Finally found sufficient unperished rubber bands to wind up &utah during last hour. It's been hopeless all over again this week, phones, radio ditto.
New mob. needed heart re-start at Mr T today. All data lost, now mostly restored.
The sooner Mr T's petrol returns to town of horse the better - and we've all seen it edge up 6p per litre since start of last week. That's another 2p this week alone.
Yes, Lainey - huge cack of weather, also today, with some rtc sensibles ex Mr T and Emporium ce soir, with free cappuccino......

1...........consumed with Miles Jupp, News Quiz overseer of supreme edgy excellence, so brilliant, with Jeremy H. in even more extended rant than often. Luvverley stuff and deffo. needs More Listening, so catch-up for later sorted already.

    2. Madame Thrush back again for a few days, then darts off again. She flew off out just a few mins ago. [TGIF function somewhere maybe] No idea if there is anything ovarian happening this time, or if she just wants to stay snug and warm. Responses from learned bodies, rspb included, bizarre and varied, therefore no-one really knows.

    3. Spits not great y'day, but modest banking nonetheless today. J. had high-value musket stolen from covered and clamped stock on Commercial Street while parking van in Brick Lane. Noticed nothing amiss until going to affix its bayonet at setting up time. Last week, Bermondsey daylight snatch of complete display case, one of J's 3, all gold - c. £30k gone.... We all try to be vigilant for each other, but if commissioned thefts are deeply planned, they'll happen.

    4. Just as well &'s heading>hometown enzed to sort out Marineland[that was always its proper name back in the day] and the Inky security breach.
Here, from the ghastly daily boil:
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3537524/Inky-octopus-makes-astonishing-escape-National-Aquarium-Napier-New-Zealand.html

As reported in local equally bad[used to be superb]
    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/hawkes-bay-today/news/article.cfm?c_id=1503462&objectid=11623003
Just another job for &'s list :-)

    5. V.glad to have been told about Savings Builder last week at Bank. All sorted and started, thankyou. Interest is a rare beast for &-types. Looking forward to mthly accruals. It's a good flexi-scheme with manageable min. which suits &'s Never Can Predict Spitalfields fortunes.

    6. As usual, no luck phoning enzed Uncle, so phoned another no. Great long talk with cousin's OH and they should be moving into their new-build lifestyle few hectares at end of month. & will pass over that gentle Annie/Taihape Road in hire car, on way down from Mangere. The terrific 2x23kg luggage allowance is already well-plotted, will include a stunning set of French hand-beaten copperware, fabulous pieces with good age, wonderfully beaten, for their kitchen. Only you know this, so don't say.

    6. Think I'll treat self to this, Monday [just about &'s most significant date]
    http://www.treacherousorchestra.com/tour/
-provided bop and lady bopsie set them free the night previous.:
    http://www.haverhillecho.co.uk/what-s-on/stunning-11-piece-folk-band-heads-for-bury-st-edmunds-1-7314960
[it's how & fixed onto Spooky Men's Cborale after all]

& can prob. cope with this:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q75kT02Qb1o
but must specify d/stairs seat as upstairs balcony gauleiters don't allow wild sing and shout and dance and jump about up there.
    #
Au lit, more Drs and bloods and N&P Bank sort-outs for enzed tmrw.
Could well be day to accept Mr John Lewis's kind offer of free cup and cake in Grand Arcade.
& lets most days take own shape on inevitable certainty of 'Man Plans, God Laughs' being spotter on-er than anything else.
    #
Confession: &, pausing at final load-up of &obile during yesterday's 26-hr stretch, felt delight for Liverpool and remembered Mr Gerrard doing similar some years back.

Frith, postie calls. And will call again next week - you'll understand why. Of course the blitty things couldn't turn up in time to go with first envelope, could they?

Bonne nuit à tout et à tous, y compris les nouveaux mhags 'roos.

McHags and family, congratulations on the citizenship.

    1. We’ve another animal who came down poorly this morning very rapidly, they are similar ages so we did kind of know it would happen one day, Rushed him off to a new to us vets who are brilliant thankfully, but the initial tests ruled out most things. So they have done bloods, fussed him saying how gorgeous he is. He’s now back home with a special food he thinks is evil. So now two special animals on med’s twice a day and other jealous animals. Doh, have to wait for the bloods to arrive back. He’s all curled up oneside and the other sicky the other side… no pressure.

    2. Booked car in for an MOT tomorrow after realising that’s when it runs out, while waiting for the vets with a tea round the corner in the Tesc0 caf.

