Sending gentle and heartfelt blessings for a good long life for your beloved Uncle Ampersand and also for you my friend during this troubled time x
  • All of you are in my thoughts dear &. Loss is heartrending, even when we know it is time. Special prayers for x.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Ah, mila. The wadi. I was there in the desert, pre the storm, during the storm and afterwards! Got the medal as well. Ah, the wadi. It flooded on morn on the way the the airport where I [STRIKE]worked[/STRIKE] lazed for a while. Over the bank and everywhere.

5 Done the shopping and it is a crumble day. Apple and rhubarb, with a tang of fresh ginger. Lumpy custard will also be served up. Also, I has done the carrots. Diced for the pie of cottage, with the toe nail onions, beans. Topped with crunchy hot butter mash. Just done door stop carrots, and cauliflower cheese to go with it. Gravy will be panned. Garden peas will also hit the plate of BoP.

4 Only one film to watch last night. Absolute classic, Battle of Britain. I know all the words. Always have a run this time of year, as the few get older. Joined up to work on the jaguar, but ended up on big kites. Christmas cards from RAFBF will be ordered shortly. Link to follow.

3 Sticky chicken was wolfed down yesterday as well, supplemented by the usual wobbleales. Plenty was done.

2 Went to emporium of w8rs. Raffles got some food as well. Amazing how many buy such carp. I wander at how much will be wasted. Not lick BoP. Last eves Sticky Chicken bits are laid for the birds. All gone this morning. No waste. And our shiny new food bin. Still has the wrapper! So we have big pie of cottage for two days, and two crumbles. One is inn the freezer. As you know, the refrigerator only cools the Wobbleades.

Now that bought you back down to earth with a bump!
  • AMPERSAND a life well lived and lived to the full, being as loved as your dear Uncle so obviously is, is a rightness and how things are meant to be. A soft and gentle leaving of this world, surrounded by the love and smiles of all those who have loved you so well is also a rightness and I wish that for your Uncle, peaceful, gentle fading from life to the HUGE adventure that lies beyond earthly being, thinking of you both and wishing Uncle 'Bon Voyage' and you and yours comfort, hugs Lyn xxx.

    Hugs Ampersand
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • And still more hugs, Ampersand.

Of course with cake. Bereavement without cake of some sort is wrong.

Thoughts and careful hugs to Ampersand.

Slight gaps between me posting, but this is not intentional. Too many pleasures to speak of... ;)

    OS pleasures coming up:

    1) DH has pulled up the carrots. Round 1 of carrot & leek soup made and in the freezer. Tomorrow night will be carrot & coriander soup...

    2) Spaghetti bolognese for supper, using freezer stuff. Left overs to go back in the freezer, now it's all been cooked. More carrots from the garden have been used!

    3) Went for a lovely local walk with DH, over a footpath which is very close to the house but we haven't actually been on!

    4) Got my 1 stone award at Sl!mming World (or Fat Fighters, as DH calls it!).

    5) Catching up with the incredible Victoria on ITV. Brilliant!

    6) Friends popped over, bringing with them some sweet treats. Small piece for me, because of SW!

    7) Sang at an Oktoberfest yesterday with my Rock Choir. It was fabulous!

Dearest Ampersand has asked me to let you all know that beloved Uncle passed away at 5am NZ time. He was pain free, relaxed and peaceful xx
