Hello ....moany McMoanface here....it's too hot!
Though I have been in hospital all day . Was walking back down our lane exactly 12 hours after I'd walked up it this morning. Just got the train each time ...having being aiming for the next one each time.
Still in local hospital. I can't fault care ...it's just not our hospital.
DD1 came in to visit...bringing supplies of food! Picnic whilst OH had a CT.
Being aware of the birds, the flowers , the trees as I walked up to station this morning whilst still cool and fresh and then in reverse on way home ( whilst slightly melting)
Reading a borrowed from cancer hospital book...bit hard to follow at times but am persevering.
Have a good Monday0 -
1) Bargains in the RTC section at Mr.T this morning of loin pork steaks and roast beef from the deli counter and also some stilton and brie which I'll be taking to DD2 when we visit on Wednesday to see the new baby.
2) Lots of hugs with Orley on Wednesday!!!
3) Met a lovely venerable old Fell Hound when I was walking Cookie today, 13 years old and still going strong she's lovely!
4) Nice local council gave us another garden refuse bag for free as the one we have is shredding.
5) Beautiful rosemary bush covered in the brightest of blue flowers in a border of one of the houses we walked past, definitely the cheeriest thing seen on such a dreary day as today.0 -
Mhags: Glad today was a tiny bit better than yesterday.
Mrs LW: A wonderful rtc haul there for DD2, I am looking forward to trying my luck later this week.
What a night and day! DH came down very poorly last night, all night, hot, cold, shivering and everything else that goes with, I spent the night awake for him, but dropped into a deep sleep for about an hour just as the alarms went off. I left him in bed and got up and started to clear and tidy up and air the place a bit, but while it feels like the Med in here to me, he is freezing so it’s all closed it up again.
1. Cheeky one for yesterday -Sherlock, I don’t think I could ever get enough of this series, I adore it.
2. Received a few calls about roles and spent time talking and applying.
3. Washing up and laundry loads done, the pleasure being they are out of the way.
4. I couldn’t remember what I had meal planned today but glad I obviously got it out as it’s in the fridge and a nice easy rtc well free as it went through on a 3 for 2 while reduced meal with leftovers.
5. A daft but simple pleasure, the fridge is fairly empty for the first time since Dec, it’s lovely, apart from fresh veg, we have everything frozen.0 -
Pm to bop it's all gone quiet over there:p
Waves and hugs to all, antipodean and um podean? Currently have 4 friends visiting oz and nz and another 4 visiting Spain. Gbf goes to Cyprus Wednesday. I am stuck in the house again
1) managed to get an emergency appointment for 1/2 way through teaching
2) lovely Saudi student insisted on coming with me. Just as well cos 3 steps into carpark Leg gave way very painfully and I ended up on the gravel. I fear I swore on the way down
3) 2 other students rushed out, one got car and drove m to drs. Honestly it's a 4 min walk tops when fit!
4( then they got me a wheelchair and wheeled me to doc then to nurse for tubigrip. Torn soft tissue probs when I slipped on the ice Thursday.
5) then they drove me home via the chemist. 1 had never experienced the nhs. Was dead impressed they got given a chocolate at the chemist. I didnt say I think that's a xmas thing :rotfl:MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Evening all
Five pleasures for Monday:
1. Saying hello to the pigs in a farmyard I was visiting this morning.
2. Very silly time editing a document with someone else - lots of laughter.
3. Got the week's food shop done. Can still account for every bit of cash spent this year.
4. Baked spuds, mackerel and green salad for supper with the second Xmas mango with Greek yoghurt for pud, The first mango was perfect at Xmas, the second has taken all this time to approach anything like ripeness but it was worth it.
5. Falling asleep in the armchair in front of the woodstove, hence the lateness in posting this.
Sweet dreams

1. I have been with everyone, via livestream, saying farewell to Aunt{Margaret Kirton, good aberdonian christian names , mhags] beneath saltire and beautiful sheaf of golden roses, laughter with the tears and strong lilting Caledonian the only music and song. How beyond grateful I am that, again, oldest enzed school friend was there for me. Only I now hold the pre-marriage, pre-cousin memories. This has affected me much more than I might have imagined. For Uncle, only 112 days ago, the heavens opened. For Aunt, the sky blazed her fave blue.
2. Meriva sulking since Sunday - battery things? - resorting to Vxhl forum again. Fenboy coming later. Luckily offered ride to Church half-way on Sunday - meant less sodden and on time. Was running-ish, hearing bells from afar and day was foul and wet.
3. A Ripley moment. Believe it or not - &'s rhubarb is on the way up again!!!
4. Scotsdales bogof lunch was lush. Divine lamb stew, with light herby scone, baby rosti's and very lush flash-steamed vegs. It was all really scrummy, and sustenance was required because....
5. Oh dear![not] De-crimboing was going on like mad. Would have been rude not to etc.etc.... Lots of amazings - 90% off even applied to previous sale prices. But & found what & had held as id!e fixe: a good heather to grow for Aunt. Done.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

In brief as way past bedtime:
1-50 transferred to Cancer hospital
We have received more than adequate care at local hospital but the lack of shared knowledge was a concern...thankfully I'm more than able to tell them what's what.
Rode up front in the ambulance!
Friend picked me up.
Dog and 2 children in front garden waiting for me!
DD1 regaling me with tales from work....4 folk fired today! Much to tell.
& remember to be kind to yourself x

Morning all
Ampersand, so glad you could have some part in the funeral
Pleasures for Sunday
1. OH finished the painting - it's a lovely restful green. We don't want to put the furniture back
2. More photo sorting, till i found more and got disheartened. Although there are some truly gorgeous pictures of me and DS when he was a cute and compliant toddler - rather than a mouthy 17 year old.
3. Gammon in coke for tea, with the (roast) trimmings and plenty left to have cold tomorrow
4. Watched walking the Americas with Levison Wood and Sherlock with DS :rotfl:
5 Finished the christmas cheese and port
And for yesterday
1. Working in my lovely tidy office, with tea lights and candles for warmth
2. A colleague came by with some more marking, the marking is not the pleasure. The colleague is
3. Chalk painted the first coat on my bookcase to go back in the dining room.
4. Moved the table and chairs back into the dining room. I have missed eating at the table with no TV. How do people cope who eat all their meals on their knees, gawping at the tv?
5. Cold gammon, chips, peas and pickles for tea - like Boxing Day
have a goodun allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
And jic I forget!