    3. I’m really happy with my clothes progress this afternoon, 1 big bag to the blue cross. I cleared about 25 hangers from wardrobe and created a semi capsule work wardrobe. I discovered a pair of smart work shoes, I have a suspicion they are painful but only one way to find out, surely I would have thrown them if they were bad??? I am also getting to the point where I am ready to clear my 2 boxes of clothes to CS, there is no point having to many I don’t know what’s there.:o

    4. I’ve started gathering a few bits for DH’s birthday, a glow keyring, and a replacement ferret t shirt have been ordered so far. Gathering them as I think of them.:o

    5. Ordered a pre loved book for pennies.:)

Thank you, Ampersand - I shall keep an eye out.

Congratulations, Hagsters! Or Sheilas and Bruces now.

Worst sore throat ever today. Had a day off work. No sleep as it was (is) sore but then constricts (?) and feels full of grit leading to lovely struggle to breathe and retching. :-/

    Pleasures for today!

    1) Going back to bed after sons left. Still couldn't sleep due to choking/pain but there are worse things than lying about in the warm.

    2) Did some paperwork! It won't sound like much but necessitated emails, phone calls (many) and web searches. I a) sent stuff to the Land Registry to get house in my maiden name and b) wrote to the court to get a copy of official paperwork so I can sort out the stupid clause put on the deeds incorrectly. The nice court lady found the documents immediately so said she would waive the £50 fee and charged me £10 for photocopying, postage etc.

    3) Paid off final, FINAL debt! I didn't count this in the mass of debts following divorce as it was an overpayment by Tax Credits in 2004. Have been paying it off at £10 a month ever since but was not too much left today so paid it off in one go. Can I have an MSE sticker?!

    4) Watched Holby City whilst reclined on the sofa.

    5) Made smaller son's favourite tea - just salmon done in the oven mixed with pasta, peas and mayonnaise.

    6) Watched Gogglebox.

    7) In bed with hwb and will listen to the News Quiz just now.

    1. Lovely coffee first thing in the morning. Frank it wandering round the garden.

    2. Arranging to meet a friend for lunch in a couple of weeks. Haven't had a proper conversation with her for ages.

    3. Stripped the wallpaper from DS1 bedroom - the pleasure is that it rained all day and I didn't want to be outside.

    4. Enjoyed watching the birds feeding on their feeders. Since I've been putting food out for them regularly the amount of birds coming to the garden has increased.

    5. Did some more decluttering today. I need to do loads more.

    1. DD's netball training has shifted an hour earlier, so it meant I could leave school at 6:30pm and listen happily to Miles, Jeremy and the others on R4 whilst driving :)

    2. More and more people at my current school know I'm leaving through the grapevine - and they're all hearing about the chickens!

    3. We're all getting excited about the residential trip on Monday. I think I've planned for every eventuality...

    4. Got to cuddle one of my pupils' gorgeous 4 week old brother after school - and was very happy to hand him back. Babies rarely make me broody any more, thank goodness!

    5. DD - she's been a bit moody and teenagerish this week, but thankfully has reverted to her gorgeous self for the start of the weekend!
  • Well done Mhags. Netball! Now that sport BoP has problems photographing, bit fast for him! & You need to boot your putah. Decent size none boots!
    Elephant inn the Parish

5 Smuginess has enveloped the Pad of BoP. BoPsie has problems with her head this very day. More later, but remember an elephant is present inn the Parish

4 BoP watched a JW last night, The High and The Mighty. Classic disaster movie before they came the rage. They had just enough of everything to get home. Oh bull, I has given it away!

3 Normal Saturday Snorker fest again. Snorkers, with best back, mushrooms, baked beans, hot marmite buttered toast topped with a poached egg. Rubs Tum. Sticky chicken done for this evening. Normal service has resumed. Now on the can of proper treacle, the dark version that some waste in October. Warning on can says dispose of on expiry! Ah, it expires in October 2016. It did not reach its expiry!

2 Day BoP is at the Rugby. More soon!

    Never Forgets

Oh, BoPsie has found her card!

Quick pleasures for today. Still a bit ill but signs of improvement as the day went on.

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Bigger son worked in his shed all day. He mended the hoover for me (took it apart and got dust out!)

    3) Smaller son and I more ill than bigger son so we did a lot of lying down and watching TV.

    4) New handle for ancient cooker arrived in the post. (Really treating it this week - a clean then a handle for the inside glass door!)

    5) Big hen OK. Had to go in the car to feed him as could not have walked that far. :-/

    6) Watched Casualty.

    7) In bed with hwb and might listen to News Quiz again.
  • 1) It's a lovely sunny day and not too cold.

    2) my third wash load is almost finished and the other two are on the line drying.

    3) Due to n incredibly early start today the house is clean and tidy and all my chores other than cooking meals are done so I can have a quiet afternoon.

    4) Zebra et. al come home tonight, so looking forward to a skype chat when they're over the lag that flying causes.

    5) My front lawn is covered in fully out bluebells and looks so pretty!
