Hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far..
1. A slightly slow morning though we were late to bed, DH was very disappointed when I did a healthy brekkie as I am watching our weight just a little.:o
2. We took the car round the corner, the tyre isn’t repairable, looks like while my tyres are ok for the MOT, I will need 4 new tyres so we are researching tonight.
3. We went to the local town on for fruit and veg. Thanks to the footie it was really easy to park and get around. :TWe did the CS’s as usual and I found us what DH had been wanting a while, it’s a floor standing flexible lamp stand with a day light bulb in, it’s about 17 years old, needs a bit of a clean, dh has new castors for it, it came with 3 stands one for a desk one a floor stand and spares,it was in its original packaging with receipts in for the lot which came to over £300:eek: I find it had to fathom, but we paid £9.50 for it:cool:, we did have to do a few car trips with bits and bobs, but needed things:o
4. I stopped in at the garden centre as it’s on the way back to pick up some throw out plants and popped them in the fantastic pot DH bought me that’s hanging in the kitchen, the animals also very happy to “help” me.:rotfl:
5. We are starting to talk about giving a home to a rescue staffie. We are both “thinking about it” but we are both held back so far, as we had to re home a badly troubled white German Shepard about 14 years ago which left us feeling very scarred. We are taking it very very slowly but the thought it definitely there.:D0 -
Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) A lie in!
2) Sons went to see the hens. 2 eggs today.
3) Their passports arrived! Such a dire delivery company - delivering when I am at work and leaving little cards (very helpful!) Then arranging to come on a day when mum and dad could sign for them but NOT phoning parents but leaving another little card...
4) Popped to town to get a new chicken feeder (they have destroyed theirs) but none in the ironmongers. Quite a well known ironmongers hereabouts but the owner seems to have gone a bit odd. :-/ His windows are filled with A3 printed sheets about "corruption" and all sorts of other things. And he's written a book...

5) Helped bigger son clean out his shed and I weeded and tidied the garden.
6) Very much enjoyed the Wales game! Bigger son's school is having shorter lessons on Thursday so they can all watch Wales v England at 2pm. Smaller son's school (and mine) are not.
7) Chips from the van for tea.
8) Went to parents' to watch the England game.0 -

5. My peonies are flowering, they are scented, deep reds and tissue paper pinks. Glorious.0 -

Lie in, hot tea, hens egging, staffie, bookcase drying.
Morning all. Rubs Tum
5 And like last weekend, we have had double snorker weekend again. Good for you. With pan grilled mushrooms, hot buttered and marmite toast, topped with poached egg. Toms and star grilled tom topped with pepper and sage. Tea, and the Blackcurrant jam was also spread nicely on hot buttered toast. Rubs Tum.
3 Watched the Engerland match last eve, and we are out. Of wobbleade. Nice cheese and flakes were also consumed. Good to see the Gendarmerie policing of football has not changed since late February 1984! Mind you, them frogs are used to it, they have lots of unrerst over there and are probably to bothered with their Gintanes than anything else.
No French wine has been bought intentionally since May 1982
1 Tea tonight is snorkers and mash. Then I think we are out of snorkers! Will be served with bat on carrots, garden peas, pan gravy, cauliflower, buttered mint new tatties. Angel of delight, chocolate version, see BoP post passim, bough last week on offer at w8rs, will be whisked up. Country vegetable soup served with wholesome bread will also be served. Just been to w8rs and they have these fartisin breads, with seeds, nuts, onion. eh! Breade is meant to be white! Edible and toastable. Ours is. And at 45p, it certainly gets its worth in the toaster. Gosh that is BoP started now! Right move over who is next?
2 Bothring. Cricket is delayed. You would think they would get a roof for Lords! And BoPsie has served up a cuppa! And biscuit. Rubs Tum!
You turn the thermostat down one degree0 -

Hi everyone. A warm, showery day today but there have been some lovely sunny spells.
1. Out early for a run. Sunny but cool - perfect
2. Lunch with my sister
3. DS homework done without too much persuading
4. Tea all ready in the fridge so just to pop in the oven. Enough left overs for three lunches so two have gone in the freezer.
5. A visit from my mum:)
