  • 1) Morning visit from friend who left NI at the same time as we did but has been down in the South. We had our kids at the same time so it was great to catch up.
    2) The tidiest plasterer in the world (thank you Mark)
    3) A very reasonable quote to plaster the sunroom as well (and they will do it next week
    4) No trip to Salford Royal so I got quite a lot of the shopping done for our silver wedding party on Saturday
    5) 72 wine glasses and 72 champagne flutes borrowed from Tesco for free for Saturday

    6) And living in a place where if you not only forget to lock your back door but, as it appears I did last night, actually leave it wide open all night (!!!) no-one comes in and takes anything.

DD: Skype supervision, just fantastic, when I used Skype previously it had a habit of turning the visual on.

The interview didn’t pan out sadly but onwards and upwards, I am totally employable and immediately available.:rotfl:
    1. House tidying is making noticeable leeway at the moment.
    2. The animals just ran out of their favourite treat so I popped online to pay and lovely to see I have some money in the paypal account so no worries.:D
    3. DH took me out, we had originally planned to enjoy a film however half term hell from our point of view put pay to that and we ended up perusing the shops and getting some offers in.
    4. Really nice to properly put thought into food and drink making sensible choices.:o
    5. I am trying “mindfulness” and I have to say I feel like it works.:)

    3. So much happening, but Spits ever more essential. Means & can offer support. So, &obile loaded, readied:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:for Spits come 2 bells. Will leave earlier than usual as fog was supercharged thicketty-thick this a.m. All sorts crammed on board. Who knows? No-one ever knows :D That's one of the joys.....or can be, after a reasonable day. Swarmed by ladybirds, all variants, while working at storage this arvo. &'s sessile oak leaves are now falling with concentrated effort.

    4. Battled through robotic admin-speak  , as a customer, spending real &£s, and hope some Oz Green and Gold has made it through. Cut flowers permitted - 1 supplier. Cards not. Praying that scent of eucalyptus is close to someone today.

    5. Morning, night, through the day - still & has beloved Uncle's smiling birthday pic. Lifeblood times.

    6. Picking more salad leaves most days from the rtc emporium trug, now in 2 verdant troughs. Pick and nibble as I pass, too.

    7. More in way of an EMPORIUM HEADS-UP.
Insider info last week: from 1 Nov., free paper Mon-Fri will require £10 spend, doubling current £5. No change to free drinkies t's &c's. Was amused and pleased to meet local Mr T mgr in emporium as genuine shopper y'day. & was buying more whole blanched almonds, 16p cheaper per 100g than all others.

    8. Coping with wisdom tooth/jaw. Roll on 4 Nov. More tabs in a mo. Munch, then book and byes. Heard sthg Hurrchhrs-y, briefly, today. Don't even know all the voices any more.

  • Relax folks. BoP is up and down. On big train diverted through Warster. He as bin to Derby.

He is still sulking so no pleasure. Oh. Fish and chips on offer at Steels, though some Ave gone all posh. Thou should try the Nottingham house. It has improved since the meat raffle! You should try it, Kingsway is so 1969! VickyA
  • A ramp over Heathrow really, so never mind the readymade airport in Manston without all of the congestion, or well anywhere else. Where do these people make their decisions.
Very sleepy here from a bad night and early start.

    1. Walked up to hospital for a blood test check-up and lovely to walk.
    2. A C@stco pizza slice for lunch:o
    3. I travelled over and took various things for DF, a pleasure to be able to help him but he’s got progressively and significantly worse over the past week. DH and I started a very deep clean maintenance on the house and felt rather meh disheartened/worried.
    4. Nice to be home and greeted as if we are the best people in the world from the animals.:)
    5. DF gave us the dogs things I didn’t realise he had them stuffed in the back of a kitchen unit until we started deep cleaning. He also gifted us odd things he shopped for as he still fancies it but can’t eat solid food.
    6. Behaving myself, telling myself I don’t “need” the No7 calendar or Yankee deal from the MSE email, does that make it “virtual savings”.:p

  • * Face time with Quoye who was eating a purple popcicle. She was a bit purple herself.;)

    * Hot water heater moved and my builder has built a wall I am not pleased with. He will have to rejig said wall. Do men ever listen? (This malady may or may not apply to BoP...only BoPsie knows)

    * BBQ chicken sandwiches for DH. Yes he is DH again....not OH or &$!@X!!!! :D

    * The Cubs are in the World Series! It's an American thang!

    * List made for extensive errand run with DH tomorrow (including breakfast at our fav place)...because I like him again. :rotfl:

    * Tubular skylight with LED light kit ordered for pantry was on sale. This was DS2's idea to fill in the hole, vented through the roof, that is now open because the water heater was moved. Brilliant guy!

Important notice to Skint: chocolate helps us not have magnesium deficiency so it must surely have great healing powers. You might need to double your dose! :D
Overprepare, then go with the flow.
