaary. We have rubbish lungs in our family and everything settles there. But back up to speed now.:T
2. Clean sheets last night
3. Went to see Lion - fabulous film, and if you see it without wanting to adopt the little boy then you have no soul
4. DD came home for the weekend. We all went out for a meal in the pub and DS drove so OH and i had a few drinkies
5. The first of which got spilled by the waitress over my coat. The coat came clean in the wash and the first round of drinks was knocked off the bill
6. Getting more springlike at times out there.
7. Decorating is finished - I need to chalk paint the shoe cupboard which will be done this weekend.
8. Lunch with friend yesterday

3) New storage heaters were fitted! First heat downstairs (apart from fire) for 4 years!
4) Tasty Quorn pie for tea with cous cous and corn on the cob. Then baked apples with the last of the mincemeat from Christmas.
