Not contributed to this thread for a while, but I do love reading everyone's pleasures and feel it helps to 'ground' me sometimes, so thank you.

2. Leftover cheese and crackers for lunch were really quite tasty
3. My mum came over to play wth DS whilst I nipped out for an hour to do some chores with two hands, then we had a nice cuppa and chat before I carried on working
4. Hm pizza and wedges for dinner
5. Clean pjs on after a big bath with DS so been in them since 5pm oops!0 -

1. Walked to the bus for work. My boss agreed I could be slightly late so I had an extra hour before catching the bus.
Work was surprisingly busy but only worked half a day as it was overtime.
2. Enjoyed the walk and pleased to see that a fence has been put round a gate. Last Saturday there was just a gate in the middle of a field which looked very surreal.
3. Enjoyed a cup of coffee when I arrived home. Sitting, relaxing with a coffee is always a pleasure especially after a walk in the cold.
4. DS1 phoned to check we were all ok and to let DS2 know about traffic problems. He had a busy day as lots of his colleagues couldn't get in to his branch so they went to a branch near them. He also popped into my parents to see them on his way home.
5. Tidied a couple of cupboards out. They are tidy now and much decluttered. Hopefully it will be a while before more rubbish gets put in there!!0 -
1) Lovely skype with DD2, Zebra and baby Orley yesterday. Poor Zebra has picked up another bug from nursery and is running a high temperature but baby is thriving and putting on weight. He seems to be a very contented little man and I think he's going to be 'jolly'!
2) No Cookie dog walk yesterday as she'd gone off to be made beautiful and get a haircut so I walked with Sue and Charlie retriever in the sunshine which was lovely.
3) A robin sitting in the sun on top of a hedge at the bottom of the road singing his little heart out in the sunshine, his little red yummy blazing in the light.
4) Good game of rugby on the TV yesterday Leinster vs Montpelier which resulted in a mega win for Leinster, very watchable game despite the disparity on paper in the scores.
5) Jumble sale in the village hall this morning.....I do love a good jumble sale!0 -
1. sooo glad its Friday
2. went to see Doc about my neck, my hands and my foot ! Everything else in between is ok

1. Mhags' lovely sweet pea posy talk. As per posts passim, & does not do well with sweet peas here. Wish 'twas otherwise. Reading that reminded me I'd not alerted dear neighbour to last night's rtc emporium lily dropoff at door. Have now&she's so pleased:-) £10 down to 59p!
2. Must prep. hungry birdies' special brekkie, another emporium rtc, free range scotch egg pork pie. Alerted by exiting fellow emporium phan:-) They had bricks of it, 9p per 100g. Took one, NOT an &eat. It's a Marmite loathe for &. Never tried it, don't like it:-) but yday's flocking feathers will.
3. Snow apparently fell 2-3hrs in town of horse at go to work time. &surprised. Had commented "None here" in jeweller's and was graphically corrected. Mostly sunny chez &.
4. Liking new2me car being warm, pleasing drive. Again, so grateful to fenboys, also re: price, again declared Unbelievable by friend and knowledgeable son. Friend will be Meriva's 1st passenger when we do bogof Monday lunch:-)
5. Titchner chickens coming home to roost? We can hope:-)and gender reassignment for JustinE, DD :-)
5.supplementary for skint. Have a day-off Saturday instead:-)CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

nearly found myself feeling sorry for Rob, but remembered pronto that it is nothing less than he deserves
Having a break from finally finishing photos kondoing.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Finally got hair done, having forgotten my appointment last week. They rang an hour into my appointment to tell me I'd missed it. When I said "ooh I wish you'd phoned an hour ago, I would have come straight away" I was told they couldn't do that as they were busy. Not sure how that works....
2. Chicken and apricot casserole for tea, so not too much prep as was from the freezer. It freezes well
3. Getting all the info back on my computer, articles, chapters written everything got deleted in a refresh. Warning do NOT refresh your computer, it deletes it all with no warning. Thank goodness it wasn't as bad as it could have been (I have backed it all up in two places, so it wasn't the end of the world but was a bit scary to see it had all gone and would have been a pain to restore)
4. Lovely wine, port and the last of the Christmas cheese
5. Started reading my new Bill Bryson "the road to little dribbling". Laugh out loud funny :rotfl:
Have a good dayI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
5 Usual BoP rules for SatDay. Mushrooms, snorker, best back, toast, buttered, star cut grilled toms, poached egg and tea. Rubbing of Tum occurred!
4 Out with new toys, tested. Was waiting for the other toy till end of month, but price rocketed overnight. BoPsei was set off, and not one to be in the way when bar gun hunting. Got at original price, BAR GUN and goit mcash back as well. Better in pockets of BoP and BoPsie than some greasy palm. Cash is being counted.
3 Just done the SatDay feast fec foir tonight. Usual foods, proper stuff. none of the emporium cardbored water stuff. Tonight is Sticky chickens, dynamite mushrooms and dragon prawns. Tun shall be rubbed.
2 Nite the wobbleades for BoP is chilling. BoP is chilled.
There is a way back, if you drop crumbs on your way0 -
1. I was wearing a Christmas present jumper of a very soft fleece and one of the animals decided I was good enough to cuddle up on, to the point of she got down had some food and drink then came back up.:o:o
2. Popped to L3dls for DF’s shop and 1 of their offers on the xxl of sausages.
3. We popped out as we needed a change of view, so went to the next town over that has good cheap shops and cs’s, picked up some Christmas tinsel for 10p, and some other very cheap bits and bobs, erm, Aero biscuits for 50p. We know the fruit and veg stand lady to banter with and I was pondering as we have a fair amount, she shouted over at me saying we aren’t fussed out what we have, which was met with rude comments from me, to which she produced a 4.5kg cabbage, which I gladly took off her hands for nothing. When I got in I realised it doesn’t fit anywhere, I am currently looking at various recipes for stuffing the cabbage leaves, it’s going to have to sit on the side for a bit to be included in every meal.:rotfl:
4. Started checking out which garden bulbs we have, it looks like it will be Bergonia’s this year.:)
5. Still a lot of Christmas things to use up, last of the hm chirstmas pud tonight, oh twist my arm..:T
6. There was a fair bit of snow for a few hours Thurs and it’s cold enough it’s still about, not much left now but it’s still at the edges of the roads and icy.0 -
