Frith - hen house looks fab well done to bigger son ! Have you a name for your first resident ?
PK - the only soup I seem to be able to make is onion, potato and carrot with a bit of black pepper and garlic and a chicken stock cube.! Any other attempts just taste blerghh !!! Probably my cooking
Pleasures for Friday
1. did some batch cooking for DS - satay chicken, chilli meatballs, bacon and choritzo burgers, 1kg of diced roasted sweet potato ...phew !
2. more bedding washed and dried out on the line ... am loving this sunshine.
3. inspected the alley behind the house and no new fly-tipping overnight. Just one bin to get rid of now but its half full of concrete  and too heavy for me to lift so DS will need to help me lift it into my car on his day off. Whilst out there I found a metal clothes stand someone had dumped further down outside someone elses house - one of the decorative ones in the shape of a body - and it was in great condition apart from one rusty screw which can be replaced. I knew my friend had been looking at buying one so a quick phone call and she came round and got it.
4. picked up prescription meds grateful for free prescriptions and got a sneaky crème egg - well they were reduced 2 for £1 so would have been rude not toGave the other one to DS
5. chilli meatballs for tea ... nom nom

Wishing all the poorlies well, it's a rotten time for viruses, flu, bugs etc at the moment. Speedy recovery.
1. Joined SW last week, ate as suggested, feel fat as a pig, lost 2lb. There's no rhyme nor reason to some things but in this case I'm not questioning why
2. Gave a talk to a group of 6th formers who had volunteered to attend. It shouldn't but it still makes me so sad at how many are related to, or have a friends who suffers from the addiction of topic. A very good Q&A session, a couple of them interested in attending an open meeting to find out more. A very well spent couple of hours.
3. A line of washing in the sun and breeze, looking forward to the fresh air smell when I bring it in.
4. Plans drawn up for redesigning my bedroom and turning the small bedroom into a dressing room, it's going to cost a lot less than I thought as a friend of the family is going to do it for me. Quite exciting, I've always wanted my own dressing room
5. Treated myself to a leg of lamb, it must be 10 years since I bought one. It was half price so too good to resist and will last several meals/sandwiches etc., so very good value
Enjoy this lovely weather, long may it last0 -
Hi folks, back again after going awol in March (big significant birthday celebrations)
1. Summer bulbs planted.
2. 2 loads of washing line dried in the sunshine
3. Menu plan done and shopping was well within budget.
4. New flooring chose for kitchen, living room and the bathrooms.... now just need to finish saving up.
5. Dirty Dancing tickets bought... and tonight will have a nice glass of vino and get practising my moves (without any 'lifts') or they may be a trip to A and E needed.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend folks xWell Behaved women seldom make history

1. We had a really lovely day, up early and did a spur of the moment visit out to a localish transport fair we saw an ad for last night.:)
2. It was far better than I was expecting, the weather was kind which always helps but can’t believe I semi caught the sun on my face, that is how pale I am.:o:rotfl:
3. We found some little model cars we collect with our animal names on, ones now a proud owner of a tiny purple VW beetle, the other has a little truck, little treasures to us.:T
4. We also found a nature reserve opposite the show site to visit another time, all part of my plan to try and enjoy where we live, which fell apart when we got home.
We have been working to enjoy where we live, buying local, nice neighbours thankfully, finding woodland to walk, but “some people” of the area really let the place down, our road is a bit “finickity”, we encountered road rage of a loosely speaking man who didn’t appear to know how to not swear for literally every single “word”. And then proceeded to threaten where we live. I feel a bit sad to have made my mind up to leave the area. We will need to do some work on the house, and it certainly won’t be for some time yet, due to DF commitments. At least it's a decision made.0 -

5) Did some tidying up ready for sons coming home tomorrow.
6) Booked tickets online for Brighton pier next week.
7) Brother came round for chips, tea and allotment viewing.
8) Watched Casualty.
9) In bed with 1 hwb.0 -
1. Meal from the press for lunch: mince round, roast new tatties and carrots roasted in lemon juice & wholegrain mustard
2. Lazy day spent inside reading and listening to the radio
3. Mr Z nipped in for YS when out at his delivery job. 9p rolls, 10p hoummous, 15p salad and 19p chicken breasts. Rolls with hoummous and salad and tandoori kebabs for our car picnic tomorrow.
4. Planning our expedition for tomorrow. Checking out another castle. Of which there are many in Argyll.
5.Sorted work basket and readied the sewing pile for tomorrow when Mr Z is out again.
6. Advert placed on local FB account for my wee ironing service :A0 -
Yay to Betty settling into new home !
PK sorry to hear of you feeling forced out of the area you live inWe are lucky one set of neighbours are fantastic and really supportive, most others keep themselves to themselves. Only 1 side very inconsiderate but no major problems I suppose. Locally the area has gone downhill lots of fly tipping, old fridge freezers especially  and lots more rubbish and dog mess (sorry TMI) which doesn't seem to get cleared up now they have cut the park rangers and other council cuts
Zaxdog - great YS bargains there.
Pleasures for Saturday
1. had breakfast with DS when he got in from night shift. He'd had a difficult night so was nice to be able to let him offload some stress
2. managed two more loads of washing including towels and dried in the sunshine
3. walked to friends house in just a t-shirt (and jeans etc !) no need for cardi or coatand had nice chat and cuppa
4. nice chat to DM on her 70th birthday. Cant believe she's 70 ! She was here last week with my dad who's 75 both gardening and digging and putting up my new fence ! So lucky they are both in such good health.
5. had a lazy afternoon sat with feet up catching up on recorded tv Elementary, Castle, Grantchester (still not sure I like this series), Extant.
Have a good sunday everyone. Sun is shining here so off to find more washing to do. Feel the need when the sun is out :rotfl:0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

BoP, balls with attitude in the hexadecimal world. It is six times better than just one and nothing!
5 BoP was in w8rs this very mornig, and BoPsie cut loose. So I continued to fill trolley up with man stuff. I put in the golden flakes of corn. Crumpets and bread. BoPsie reappeared, and had exactly the same as BoP. She has morphed into BoP!

3 Just had mega snorker fest for Sunday lunch. Makes a change! Three butchers pork and apple snorkers, with hot roasted toe nail onions. Proper mash, with butter and milk. Door stop carrots, peas and cabbage. Proper gravy, not that ah carpio muck. No pudding was served, so no lumpy custard this weekend. Rubs Tum.
2 Just sitting down for the T20 final. Bring it on.

Another beautiful day, so didn't have my usual Sunday lie in... up early ironing basket emptied, not a pleasure, but done!
1. Bedding all changed and line dried... it smells so much fresher when dried outside.
2. A nice 3 hours gardening, planting shrubs, greenhouse sorted and a general tidy up. Used my new tiller, great machine and my back was very grateful I didn't need to dig/fork the soil over.
3. A half leg of lamb in the slow cooker with rosemary, garlic and mint.... smells lovely.
4. Made a chicken and mushroom pie for in the week and some spicy parsnip soup for lunches.
5. Now got my feet up with a nice cup of Americano and some gardening magazines my mum gave meWell Behaved women seldom make history
