I was going to tell one but thought I'd wait til the dust settled :D

Tut... you should be ashamed of yourself!!:p:D
    Man plans and God laughs...
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Shadowsfall, I found that when bread was giving me trouble it was more or less a yeast, rather than wheat, problem. Eating sourdough and very good quality long, slow fermented breads solved all my "bready" problems.

Thanks for sharing your exp. I will give Sourdough a try - always fancied making it! Well done also on your facial - I really want one!

    4) A slightly guilty pleasure - deciding I'm not going to a charity event a friend invited me to tonight. She's only invited me to stop her getting into a row with her ex when they've both had a few drinks, and I'm just not in the mood to be a one-person peace-keeping force tonight.

Good decision made me thinks! Thanks for the 'well done' btw :)

    4) Pup can now do 'sit' and give his paw...at only 11 weeks!

Just had to say how sweet that is. My doglet is 2 now and I'm still discovering what clever things she can do. Clever and also rather naughty!

    1) The issue with my cleaner has come to an amusing end. I sent her a letter threatening legal action and she paid up... in 2p coins! I don't care as long as I have got my money. She send me a text saying "You think you are so clever don't you. Have paid the money through your letterbox. Keep the change". Hilarious... batty old fruitcake!

Silly woman. I suppose she thought she got one up on you... little does she know! Well done for winning the battle! ;)

    So on to my pleasures:

    1. Going to a Mediumship circle tonight, first time I've visited a circle to partake, normally go see a friend of mine to get a reading. Really looking forward to it. Been something I've felt I should do for a long time. :)
    2. Seeing my little nanny just before that, always bustling about and mumbling - very sweet. :rotfl:
    3. Know I'm going to the Osteopath with OH Sat - my neck literally can't wait! Just under £50, but well WELL worth it!
    4. The skies are blue and have been for days... this isn't Britain!?
    5. Laughing with OH last night about silly things and having a playfight :D

Have a great day everyone! :T

    My 5 for yesterday:

    1. Delicious curry with my friend.

    2. Half day at work - always good!

    3. Taking Willow to the vet for her health check and hearing that she's fit, healthy and well. Although grumpy at being stuffed in a cat basket!

    4. Another lovely sunny day here in Bristol. The city looks fabulous in the spring sunshine.

    5. Hearing that there's a good chance that my friend's friend may want to rent my house when I go away.

    Have a good day, everyone!

    3) Took my product trial bag of crisps into work for everyone to share as there was no way I was going to be able to eat that lot on my own even if I wasn't on a diet. (And I'm very glad I didn't have more than the half dozen I tasted for the product trial - they were painfully salty and I've spent the whole afternoon drinking endless glasses of water in a futile attempt to stop feeling thirsty.)

    .
I was surprised yesterday to see an ad for Kellogs new chocolate fibre bars.. I trialled these and found them incredibly salty and I am someone with a love of salty foods including anchovies.. the combo with chocolate was just weird.. it wasnt the oats and choc but the salt they must have added.. why add salt to them? I cant imagine anyone homebaking similar adding salt..

That does sound odd. I usually use salted butter when making cakes (just because I'm too lazy to go out and buy unsalted :o), but adding enough salt to make the bars actually taste salty is really strange, and probably really unhealthy, too.

I'm another one who loves salty foods (mmm, anchovies! :D) but I'm still suffering from the after-effects of the crisps I ate yesterday. There were a lot left in the bowl I put out at work, too, which proves they're not good - usually my locust-like colleagues clear unhealthy snacks within minutes. :rotfl:

sparrer - that was a truly dreadful joke. Made me smiley-laughing002.gif though.

Edit to add - Kittikins - that's even worse! smiley-laughing002.gif

savingforoz - I'm glad your Willow's OK, if not very happy. It reminds me of the time I took my cat to the vet and he somehow managed to brace himself inside the box so even when the vet picked the box up and turned it on end my cat still didn't come out. I had to take the box apart in the end as the only way of extracting the cat.

Ladyhawk- I'm glad you got your money back, even if in a rather strange form. A quick trip to the bank to get it changed into something more useful might be in order, I feel. :) Hope you have a nice trip to Wales.

niksyg - :T to your pup - what a clever dog!

GirlySquare - good luck with your interview today. Fingers crossed all goes well (I'm sure it will).

Have a nice day, all - I s'pose I should go and do some work... :(;)
Back after a very long break!

    Ahhahaaaaaa :rotfl:Brilliant!

My 5 OS for the day:

-Hung the washing up outside on the line
-Washed out two handwash bottles- got my eye on these for shampoo and condition portion control
-Defrosted left over pasta for dinner as OH is out
-Will try to get my running shoes on tonight and make the most of this wonderful weather (and try to lose 3kg before the end of June!)
    -Check online banking

Hope you all have a lovely sunny (and not volcanic!) day
