    1. Made twinks this morning and topped them with a caramel and chocolate mix. Very popular at work, even the snotty PA was pleasant to me. It's amazing what a bit of home baking can do:rotfl:

what is this mix you talk about??? Sounds yummy!! :D:D

Wow, those Twinks sound scrumptious! Shame I'm dieting again lol.....

    1. More test driving, more no's and a very possible yes, ......still haven't really worked out the finance aspect, but am having fun zooming around in all these cars that aren't mine, lol.

    2. Bought DD a lovely fresh pineapple for 20p when I stopped at Mr S to powder my nose and saw them in the reduced section, so nearly a NSD today!

    3. DD's back tomorrow night, yippeeeeeeeeeeee! Am finally starting to tidy the house up as it's not really been touched since she left.

    4. Another swim this morning, but a shorter one this time as I was tired and also wanted a sauna in the time I had. One more morning available so I must make the most of it tomorrow!

    5. Friend at work gave me a gazillion Mr T school vouchers, I have a healthy stash to take in on Monday morning.

    Helllloooooooooooooooooooo!!!

Sorry I have been Awol yet again! (not as Awol as Ollie though!)

Quick 5 as its been a rough few days, the new staff member didnt work out btw... lasted almost 2 days though before having a go at one of my most loyal customers in a bar full of people because she thought he was talking about her!!!! I know, I don't know where we get them from either! (that was the final straw)

    1) The girls are LOVING the sunshine, had an 11 egg day the other day!!!

    2) Tried making a haggis and beetroot wellington type thing that I have been meaning to make for ages, and it worked and is yum!!!! Best bit was what spurred me on to make it was some whoopsied beetroots! And its going down really well.

    3) I see LOADS of bluebells sprouting! I was worried as my daffs still arent flowering yet, but its all ok! Will post a pic when they flower as its like a carpet up the glen when they do.

    4) Beautiful sunshine on the loch

    5) The valuation on tuesday was ok. Could have been better, but at least now we know!

    Thats all folks!!!
da da da da dadada da daa da daa, da da da daaaa daaa daaaaaaaaaa.!

    Evening All,

Allergic to chocolate:eek: you poor people! I am trying to give it up, but its sooooo difficult. Had a bag of Aero Bubbles walking the dog tonight and it did make me feel a bit sick, cos I hardly eat it anymore :(

Hope all the poorlies are feeling a bit better. :)

    Today

    1. The research into GHDs has given me a couple of options. Know what I'm looking for now.
    2. Pruned another cherry tree. Trying to encourage it to 'weep'. Aiming for the tree from 'Those Dreadful Children' by Enid Blyton if anyone else is old enough to remember reading it, before she became non pc.
    3. Watching 'The Edible Garden' and wondering where in Birmingham it is. Oh how I wish I could look that stylish when gardening! :o
    4. Went back to MrM to complain about overcharge on two items. Bought more 3for1 deals.
    5. Met DH from work and went for a walk along the canal with DS2and the doggie. Walked up to the Mailbox to make a reservation for afternoon tea at Harvey Nichols with my Daily Mail voucher. DH's birthday treat on Monday. The chap who took the reservation is going to let us come in after the cafe is closed as DH doesn't finish work until 5.30pm. How lovely is that? :A

Off to collect DD from work. DH has to be up to get the train to London tomorrow, so I'm being nice and doing the late duty. Hope her genetically programmed mardiness isn't too bad tonight!:rotfl:

    Night Night HE x

    1. So many lovely, caring people here who I value greatly as dear friends. Thank you all so very much for your thoughts, prayers and hugs :A x
    2. Dear friend in Beijing is having surgery next week which they say is to 'make him more comfortable'. It doesn't sound brilliant long term but they're doing what they can for which I'm thankful :)
    3. Thanks to an article on MSE I can make calls to China at 1p a minute :money:
    4. Three NSDs :T
    5. I have a bit of a chest infection so a lovely friend in my fellowship is coming to cut my grass on Friday :)

    Night night, sweet dreams

Nuttybabe - The topping for the twinks was just some caramel eggs (left from easter) melted with some plain chocolate added a little water and some icing sugar. It was quite sweet and very sticky but seemed to go down well

Morning all! My 5 for yesterday:

    1. Seeing "The Bounty Hunter" with friends - Orange Wednesday so cheap night out.

    2. Visit from my brother in the evening.

    3. Yummy savoury rice for tea, and my homemade pate for lunch.

    4. Good day at work - was able to get on with quite a lot of stuff.

    5. Thinking about how counting my pleasures each day, and making myself reach 5 even if I think I've had a pants day, is proving really beneficial. I feel so much more grateful generally for what I have, don't want "stuff" any more and I seem to be a lot more chilled and relaxed these days. Magic!

4 I bought my very first ever pair of skinny jeans today for £2. And they fit BUT a quick question to anyone who has skinny jeans. Are the legs meant to be more like leggins than jeans???? Or should I be tonning my legs a bit before wearing them??? :P

Nice find for £2! Depends what skinny jeans you buy, some have more of a straighter leg and some cling more. I'd say if they fit and you feel good - wear them with pride! Wear them with a pair of 5" heels and your legs will tone up pretty quick anyway! That's my 'workout' contribution for weekends!

Good to read everyone's posts as usual, thanks for the inspiration to be happy no matter what life throws your way.

    Mine for today would be...

    1. Waking up late due to hitting 'off' instead of 'snooze'... and still getting to work early, finding parking and having a yummy breakfast at work.
    2. Realising that I am beginning to understand what advertising and marketing are all about!
    3. Having a delicious talk with OH about the past... (can be weird and was ok as we both concluded that we wouldn't be where we are now if we hadn't walked the paths we took to get to each other) and the future... (always fantastically positive and romantic with a great edge of realism thrown in) last night has left me with happy vibes buzzing about... and excitement about what's to come :D
    4. Knowing that even when you don't feel like finding 5 things, if you just commit to doing it, you WILL feel better. That's empowering.
    5. Made the doggie biscuits last night and doglet loved them! Woo!

Thanks for reading, I'll be back later to read some more! Happy days everyone

    .
I have always worn skinny or drainpipe jeansdue to having slim legs.. Used to have a pair of 11 inch bottoms for years.I do have very slim ankles and wrists(when I get a watch I have to put holes in or take links out of the strap.!!) I find anything normal feels like flares on me and bootcut make me look like a member of the Happy mondays/Stone Roses... They are meant to look like jeans rather than jeggings which I find look dreadful on everyone.

    Morning all,

Not been here for a while. Hope everyone is well.

    1. Sunshine and blue skies. Ah that's more like it.
    2. Some free stuff coming through the door today. Compensation for poor stuff I'd bought and used. Karma nonetheless.
    3. Big good morning cuddle from the dog. I love their excitement of yes, I'm alive!
    4. Sorting out some bits for charity shop, a bag is sitting in the car already to go.
    5. My local library which allows me to reserve books free of charge.

    :A
