& Those very nice people have so much money to offer you, I would bite their wrists off!j:rotfl::rotfl:
Now where was the latest binary future trading scam that appears when reading local papers. Some guy jumps out of a Ferrari and wanders into a pub and just chances on a couple of ... Amazing that last month they made £251,986.56. And when you get the same page again, blow me, their balance is only £181,321.53. I guess they must had lost some over night.
Usual rules apply. AVOID0 -
Yes, bop, and all & has to do is give Mrs Franca Lee her banknamebankaddressbankaccountnumber blahblah.
Wrist biting risks rabies.
How else can she possibly know where to send the largesse?
p.s. Must ask Mrs Franca Lee if this includes samedis and dimanches, on which days may have to second raffles, if he would be so kind.

1) The smell from the kitchen, I've just baked a vanilla sponge for DD1s birthday cake and it smells divine. I shall fill it with clotted cream and sweetened fresh raspberries, oooohhhhhhh 'licious!!!
2) A trip to town this morning and a wander through the charity shops produced a 'Chuggington' DVD, several books and some crayons for my Zebra who we shall see on Friday.
3) Aldi had some of their lovely large avocados in today, the ones that are actually ripe when you buy them so tomorrow we shall have poached egg on avocado toast for breakfast, what a way to start the day.
4) Standing and watching the boats going up and down the river when I walked Cookie this afternoon, we live in such a pretty place I sometimes forget that in everyday things but today with the blue sky and sunshine the white sails made it look so lovely.
5) We're taking ALL the courgettes and runnerbeans and blackberries up to DD1 tomorrow, she has some wonderful friends and colleagues who actually WANT them, isn't that nice?0 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Bigger son changed my wardrobe doors from opening to sliding (they couldn't open fully due to lack of space in my room, which was such a pain!) This took him most of the day, using every machine in the shed available.
3) Hens well.
4) Had pork rolls for lunch from the butcher in the village.
5) Had a good tidy up in the garden. Borrowed a sledgehammer from brother and smashed the nasty concrete bit of path up (at last!) Got a couple of slabs to put down in place of it. Repotted a lot of the herbs on the front plus our avocado tree. The last tree lived for about 4 years, including through 2010, a terrible winter.
6) Bigger son was looking at his new table saw, bought for £40 from a sale. It is 1940s and the plate states it was built for Kine Engineering. Looked it up and Donald Campbell invested in that company and they built the Bluebell there.
7) Watched Holby City.
8) One of my referees has agreed to do another reference for me for job I am applying for (if I get it!) Worried now because I need to ask my boss for the second reference - and then she'll know I'm looking for a new job... Also, tried to apply on line for new job and it says to attach a CV. Which is weird because it is a county council job and they always have the same form. No one there to phone but the deadline is the start of term. No one to ask...0 -
1-100 It was lovely to be away, but it is great to be back.
Looking forward to sleeping in our bed tonight.
A washing mountain awaits, I will write lots when I'm not so tired:o0 -
1. Sunshine, if a little chilly after the last fortnight.......
2. Used up the last of a gift card in MrW's towards shopping.
3. DD and I made a pinata cake for grandadkins' birthday, filled with strawberries and sandwiched with whipped cream. Nomnomnom.
4. DD and I bumped into my new deputy head in next village, where she lives and we were shopping. She's so nice
5. Have managed to stay awake all day, I slept badly last night and am in lots of back pain, I think caused by the uncomfortable seat on the plane and the hours of driving to and from airports, so thought I'd dose up on painkillers and go to bed as late as possible.
6. Enjoyed watching a 'murder' with mummykins. We try not to pick too many holes in the plots.....
7. Have ordered 2 sets of theatre tickets, one to see a Morpurgo play (moneysaving, as I found the play's tour website, and discovered it was on at another localish theatre far cheaper than the first theatre I'd seen it advertised at) and the other set is to see one of my favourite poets, John Hegley. I can't wait to introduce DD to his poetry, we are major rhyme fans.

Ah, John Hegley, Kittikins. I made him a cup of tea in the kitchen at work, years ago. Before suddenly realising he was having an affair with my boss...0

& loved the video which DH and I watched. I said: What do you think of rugby? He said: I think it is a vile nasty game with unbelievable athletes....a REAL sport.
I learned a new word>>>>scrum. I mostly understood the announcers and referees.
Entertaining and educational. :rotfl:
* DH had his hand MRI in a town one hour away instead of 5 hrs drive. :money: He was the only one waiting :j we parked right in front of the building :j and they took great care in getting good images. :T
* We found a very good restaurant to have lunch at and the ultimate test was passed...good tortilla chips and salsa. Food was wonderful. Gorditas for Thomas and red chile enchies for moi.
* It rained on the way over. We are almost up to normal rainfall now!!!!:j:j:j
7.5" for the year so far. Only 1" off. It has been so long since it has actually done any thing but sprinkle, I told my DH that an entire generation of coyotes would wonder what that was falling from the sky and be confused as to what to do. Rabbits and snakes just hide in their holes. Cows were smiling as we drove by them.
* Two seasons of Hinterland watched!
* Old Tobydog is hanging in there. He a tough rascal. Bad news is that he has a hairline fracture in his pelvis bone, lesions on several joints, and a back left hip joint that is turning into gravel. Blood was drawn and we will know more next week. CC was taken out and used. We may or may not be looking at surgery. It depends on the blood work. The vet (DH's second cousin) thinks the lesions are caused by a long term fungal infection. He did have six infected teeth removed and it had been a year since his teeth were last cleaned. The worst thing, that he is taking really hard, is not being able to go to bed with us. He cries a lot. We just cannot chance him jumping off the bed. Poor Toby. Poor us.
* The rain has showed up a few leaks in the rental. Our contractor, who had just put siding on it, went over and fixed them and didn't charge us one red cent. :j This was on roof parts he had not even work on and we are thrilled.
* Process started for having floors measured for new flooring, both wood and tile. Getting started is always the hardest for me. Yes, I'm a huge procrastinator! But DH feels all projects should have been done by yesterday. No piddling around in our household when joint effort is required. :A We both really liked the same tile when we went into the flooring store today. So one picked out and one to go.
Kitti I'm so glad you enjoyed Florida! Holding an alligator, tape or no tape! The southern half of the US definitely has air conditioning everywhere. A must. I love the pool too vs the beach. It is nice to go but sand does get (hide your eyes BOP) everywhere!Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Morning all
Hinterland, Mila? is that our Hinterland in Welsh Wales? Ice cream town is very close to there, if it is. A bit of Celtic noir - love it.
Welcome home PK
Five for yesterday
1. two loads of washing on the line
2. DS back at school - came home raging about the organisation (which is rubbish to be fair) but the rants made me laugh
3. made lemon drizzle to use up some OOD butter
4. Watched 'one of us' - occasionally lose the plot but i think i'm with it.
5. effandc for tea - home made.
Have a great day allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Yes that's the one. I watched the TV series in English. It's known as Y Gwyll in Wales and is a police detective series. The detectives investigate murders all over western Wales, which I adore seeing. Scenes are filmed twice, once in English and once in Welsh. I watched it on Netflix and am looking forward to season 3. :jOverprepare, then go with the flow.
