Mila, is the plumber moving in?
Now relax as BoP brings you all you don't want to let your mother see.
5 Breakthrough day yesterday with the mortgage. And is downhill from here now inn. Celebrationary wobbleade was consumed in the right plaice! And there you go!
4 Now I do not know how many times BoP has mentioned proper foods and not the foam drinks, ready meals and the carp the emporiums wish to take your money for! Well, seems those nice nitrogen enriched atmospheric bags of salad, made to look good when it is on the shelf not bought by BoP, are full of bugs because people can no longer do basic food hygiene.
3 Just stripped the buzzard in readiness for the curry. And be warned, it is going to be a hot one at that. So take care and remember to take the bottle of water with you. Don't buy the expensive carp in the emporium, but refill a bottle. Just plain water, without the mess! Raffles is currently debarring the chicken. The birds will finish it off later. And yes, it is what nan BoP did and the cats and birds loved her! We had no vermin on the estate either!
2 Day BoP is prepping for trip up north, where the grass has snakes and we make mincemeat out of moles! More later! Tuff up there it be. Mind you, would they allow Mr Sellers to do this today!
Managed 15 seconds on the bbc today as well, before the stupid mention of a baby otter. It is not a baby otter, it is a pup, cared for by the b1tch. Poor trash quality. Proud not to pay the tv tax.
Some people forget to look in the mirror in the morning and dress like the fool they mimic. Instead, look in the mirror and you will see something unique.0 -
Am enjoying the sun but not the heat .... phew !!
DfV - I did check but they didn't do the "quad" 4 phones only up to triple.
Frith - with mobile phones the old "corded" (is that such a word? )phone is a bit redundant but the phone I have just replaced in my bedroom is a huge old fashioned non-electric corded phone so I've popped it into the bottom of my bedside table cupboard "just in case"(sadly my house is full of stuff kept "just in case"
)
1. did some batch cooking in the evening 8pm and sat outside whilst the oven was on as it was cooler than inside
2. nice cool shower before bed
3. went to the ice-cream van outside school at home-time and got a 99 at school rates (50p cheaper) got lots of strange looks as I was the only adult with no child)
4. borage in the garden is in full flower and the bees are lovin it ...... however the weedkiller put on the unwanted weeds has not workedso I have resorted to OS salt & boiling water

Quick pleasures for today then I can lie down in front of the fan!
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Sports day was just in the morning and will continue tomorrow morning. Good thing too as it got up to 34 this afternoon. It was 27 degrees when I put the washing out just before 9pm.
3) Went to see my school friend after work for a cup of tea.
4) Tasty tea of cous cous, avocado, tomatoes and chicken.
5) Hens OK.
6) Smaller son texted me while I was out to ask me to buy Maltesers for his favourite TA who is leaving to become a teacher.
7) Watched Holby.
8) Watered pots of herbs in the garden.
Three NOT pleasures also happened today! The alarm didn't go off so we were woken by smaller son's taxi escort. Then the water went off, which was not helpful to getting ready for work. Then, eating lunch, the lovely rebuilt tooth (only done lasts Thursday) ended up getting spat into my lunchbox...0 -
Waves goodbye to a Melbourne and I will see you all in Scotland on Thursday morning! Just the 28 hours or so until we are there!
This is a farewell trip not a jolly holiday for OH and I but I want to make the most of the tiny week we have.
See you soon on your time zone!0 -

1. & has just done full catch-up read, ditto thanks here given in abundance, also for 3 lovely pms, all duly answered.
2. Back again from again battered France. Horrors, just horrors. & was returning from the usual glorious celebratory feux d'artifice as news broke, then just worsened and worsened. Joined the silent many in front of the Hôtel de Ville, with blue riband around white rose and red Peace lily. Small pointless gesture...inept before unreason and madness. Maire was extraordinary - a tall, young, family man who shook hands with every single person present, y compris & and accepted the little gesture with great grace and strong, sound thought. & accepted invitation to rtn and see little posy in Chamber later. As the clock struck midi at end of 3 days' deuil national, it then struck 84 times. This took time: the silence was perfectly held.
3. So I am back. Many meetings and good things whilst away, aside from above.
My Nthn French 'famille d'accueil', are remarkable people. 3 kgs of lovely specially-made butter and fresh-laid goose egg have made it to &fridge, around 0100h ce matin. All yday, post-disembark, & spent mucking about in sea off Sandown. Car oven-roasted all contents, so & pleased that very very carefully layered and hidden and deep-packed precious goods have survived.
4. Hearing Andy win Wimbledon and Kyle Edmond do great Davis Cup things and Pakistan take 1st Test, from long white sandy beaches, after early morning hunt'n'gathers at various vide-greniers du villages and associated festivities. Some marvellous long wanders and acquaintances du passage.
5. More place-names gathered: Le Temps Perdu, another village which is &'s 4 initials, Le FÉe d'Antan - and now permitted to post them here from &utah apparently.
Nothing back from mse towers, but it seems & has snuck under the brexit barrier. For how long? Owen Smith, Frith ? - I do hope so.

mhags - have held daily thoughts of you in my here, there and everywhere's.
Vicarage brekkie tmrw - no different. Told our fab. Vic. about your poor experience, post passim. No way with us, her, our lot - so you're conjoined, okay?
Much love to you both during this speed well week.
Closing, as I began, with bop - some more strong good wishes for i/v today.

Go safely, everyone. Just do things. Don't think of Why We Can't.

For the last few days,
After so many weeks of disappointing summer at last we have some hot weather.
Meals in the garden, under the apple tree, birds are now so used to us they come down to the feeders anyway and are within touching distance.
Caring for my Mum, she is poorly at the moment with scans etc due tomorrow, feels good to look after her.
Washing dries more or less as soon as it goes out.
Hosing off my equine pal to cool him down, likewise the dogs who run and snap at the hose, dubious pleasure of wet dog smell in the house.
Hot weather is a good excuse to eat ice-cream, lots of it.
:hello: Ampersand, you have been missed.
Mhags, enjoy your week with family0 -
Oh yes, Lainey. Wet dog smell is deffo dubious. That's rather po-lite, acksherly.
5 osps today:
1. Free emporium cappu. while big thunder and storm clouds boiled around with searing blue, indecisive then defeated. Some massive splatters on &'s windscreen bigger than wimbo balls. Meteo theatre from one of &'s lost spots is always to be relished.
2. Will & cook a little f/r, AbAng steak soon? Maybe. 3 came wrapped in rtc bag for £1.66, ex w8rs, bien sûr :-) Yes I will, after protein-lite oily rag week away.
3. Companions of this time - maman hare, 2 teen leverets, one leveret child, 2 leaping roe deer. They leap because they must at present, ditto the hares. The empty quartering roll-away field[can't say 'paddock' in nthn hemi]has chunky leaf fat growth, rich dark green. Looks most like spinach, but isn't.
4. -and so much bird talk/squawk. Don't know what makes one persistent sound of distress, like hawk mews on high-up thermals, but isn't, because this sound comes out low from hedges and no birds are visible.
5. The 1st world pleasure and luxury of choices.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:
