9. Feel ready for the school week, lessons are planned and I'm feeling chilled!0 -

PK - I wish I had found more YS this afternoon. More of my trip to Sainsburys to follow!
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) A lie in.
2) No more upset stomach - hoorah!
3) Spent many an hour cleaning, tidying, moving all the seedlings off the windowsills to outside. Put 3 loads of washing away and sheets off the line.
4) Fed the hens with some almost thawed frozen peas to cool them down a bit.
5) Weeded the garden and planted sunflowers and sweet peas. Spent at least an hour doing that.
6) Sainsbury... didn't find anything YS (from what I recall). Went 3.30ish for the bargains and had not been there long when the tannoy said the freezers and fridges were broken. Cue 100 Sainsbury's staff grabbing ALL the food off the shelves and running with trolleys full out the back. Bit of a nuisance - I wanted basics Greek cheese but had to get proper feta from the cheese counter.
Anyway, carried on, got to tills - all card machines packed up. No, I didn't have £49 in cash on me. So we were all sent outside to the cash points - which stopped working. Most people gave up at this point but me and my new friend from the queue (the Welsh Marches' version of Alan Carr) weren't going without our shopping! We spent 10 minutes at customer services then he was allowed to take his shopping (just one bag) and wished me luck but they weren't letting me do the same. I had to drive into town and back by which point the customer services till had stopped working as well, even for cash. So they let me have it for £40. :-)
7) Went swimming with sons and my brother.0 -

Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
BoP has had too much wobbleade and a sore head! PM2DD. Wembley2 #UTM0

What a day today!
Here are my pleasures - quite a few, I think.
1) Good to get up after the worst sleep in years. A lovely, sunny day today.
2) Road to work shut so got to take the scenic route again - very scenic indeed and weaves into Herefordshire for a mile or so. Past the pub I was taken to by my friends after my last A level exam finished - until last Friday's scenic route I had not been that way for 22 years.
3) Work went OK.
4) Back home and the work began. So pleased to get the following done: passport renewals filled in for sons - just got to get the photos now.
and
5) Nice woman on the phone at the Child Maintenance. The ex is refusing to pay voluntarily (of course) so they charge 20% to get the money off him. Sadly, they take the 20% off sons - so they'll be getting £2 a week instead of £2.50. We had a chat about how silly the system is and how we would change it!
and
6) Remembered to cancel NHS appointment.
and
7) Wrote long email to my old and not so good solicitor (in fact, sent it to the company who have taken over her company...) telling them to do the job they should have done back in 2006. :-) All paperwork scanned and attached.
8) Courier arrived with huge sack of layer's pellets we have been waiting for so the hens are probably very full now.
9) Cleaned the bathroom.
10) Washing in off the line.
11) Have decided on the next leg of our holiday. Up to a mountain village inaccessible for road so have been pricing up the funicular and cable car tickets - free for 15 and under!
12) Went to see the hens and LET THEM OUT. It was a bit nerve racking but they strolled round the allotment for half an hour as though they'd been free all their lives. :-) 2 eggs today.
13) Got home and got message my friend had her baby yesterday.
14) In bed already and about to listen to the Unbelievable Truth.0 -
1) Being alive and in fairly good health.
2) going into the woods and seeing the bluebells.
3) Having a nap in the afternoon.
4) watching tv and relaxing some more
5) sitting in the garden and watching the daylight go.
6) My energy company writing to me to tell me that my monthly direct debits are going down and I should have a refund of £60 in my bank tomorrow “Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -
Hello!
So, best laid plans and all that!
I was looking forward to a day of just me and my dog...
Said farewell to OH who is away to Sydney for work.
Was having a lovely chat with friend from home ....
Frantic text from DD2 who's hip had popped out on way to school, pouring with rain, blowing a wee gale! Threw on some clothes and jumped in car and picked a sore baby up. Managed to get an appointment at physio , who did some 'stuff' a bit easier but still sore. This is an ongoing problem , so she's had a bit of a miserable day and has been waited on hand and hip by her mammy!
Just got back in and DD1 phoned 'muuuuum....my bus hasn't came can you run me to uni, please?' One supposed so!
Eyebrows waxed! Ouch! Nice chat with salon staff, they are every friendly.
Popped next door into Salvos and picked up a pair of jeans for free! I've had a loyalty card for about a year which I'd never activated but had been accruing points. Anyway, last week when I was in the manager made me register as I'd accrued $32 worth of points! So quilted blanket ' bought' last week for DS and new to me jeans today. They are a Canadian brand...as I discovered when I googled 'em!
I chanced putting 2 loads of washing out as it was very windy ( OH had a very bumpy flight) . Mostly dry..
Snoozed this afternoon ....longer than my usual snoozette. Woke up a bit disorientated!
Chicken Kiev for tea....yummy! OH doesn't like garlic , or obvious garlic, though I do hide it in other things ...he wasn't here to moan about the smell! Schlurp!
Right, I'm off to get a youngest child sorted out before my bedtime.
Have a lovely day
Kittikins glad you had a lovely birthday !0 -
Art' noon
What a day already. Woke too early but then was nearly late, rushed out of house, forgetting both jacket and brolly and, of course, it started raining just when it was too late to go back to fetch them. Then discovered a button hanging off my shirt and a hole had formed there, so I think I must have caught it. Then discovered a hole in my tooth
Shirt generally mugging me off so I have popped into oxfam and bought a cardi and top, so feel a little mor human now. Have dentist appointment for 6.45 tonight!!
Anyway, pleasures for lately
1 lovely weekend with friends, more walking, more pubs . About 30 miles of Wales coastal path done now, only 840 to go :rotfl:
Saw this http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-north-east-wales-36250322

4 eyebrow wax and tint
5 good London workshop today.
Have a good afternoon and evening allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Just in case you're not aware, BoP's team is going to Wembley2. Just over 7,000 tickets sold on day one.
That's pleasure 99 to 6 sorted!
5 Jenny has had her annual MoT! She is not well. Been adjusted, and a reset. All to do with the kink in the LDA, that causes loss of blood flow round the heart. See, what happens when you stamp your feet. Looks like another intrusive lead to be fitted, and the kink to be splinted. BoPsie is not coping! In the meantime BoP is on the Megaton pills! Arrrgh. Jenny though has 11 years to run!
4 Now I have got that straightened out, BoP, is testing his new pills this week. 10 Megaton Isosorbride 3 Mononitrate. Looks like some kind of fertilizer! One in the morning andf 1 at 2 pm. BoP is now reporting from Mars!
3 Raffles has positioned himself on top of the boiler. It is raining this day! He will come down for his biscuits and meat later!
2 Night BoP could be having a games night with BoPsie! More later.
To have hate inn your heart, will consume you.0
