5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

I should post here more often I'm easily pleased!
1. After not posting for ages as I changed my password on pc then laptop then forgot them, didn't take note of new ones I've just discovered the tablet has my old password and my account works. However I don't have a pic server on the iPad so don't know how to post pics. New learning opportunity coming up.
2. It's sunny. Washing on line.
3. Made an interesting and hopefully tasty dinner for tonight from leftovers and a frozen bargain from aldi. No spend day!
4. My new mop head has done a great job of my bathroom and kitchen floors - why did I wait so long to replace it!
5. I've started the big cloth and shoe move from summer stuff to be stored and Autumn / winter to be reinstated. This is an epic job, my dressing room currently looks like a bomb site. There's piles for all sorts of wearing occasions and the repair, mend and alter list is becoming huge. Least I've made a start. Chuffed about that.0 -

Quick pleasure for yesterday - phone call to tell me I have a job interview.... :-D Good news but I shall be gutted if I don't get it.
Pleasures for today:
1) A lie in.
2) Made "Egg McMuffins" for breakfast.
3) Went to Malvern to a very intense and enthusiastic hen man's shop. Was told in great detail all the things we need to do to nurse Barbara hen back to full health.
4) Took hen sleeping area apart, sprayed it with red mite killer, threw diatomateuos earth everywhere (inc on hens), cleared away all food and replaced with food laced with wormer... Hens OK today but Barbara still tired and not laying.
5) Went to see brother (his birthday) and my old house mate from University was there! So had a chat with him. He is only my height so surprised when sons appeared and loomed over him. Also surprised that bigger son is nearly 16.
6) Went to sister's for tea (take away delivered to house - it was years before I realised that such a thing existed as I have never lived in a house fewer than 5 miles from a restaurant!) Parents and brother there also.
7) Listened to Last Night of the Proms on the way home.0 -
Pm to bop rightly knocked off our perch. Well done Mariners, we take our hats off to you
1) oor wullie home coming - over 70 in Mary slessor gardens before they are auctioned off
2) then lunch with gbf. Tom soup and sarnie £5.95 yum
3) got necklace fixed by very nice jeweller and he didn't charge
4) joined friends in a tea shop then off to station to meet dd2 who is back for weekend
5) last night of the proms

Some pleasures for yesterday,
First one, weird, felt lousy with lots of sneezing etc so didn't feel could visit hospital but guess was a way of making me stop and rest
Snuggled down on sofa, caught up with some tv and did lots of reading.
Enjoyed HM chicken soup out of the freezer, my go to illness food, delicious.
Slept a bit in the afternoon then took the girls out for a short walk in between rain showers.
Captain Scarlet home around 8 after dropping youngest hollow legged SS at Uni, his cuddles restored my good humour.0 -

2. Cleared some clothes out of DS's wardrobe (whilst he's on holiday he will never notice) we had a charity NSPCC bag through door so I can put sorted clothes out for collection & saves carting it to the charity shop
3. popped to friends house in next street for coffee and chat
4. afternoon nap
5. another friend came round for the evening with a bottle of wine and a pizza

Not often but gloat when you can!
5 Still buzzing from yesterday. And as DD says. Rightly knocked the hatters off the perch. And also, pains me to say, Imps top of conference as well. BoPsie, not a native meggie, but from cathedral town, had put up picture on her Buck of Face page. She us threatened with de friending. A new BoPsie could be requested. She was minded if mother BoP, who when the big derby was on, would get edgy all week. She never forgave dad BoP in 1958, when she left with him to catch train back home, as they were losing. Only to find they scored three goals on the way to St Marks Station.
4 Watched a bogart last night. Yes you missed it. Casablanca. True as it was in black and white. BoPsie did the Chicky Sticky, and we had dynamite mushrooms. Done in garlic, with added flakes of chilli. You know not if the mushroom had a fire inside. Tum was rubbed.
3 Checked our food waste bin this morning. Not a mark on it. Note to readers, itwill see no use. On that, BoP was in the emporium w8rs this day. Weeks shop of rabbit food, cat off and marmite etc was £18.27. Paper was free. Person in front bought ready made Sunday lunch, with prefabricated yorkshires, waste of space mash etc at £148. Bet her waste bucket will see some damage! Raffles had the chicken bones, this morning all gone.
2 Funny Watching villa play in the league they are in. Still won't be coming back this year. Just cannot understand why they clap in the game for something they are not. You don't see F1 stopping every race because that was the time ...

I appear to have gone into tidying mode. I spent 4 hours yesterday clearing out, sorting, cleaning and tidying the office. :j
Today, was a lazy start.:)
After a grilled bacon roll we drove for 2 miles to where we know there are apple trees on a public footpath and loaded up with some apples and walnuts but no cobnuts at all this year.:)
I got back and set the tv to record the proper Charlie and the Chocolate factory.
I then prepared a roast to cook through and decided enough with the kitchen. I have to put up with it a few months longer so while it may be naff it may as well be clean. I started by emptying the drawers and cleaning, the cleaned all the cupboards and boiler and moved to all the walls I could see. Looks great but now I will need to finish it off yikes.
Washing hung out and looking forward to a nice forecast.:)
I am writing this on the tablet as the laptop has packed up. Spare part ordered off the bay for a whole 7 squid and fingers very crossed.
Second interview next week, it's a long process but I think it will be worth it.:D0 -
'Leave in tray and cut into slices when completely cold' - well, didn't quite, so.... In fact, thought cool enough was cold enough, but no....
1. ...so, a few fallen apart bits on saucer impatiently await &'s black green bedside tea.
Choc. ginger flapjack, new recette, high healthies[only 85% cocoa solids will do for &]and most veriest lovelishly. V. organic oaty and so so scrummy.
2. Grateful again for decent Spits Thursday and fair banking.
3. 1st home match of the new season yesterday - AND WE WON! Could have lost with last kick of the match, but Colchester missed....:-)))))))))))) Not grinning for that, you understand, but for us victorious. We have a hard road/high ladder metaphorland ahead, in order to return to Div.II South. Not really a one season job, methinks. On verra. Lovely to meet up with one and all and yes....the first crop of Club teatowels and beermats are out on the line as we speak.4. 57 - 22-) Sorry, should have saidOh, my beautiful ABs - 2nd half, especially. Played in moolooland, the mighty Waikato.

N.B. Referee is the infamous World Cup disgrace, runaway Craig Joubert....stopped digging and surfaced in Hamilton.

Another no.4. Arrived early for Club match, early enough to see chalked up blackboard sign for Curiosity Vintage and Collectables Fair at a certain garden centre across the road[dd knows it of old, lainey probably does]......:D
Of course, I did. Some decent bits, inc. a sizable silver sheathed scimitar, deeply and intricately chased.
5. Pleasant sense now of a productive well-worked day. Early 6 bells hunt'n'gather outs in morning mists, soon enough fine and lovely after yesterday blessing of rain butts replenished. Good church at 11, then mowed grass, dug, potted, transplanted, split, replanted, blue blasted slug pellets everywhere. Cooking and laundrying and hedgehog and birdie doings all beyond the usual, all satisfying.

POI - dark tonight at 20.12, so dinner taken outside by light of spherical candle.
For all &'s passion for tennis, am NEVER moved by prospect of him, OR him winning. Can't stand the likely him, so will hope for the other one. Listening, while watching ABs on youtube:j,
