  • PK how is little ferret? Hoping this weekend sees a turn around.

Where is Ampersand? Thinking of you.

    * My side of the loveseat electric recliner has been finally fixed. DH's side has worked these last two years and my side has not. They have worked on it off and on, sent it back to the manufacturer, replaced switches and doodads. This try they replaced the motor and ~ alakazam ~ it works!! Hallelujah and pass the gunpowder!! Mila is in recline position.

    * Quoye (age 2) has been very very sick with a nasty cold. DD1 kept her home from nursery yesterday. She ask Sequoia last night how her day had been. Quoye said she had a good day as she got to watch a lot of movies. So sick but she found something good about the day.
She's a glass half full kind of gal. :D

    * DH was asked by a good friend to be his presenter for friend's induction into our high school sports hall of fame. DH spoke about his friend in front of 1500 people and it was a great speech.
Brought friend to tears. Many long rounds of applause.

    * Dinner will be roasted chicken, corn on the cob slathered in butter, broccoli cheese rice, and the last of the brownies.

    * Weather is clear and In the low 90's F today. Indian summer. (remember when I say Indian I don't mean from the country of India)
    Ice tea please.

    * Round puzzle on the table. DD2 helping.

    * DD2 is in love. Great man but her father's age. What to think? She has no age bias. Not sure about me...I want her to have a family. Well she is 37 and able to make up her own mind without mama's input.

    * Working my way through paper. It is never ending and I try to keep up! Seeing progress anyway.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

  • Not only have we got Sticky Chickem, Dynamite Mushrooms, but now we have Slimey Dragon Prawns. Oh and a cheat. Reduced bhajis.
  • Aw thank you for the kind comments it really does make a difference, I phoned the vets to check in with them and the patient, they are besotted but he looks a little bit lonely. They have drawn off fluids to try and help and also sent some for tests as it wasn’t what they expected so now he’s on heart things and antibiotics, injections all through today and tomorrow to hopefully touch wood see a vast improvement but there is no improvement yet. He happened to be out when I phoned and I said to her he is incredibly friendly and sure enough she said he is very kissy. My heart is wrenching.

    1. Working on the principle of it’s a miserable weather day I hoped the tip would be empty, that is 3 tip loads in a week, and the tip was a breeze which was nice.

    2. On my using up the freezer found some shortcrust bought for 20p, so used it on making jam tarts, which I doubt will last the day, but I will use the other pastry to make the base of a treacle tart tomorrow.

    3. Our painted door is hung back up on our room, we don’t bother with it but on the off chance family ever wants to stay thought we should at least hang it up.

    4. Just had left over cabbage, pork belly slices from the freezer and fake roasties from a freezer bag for dinner and it tasted lovely.

    5. I did a late night pop to Mr T hoping for some yellow sticker meat but there was literally nothing so empty handed the pleasure being no money spent.

  • Aaahhh good mommy! Kissy friendly babyboy! He's very loved to be that way!!!

    1. Watched DS2 play rugby. He played quite well considering he hadn't played in 4 years and training was non existent.

    2. Saw a perfect double rainbow while watching him. Downside was I got soaked again.

    3. Had a chat with a couple of people who I know from when he played there regularly.

    4. Went for a meal out with DH. It was lovely and reasonable price.

    5. DS2 gave a friend of a friend a lift to a party and was given £10 petrol. She insisted as a taxi would have cost far more - nearer £60.

    Well done vjsmum
Yesterday I started moving bedrooms. It's got the en suite, and since breakup has been xoh's room
    1) cleaned bathroom and had lovely bath
    2) there's a low tile-topped table with several cracked tiles. Replacing them is on my list of projects but for now draped in gorgeous red and gold wrap given to me in India
    3) introduced mr piano to mr l. He was very pleasantly surprised by cost
    4) lovely drying weather
    5) new church friend came for dinner. Mr piano made a very tasty pasta, ham, petit pois and cream. We all had two hearty bowls and there's left-overs :P
Love to all, specially & and sparrer

Have once again been lax over posting lately but RL issues have got in the way, some pleasures have been,

Seeing my DM out of hospital and comfortably ensconced at my DB's, it's a temp thing whilst care packages are out in place but good to see how happy she is.

Making arrangements to meet up with my closest pals, not much chance lately so will be good to catch up in all news.

Despite the circumstances am enjoying not working atm, having the time to complete all those annoying little jobs that have been hanging around for yonks including painting the shed and fence. The house has never been so clean :rotfl:

Taking the windfall apples to the yard, horses loved them.

My big dog Rosie turned 13 yesterday, she had bacon for breakfast as a treat, love the very bones of her.

Captain Scarlet's rugby team pulled off a great escape and mighty U's goalie managed two penalty saves to preserve win :j

Prawns with garlic & ginger for supper, followed by toast and honey, was still hungry!
  • Give Rosy a hug from Mila! (I miss my little rascal) I'm glad to hear about your mother Lainey.

Note to BoPsie: Rory came through. Rude Americans make him play better. Still we are ahead going into tomorrow.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

  • DD. Nothing like rubbing it inn!
LTs. Prawns. We had Slimey Dragon Prawns last night. Not the things from the shelf over priced carp foods! Very nom nom nom.

5 Watched Bridge of Spies yestereve. Very good. Did see it at the flicks a year passing. But now can watch it in context. Very good. Describes East Berlin correctly. What a miserable place that was! We had the usual Sticky Chicken, Dynamite Mushrooms and we introduced the Slimey Prawns of Dragon! Sauce was fresh squeezed lime (slime!), Tom Puree, Garlic, Ginger and for added lethality, Chilli Flakes! Adds to the flavour. Mind you the Dynamite Mushrooms were lethal last night. Went a tadge over with the flakes.
    Wobbleades were consumed!

4 Just done the shop. All inn for £20 this week. One inn front with same trolley and two bags. £129. Poor lass has reached middle age, shelf and cannot cook! Always minded when looking at the reduced, you never know as BoP got the Bhaji from there last eve, that £1.25 for a reduced slice of bread with filling that has sat on the shelf for a week and was made a week and a half ago is not food. Avoid.

3 As BoP is on about food, and proper foods this day. Was inn as we are out, nearly of the Dark Treacle for the Sticky Chickens. This time of year there is much evil products on the shelves waiting for the fool to be parted from their money in an act of evilness. Please avoid buying these products. there is too much evil in the world. Now I did not find any day treacle, but a reimaged can of evil! No.

2 As for that, the Bolshevik Broadcasting Commissariat is again loading itself by ingratiating their annual money extraction scam, where B List celebs want people to give up their income, while they get plaudits. Was OK I suppose in 1981, but in 1982, so different, after Skid Marks, Welsh Guards a brother of a comrade in arms was laid on Sir Galahad. Not a penny given since. Especially when they use their media outlets to flood people with adverts, yet ignorant of the Royal British Legion. TV Tax Not Paid.

If you see evil on the shelf, remove the item and leave it on the floor. If you see an evil product in someone's trolley, remove it
