Walking very painful at the moment as I have got a corn on inside of my little toe, very ouchy. Doc has agreed can use corn treatment (not supposed to be for diabetics per packet) and so started that ... foot throbbing must be the acid doing its job
3. an afternoon of Death in Paradise too DD ... and Midsomer murders
4. had a tidy round, loaded and unloaded the dishwasher twiceand put away washing so the kitchen is a bit tidier
5. watched a Nicholas Cage film on tv The Frozen Ground ... his films are a bit hit and miss ... this one was ok if a bit gruesome ... a day of murderous tv !0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

The best part of today I think was my tea. A baked potato with tuna.
Today has been spent all day in hospital. Our local one . OH being kept in overnight, they have no access to his notes, his history anything. Very unimpressed ! Very frustrated ...which was shared with A&E consultant. However tomorrow is another day, I will be there from 8am and shall be politely kicking some backsides! ( at our Cancer hospital)
Kids all came in at various times. Son really not in his comfort zone in hospitals ...it's okay son you don't have to stay...okay! Bye! He did buy me some M&Ms though
Hospital is directly across road from train station , which is 8 minutes away from ours and a 5 minute walk! Home in less than 20 minutes from leaving ward! Result!
Sun was shining but not too hot.
DD1 made my tea whilst I chatted to sister and then watched Casualty. Just going to call SIL then bed and tomorrow will indeed be a new day!
Have a good one!0 -
Now BoP has lost fifty pounds and I am not talking inches either!
5 Down while wearing the pink tutu fruity this morning in the gym, BoPsie manage dto get her padlock corrupted. Fore tune happly BoP being so skilled in such things and from a year or so back whili8e collecting insects and maggots, remembered how to get into her locks. Soon had her lock soreted. Just curious as to why they have pink things in their changing room!
4 Then it was offski to the emporium w8rz. Got her some fuel de tarte for next weekend. Got some pie and other nice things as well. I am crumbling a decent tart of jam the now! Tum is rubbed!
3 Tea tonight is cheap pot of leek and pot soup, then pasty that was made before Christmas, served with fresh veg and pan gravy. Christmas pud with instant lumpy custard. Tum shall be rubbed vigorously Proper foods.
2 Nigh BoP will be putting his slippers on.

Artnoon - putting off doing the hoovering
Pleasures for yesterday
1 kondoing and sorting photos, was going well until I found another box today
2 tidied office. Moved some things that we don't use, but might In the future (well, OH might - if it was up to me I'd bin them) into 2 cupboards where I had created empty shelves. This has freed up the open shelves. It's looking good in there now and hopefully I won't mind working in there
3. Did the shopping in allidi. Because I am trying to use stuff up and OH isn't eating at home for three days this week, it only cost £56. And that included wine and some rtc Christmas cakes that have gone in the freezer
4 yummy food all day (until I was a bit naughty when cutting up the Christmas cakes) including yet more left over takeaway curries from the freezer for tea.
5 the boys went to the footie so I had an evening in alone - candles lit, glass of wine (or two), and tripe on the telly :rotfl: happy days....:D (as opposed to Happy Days)
Have a great evening allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
1) Found a lovely cowl necked jumper in the sale at the garden centre for £15 down from £35 now hanging in my wardrobe!
2) Successful trip to toyshop to find some Duplo blocks for Zebra for his birthday in a couple of weeks.
3) Fantastic haul at the jumble sale yesterday including a Trike for the garden here when the grandchildren are here for £1.....amazing!
4) Cookie and I walked today in the gap between periods of rain, hoorah for He Who Knows weather ap which is actually accurate!
5) Counted 21 species of plant in flower on our walk, pretty darned good for January!0 -
Mhags, thinking of you. How frustrating, I can't believe how difficult it seems to be to create one consolidated bit of vital information. to get all of the hospitals talking together.
A very lazy, but enjoyed Sunday.
1. I was thinking about buying a new top I have had my eye on for months the excuse various interviews next week, however, I slapped my own wrists and looked at the not buying clothes thread, coupled with I have clothes, I found a black roll neck which will be fine.:o
2. Mesmerised from my sofa spot I can watch the moon rising over the trees.
3. Thank you to MSE again, today I cancelled one of our internet dongles, which more than covers the price of a new Sky broadband deal, then used the code to sign us up to Sky. We are keeping one dongle going just in case Sky goes wrong, but I am looking forward to unlimited use again to be able to stream some films.:money:
4. I spent some time reading an interesting money saving blog, but while interesting to read didn’t feel like I learned new ideas either. I also read up on healthy eating to re check some food and portion sizing.
5. Dinner was mash, sprouts, broccoli, carrot and cabbage with a spot of a mini pork joint for good measure.
6. About to spend some time getting the cv about and applying again, working on the theory it works it’s way back up to the top of the list over the weekend.
7. We have been able to bid on and win a disabled access ramp for DF to be able to access the garden in his wheelchair. We won it today and it has cost £202 but if it was new, you can add another zero to that it’s shocking. DH and I are in the process of trying to sort logistics, it looks like we will need to travel down in 2 cars to take it apart.
8. Last of the Christmas pud later with the last of the cream.0 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday).
1) A lie in.
2) Bigger son helped me dismantle the cooker for an hour. Finally managed to remove the regulator for one of the rings (it's so old, it's made from Bakelite!) Then we wired it all back up and switched it on. 3 rings working. Turned the oven on - fused again! So a man is coming to fix it tomorrow. :-(
3) Fed the hens.
4) Bigger son went to his friend's.
5) Went to Sainsburys.
6) Lots of strange food cooked with no cooker.0 -
Evening all
Five pleasures since last I posted:
1. Listening to Dorothy Sayers biography on audiobook.
2. Spent all of Friday afternoon in two academic libraries just reading some very enjoyable stuff. Haven't done that in a while.
3. Absolutely massive amount of decluttering paperwork and shredding this weekend. It doesn't look as if I've made any inroads into the mire but I know that at some point it will start to show.
4. Also, tidied up a complete set of bookshelves and refiled all my gardening stuff which sits on the top of said shelves. Seed packets are all in order.
5. Another few NSDs. Since I've been on my own all weekend and since we have had enough milk, I have been eating out the fridge and freezer, especially hm frozen meals. That means that I have only spent money on one day this year so far.I'll probably shop again tomorrow or Tuesday though.
Sweet dreams

4) gbf and I went to Homebase (which has a little Laura ashely in it) to pick up sample of Laura Ashley wallpaper I've already ordered for the guest room feature wall. They are closing the The LA bit boohoo. But good news for me - ready made curtains which match the wallpaper £85 rather than £250!
5) now in bed with an ice pack on my knee. BlissMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
