    Evening all,

I am feeling a little better today - I think it has something to do with being able to eat something today. Though I am now allergic to another antibiotic and have come up with a rather unattractive rash all over me...

Thanks for the get well wishes...

    1) Actually being able to walk to the bathroom without nearly passing out/ thowing up/ becoming a shivering wreck

    2) My boss being very understanding about me not being in.

    Um... that probably about it...

    Have a good evening everyone.

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

    4. Lovely texts from my OH and DDIL
    5. The smell of dinner cooking as I type.....

    :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I had almost finished a long post and my computer decided to re-boot itself. I really must work out how to turn off the automatic updates - they're good in theory, but a serious nuisance in practice.

    :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

    Right, where was I?

Ladyhawk - I'm glad you're feeling a bit better today, and I hope you fully recover quickly.

Shadowsfall - I'm so glad I wasn't the only one to see the 'other' meaning of wssla00's robins - I have been told before that my mind tends to run along the gutter sometimes! :o

Blimus - thanks for your thoughts on my job crisis, and I think you're spot on about the complainant lashing out - he doesn't like a decision that's been made (not by me, which would at least be understandable) and is blaming me for it. His complaint has been turned down on the basis that you can't complain about someone just because you remember a conversation slightly differently (which is what this is all about): he has to come in for a formal hearing next month, though, so this will doubtless all come up again, but at least I don't have to worry about it until then (I hope!).

Right, five pleasures (if my computer doesn't shut itself down again, anyway...)

    1) Raisin and almond porridge for breakfast, as it was rather chilly when I got up this morning.

    2) A colleague / friend who has been on holiday brought in some treats, and, knowing my hatred of anything chocolately (_pale__pale__pale_), brought some plain biccies so I could have some too. Very yummy they were too - I had a bit of trouble convincing myself that eating the whole packet wasn't a good plan! :o

    3) I had asked the same colleague / friend to bring me back a speciality of the region she was visting as it's a favourite of mine - she did, and refused to let me pay her back, either. :A

    4) Another tomato seed has sprouted, so I now have a grand total of two. :D

    5) I've had an email from M&S with details of this weekend's dine in for £10 offer (yes, it's back, folks!). I was planning on emptying my freezer, but that might just have to wait - I'm sure there's room in there for a chicken...

    Have a nice evening, everyone.
Back after a very long break!

    Evening all

BlimusOreilly - I would be a millionaire if i had £50 every time i shouted!!! :rotfl:

wssla00 - Must be terrible not wanting to go anywhere incase you get allergic to anything. I am also allergic to alot of things and have recently got worse. Yesterday when I cleaned behind sofas my eyes swelled up! And my asthma has been bad since! I will have to go to doctors about it if that continues. Also my sister has been told she is allergic to everything, mildly! She has been told it worse as she gets older!

    Mine for today

    1 A lie in :j

2 My home made bread for breakfast. yummy!

3 I bought my hanging baskets in poundland today. All ready to plant my tomato plants in. Will put 1 plant in 1 and 2 plants in the other and see how they do. Cant wait!! :D

4 I bought my very first ever pair of skinny jeans today for £2. And they fit BUT a quick question to anyone who has skinny jeans. Are the legs meant to be more like leggins than jeans???? Or should I be tonning my legs a bit before wearing them??? :P

5 Spag bol out the freezer and dd ate the lot with no screaming fits or crying! yay!!! :T

    Have a good evening all.

Oh I'm the same... and most of my poor colleagues are complete chocoholics but because I am allergic to some chocolate and actually don't even like the taste anymore they have to be content with fruity sweets now. They don't seem to mind too much though...

I don't mind so much if the chocolate is well wrapped so I don't have to touch or smell it - I'll even bring chocolate cakes / biscuits into the office for colleagues like that (the only time I abandon my OS foodie principles!). The one thing I could really do without is people making mugs of hot chocolate in the office kitchen - the smell of it makes me _pale_

    Evening all,

Just a quick post tonight as very sleepy and need my bed

    1. Made twinks this morning and topped them with a caramel and chocolate mix. Very popular at work, even the snotty PA was pleasant to me. It's amazing what a bit of home baking can do:rotfl:
    2. Collegue really helped me out by restoring some data onto a memory stick that DD had deleted in a temper. (not her memory stick but a teachers:eek:) Don't know what had got into her but needless to say she is very relieved. She is in so much trouble
    3. Fil birthday tomorrow and realising we had just about enough in vouchers for John Lewis (from survey) to cover his present just needed a little bit of topping up.
    4. Managed to get a few more bargains in Mr.W tonight so freezer is fully stocked to bursting again.
    5. Yummy dinner of jambalaya. Everything was pre-prepared so just had to throw it together when got in.

Hugs to all who need them
