    1. Glass of wine in the garden yesterday evening. Lovely and peaceful and listened to neighbours daughter laughing and giggling. She is 3.

    2. DS2 cooked tea after I had picked him up from the station. It was pasta with bacon and mushrooms and very tasty.

    3. Talked to my Dad and he is managing well with his radiotherapy. He isn't too tired yet.

    4. Have requested at work that I change where I work occasionally. I swap with a colleague once a month and due to various reasons it makes my back slightly more painful. I have asked to do this every other month and it has been agreed.

    5. Day off work and a long weekend.

    Just back from the quack!

5 Jenny has been rebooted, but needs another test in four weeks! If she is not working, she will be replaced! Oh well! Time to look at the twin choke!

4 Got the tart fuel inn for BoPsie, and as noted elsewhere inn the parish, wobbleades are chilling inn the fridge, hence no room for cheese and butter things! Please be careful if you also consume wobbleade, as it can ...

3 Breakfast was another bowl of toasted golden flakes of corn smothered in ice cold milk. Tea was also drunk. Last night on plaza de BoP, we had cheese salad. BoPsie wanted to play games after the cricket, sonic ended up one a piece in cribbage. Then, after a gap of nearly a year, and eventually with BoP drawing level a week or so ago on the electronic backgammon, BoP took the lead, at last. So on the night, BoP is up! Please remember, BoPsie is only one win in scrabble away from the chance of two on the bounce.

2 Nite sees the start of the football. Those in Scotland, please turn off the lights!

And inn the end, the earth remains the same

Good morning , it's Saturday already, feels a bit chilly but haven't ventured out with dog yet so not sure how cold it actually is.

Had a pleasant enough Friday, even though we had the busiest Friday at work in a while ( muttering ungrateful thoughts at colleague who was off :)) , I was straight out that door at 2pm.

Home briefly and then back out with DD1 & my begging / request for donations letters for school . Pharmacy had already phoned me so I got 2 lovely gift sets and a rather nice photo frame from them, florist gave me a voucher for $25 , which I picked up when I went in to buy my Friday flowers, had my usually lovely chat with the owner. We've done the lower end of our wee town and will do the middle and top end next week. Quite a few have promised stuff , a few the 'right person ' wasn't there and only one said no as they get so many requests. Fair enough. But it was a lovely afternoon , dry and bright but blooming icy wind .

DD1 made under my instruction ( ie..me , shouting out the next set of ingredients to her) 2 carrot cakes. One for me to take away and one to stay. I make them at work very quickly so I find it hard to watch someone take an age to do them.....much biting of tongue!

    Packed my bag.

We have a new car . OH's company car . ....all shiny and black....we are going up in the hills today don't think it will be either shiny or black when we get back!

Right it's 6am which is when Haggis gets his breakfast so I'd better get a wriggle on and start the day :)

Will catch up as much as Internet allows out in the sticks!

Have a great weekend and may your sun shine :)

    1. Up early and working but animals dragged me away to play for a half hour, well it was before 9.:T
    2. DH has done all he can to my car, but now it has to go to the garage for the final £££ bits, MOT, front tyre tracking and aircon re-gassing, ££££, but we have saved on a lot of work DH has been able to do of brakes and servicing.:p
    3. I filled up a cupboard a while ago of clothes I couldn’t face throwing, but I’ve not worn them at all since, so I have freed up the space and donated the lot to the BHF, but I did try not to look as I put them in the bag is that Kondoing??:D
    4. Lunch sitting in the garden sun eating pizza with DH, I was glad to see the sun as I badly tend to work through and not see daylight during the day, it’s rather nice.:)
    5. I just popped out to take the recycling which has been overflowing for weeks to Mr T, and popped in only picked up RTC beef, sausages and a half price rotisserie chicken for tonight, handy but got a blow out on the way back..:eek:Just as well my internal struggle for a takeaway didn’t win out as more £££ will be on the way out tomorrow. Lovely DH came out and changed it. Sadly it may mean 4 new tyres rather than 1, at least we do know a good tyre place.

Had a good day yesterday seemed to have achieved something.

    1. Finally took some towels to the RSPCA which uncluttered the house slightly and had to wait for ducks to cross the road on my way out.

    2. A quick shop in MrT and used a gift card I had found. Still have money left on it too!!

    3. Chickens helping me in the garden. Not as sure how I haven't managed to hurt one as they are constantly under my feet.

    4. DS1 hospital appointment for pain relief injection has been bought forward to Sunday which is good.

    5. Drinking coffee wandering round the garden.

Good evening from the middle of nowhere! The most perfect spot for a teeny tiny cottage , absolutely perfectly kitted out with kangaroos in the hill above us.

Very rainy drive up here but sun came out as we were arriving.

Made lentil soup , had brought ingredients with me. Had this with bacon sandwiches

Son went mountain biking with winery owner, they have mountain bike tracks . We sat and watched the Kangaroos then were amazed when they bounded down the hill into our 'garden' paddock , there were loads of them. Just thrilled.

Went a walk, heard cockatoos and saw another big kangaroo.

Home and sat and watched sun set from the verandah. Literally hundreds of cockatoos were flying home to roost. Spectacular.

Made a chilli for tea and had that with rice and some salad.

Girls had made and iced the carrot cake so had some for pud.

Watching trashy Australian telly....were here an hour before I realised we had a telly!

    Enjoy your day :)
  • Should I stay
    Or should I go now
If I go, there will be trouble
If I stay, they'll be double

5 Butter! Proper stuff. Well Raffles is in a right huff. Ball of fluff. Not off his food though!
    11ufbdv.jpg

4 BrekFest this morning, we had pan gilled snorker, with mushrooms, toms, star griddled tomato topped with pepper and sage. Hot buttered toast and marmite, topped with poached egg. Fresh BoP spring water and concentrate of organe was drunk. And I have had enough of Raspberry Jam for now, a fresh jar of Blackcurrant was opened and put on a slice of Buttered Toast!

3 Yesterday the consultant rebooted Jenny, and we have a retest in 4 weeks or so. Then I have my slicing day organised for 28th June. All done under local! Only hurts when it goes through the elbow! Usual rule, it will hurt them more then it hurts me, hopefully this time they'll not try to toss BoP of the trolley!

2 Yesterday I got the wobbleades inn for the football and woke up this morning and some gorilla has gone through half of them already!

I did not buy it to sit on the shelf
  • Beautiful RAFFLES!!!

A whole lot of pleasures on the walk today starting with the walk itself in warm and slightly sticky weather but with the odd spot of rain falling to keep us cool.

The grass verges are absolutely covered with buttercups and daisies and look like miniature meadows, it's so very pretty.

Because it's such a still day the perfume from the various flowers is hanging in the air particularly the honeysuckle and roses, quite lovely to walk past.

A whole hedge of open ROSA RUGOSA in deep pinks, pale pinks and whites the perfume from these is heady and so many flowers means masses of rose hips, big fat round ones, later in the autumn.

A deep purple vetch that had climbed up and through a run of hedgerow plants to a height of around 4 feet, such a beautiful deep colour and so exotic amongst the paler wild flowers open at the moment.
